9 Day Southeast Asia Itinerary, incl. Ho Chi Minh City and Angkor Wat
A rich 9-day route connects 5 destinations from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok. The tour features Mekong Delta cruises, Angkor Wat sunrise tours, and traditional Khmer meals.

- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Your Southeast Asia adventure begins in Ho Chi Minh City. Plan for a 45-minute trip from the airport to the city center. Traffic can double this time during rush hour. A guest mentioned: "The hotel in Saigon was centrally located, but request a room away from street noise for better rest after the long flight."

- Day 2
Mekong Delta Day Trip
Head out for a full-day trip to the Mekong Delta. The journey takes 2-3 hours each way. You'll visit local candy factories and take boat rides through villages. One visitor noted: "Getting close to the honey bees and sampling local produce was a highlight of the Mekong cruise." Don't forget insect repellent and a hat for protection from the strong delta sun.

- Day 3
Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh
- Day 4
Phnom Penh
Visit the Killing Fields and S-21 Prison in the morning. Use the afternoon to explore the Royal Palace ($10) or Central Market. One traveler shared: "The Grand Palace at night during the cyclo tour was spectacular." The riverside cafes are perfect after 4 PM when it's cooler.
- Days 5-7
Siem Reap & Angkor Wat
Take a six-hour drive to Siem Reap. You'll have two full days to explore Angkor's temples. Watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat by arriving at 5 AM. Visit Ta Prohm early on your second day to avoid crowds. A recent visitor suggested: "The heat between 11 AM-3 PM is intense – use this time for lunch and pool breaks at your hotel. The Nagara Angkor Boutique hotel's pool was perfect for afternoon cooldowns."
- Days 8-9
Bangkok
Travel four hours to Bangkok through the Cambodia-Thai border. Spend your final day exploring Bangkok. While the hotel near Chinatown offers peace and quiet, it's not close to main attractions. Look into the Sukhumvit area if you want to stay longer.

What people love about 10-day South East Asia tours
- Cambodia Experience
A well planned tour with knowledgeable local guides
- Cambodia: Ancient Ruins & Boat Rides
The journey was a dream. It certainly wasn't a luxurious vacation, but one could experience so much like never before. Seeing the side of Cambodia where there isn't much, yet everyone is happy and giving their best made our tour fantastic. It was incredible, and I can recommend it to everyone.A special thanks goes to our CEO Sarou, who made the journey even more enjoyable than ever. The only thing that slightly irritated me was the additional transfer I booked. There was no information upon my arrival, and for the departure, it arrived too late, nearly causing me to miss my flight due to the airport's busyness. Also, remember to carry more cash with you, as every single day you might end up paying an extra $20 for an activity that wasn't really mentioned.
- Golden Triangle of Indochina In 10 Days (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos)
I went on the Golden Triangle of Indochina In 10 Days (Cambodia,Vietnam,Laos) tour organized by Realistic Asia. I was looking for a multi country tour that was not too long. And found Realistic Asia. I was a bit hesitant as I was not familiar with them but decided to give them a try. As soon as I booked the trip, I was supported all the way before I even stepped foot in the first country. All my questions were answered. I was periodically checked on by the organizer during the trip. Thanks Long! The tour was private in Cambodia and Laos with just a driver and a guide. In Vietnam I joined independent group tours. In Cambodia, I had Pheng as my guide. He was very knowledgeable. His historical knowledge is vast and goes beyond just Cambodia. He great and genuine interest in my country. In Laos, I had Phet as my guide. Also knowledgeable and very helpful. He went above and beyond by standing by when I was checking in and going through the passport control process at the airport when I was leaving. The accommodation was great. Shout out to the Staff and manager of Hari Residence and Spa in Siem Reap who take customer service to exceptional levels. They are the one of the kindest hotel staff I have ever met. All in all I would recommend Realistic Asia to family and friends. Thank you for making this trip memorable. Thank you Long, Pheng and Phet!
