      Arrival & First Impressions

Take a quick 20-minute taxi from Changi Airport to your hotel in Marina Bay or Orchard Road. Most hotels start check-in at 2 PM but will store your bags earlier. Get an EZ-Link transit card at the airport. It works on all buses and MRT trains so you won't need to buy individual tickets.

    • Day 2

      City Orientation

Start at 8 AM to avoid the heat. Visit the Arab Quarter in Kampong Glam first. You'll get great morning photos of Sultan Mosque. Head to the UNESCO Botanic Gardens and see the National Orchid Garden before the midday humidity. A recent visitor noted: "The daily tours were max 4 hours, which left enough time to explore on your own – this gave a good balance to my days."

      Colonial Heritage & Evening Glamour

Take the morning to explore independently. The evening colonial tour starts at St. Andrew's Cathedral and continues to CHIJMES, a beautiful converted convent. Stop by the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel around 6 PM for the original Singapore Sling before the tourist crowds arrive. Remember to dress smart casual. No flip-flops allowed.

Hotels typically want you out by noon. If you have an evening flight, leave your bags at the hotel and spend time shopping on Orchard Road. It's just 10 minutes by taxi from most hotels. Head to the airport 3 hours before international flights since traffic can be unpredictable.

    • Days 1-3

      Bangkok, Thailand

Once you check in around 2 PM, spend your first evening getting settled and sampling street food at Sukhumvit Soi 38 night market. Head to the Grand Palace early on day 2 around 7:30 AM to avoid crowds and heat. Remember the dress code requires covered shoulders and knees. A light scarf works well as backup coverage. Visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside the palace, then take a long-tail boat through Bangkok's canals to Wat Arun. The late morning sun makes for great photos of the temple spires. Day 3 is open for exploring. You can visit the Damnoen Saduak floating market, but plan to leave Bangkok by 6 AM to see it at its liveliest between 7-10 AM. Another option is the Jim Thompson House museum. Book your English tour ahead since spots fill quickly.

    • Day 4

      Bangkok to Singapore

The flight to Singapore takes about 2.5 hours. Pick a mid-morning flight to skip Bangkok's airport rush hour from 6-8 AM. Be aware that Singapore has strict customs rules. Even bringing in chewing gum can get you fined.

    • Days 5-7

      Singapore

Start at Gardens by the Bay and visit the Cloud Forest first thing to beat the crowds and worst of the humidity. Around lunch, explore Chinatown and grab local food at Maxwell Food Centre's hawker stalls. Use day 6 to see more sights. The Night Safari at Singapore Zoo is a good evening option. Get there when it opens at 7:30 PM to avoid lines. One visitor shared: "The Sands SkyPark at sunset offers incredible city views, but book your tickets online to avoid the long queues, especially during golden hour." If your flight timing works, spend your last morning at the National Orchid Garden in the Botanic Gardens, which opens at 8:30 AM. Many hotels will let you check out late until 2 PM if you ask ahead.
