Istanbul

Nile Cruise
Visit sites between Aswan and Luxor early to beat the heat. Get to Abu Simbel before 9 AM to enjoy the temple in peace. Philae Temple looks beautiful at sunset. Pick upper deck cabins for better views but expect more engine noise.

Petra
It's a 3-hour drive from Amman to Petra. Break up the trip with a stop at Mount Nebo. Start your Siq walk by 7 AM to see the Treasury without crowds. A recent visitor shared: "The morning light in Petra's Siq is incredible—the rose-colored walls seem to glow. Start early and bring plenty of water."

Jordan
Fly to Amman and drive to the Roman ruins of Jerash. Visit Petra early the next day, entering through the Siq to see the Treasury in the morning light. You'll walk 5-8 miles in Petra, so good shoes are a must. Take a guided tour in the morning and explore on your own in the afternoon when the lighting is perfect for photos.

Get there by 9 AM to beat the heat. "The Roman ruins at Jerash were incredibly well-preserved. Hire a local guide to really understand the history," one traveler recommends.

Petra
Take the scenic 3-hour drive on the King's Highway to Petra. Stop at Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map and enjoy the valley views from Mount Nebo. You'll reach Petra by late afternoon. The next day start at 7 AM before the crowds arrive. It takes about 30 minutes to walk the 2km Siq to the Treasury. Wear shoes with good grip since the ancient stone paths are slippery. Bring lots of water since temperatures inside can hit 100°F/38°C.

Wadi Rum & Dead Sea
Start with a morning jeep tour in Wadi Rum. Drive 4 hours to float in the Dead Sea during the afternoon. Bring water shoes to protect against sharp salt crystals. The best swimming time is before sunset when it's cooler. Return to Amman for the night, about an hour away.

Cairo
Take a 2-hour flight from Amman to Cairo. Book afternoon flights to avoid morning traffic. On day 7 visit the Pyramids of Giza first thing. One reviewer noted: "Getting to the pyramids by 8 AM meant we could explore in relative peace before the tour buses arrived."
- Days 8-9
Luxor
Fly to Luxor early morning (1 hour). See the Valley of the Kings before 11 AM to avoid crowds and heat. Board your Nile cruise for lunch. Visit Karnak Temple late afternoon for great photos. Cruise overnight to Edfu.
- Days 10-11
Nile Cruise
Start early at Edfu Temple before sailing to Kom Ombo. Next day you'll reach Aswan. You can take an optional trip to Abu Simbel (3 hours each way) but book early as it fills up fast.

Cairo
Fly back to Cairo in the morning. Visit the Egyptian Museum early to see the King Tut exhibits before crowds arrive. Spend the afternoon exploring Islamic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili bazaar if you like. Use your final morning for any last activities before departure.

Overall, our experience was very positive. Most of the guides were knowledgeable and professional; however, the Aswan tour guide did not meet our expectations. The company addressed our feedback appropriately. The White Desert was a highlight of our trip. The team was highly professional we had the opportunity to meet the manager, who accompanied us during our night in the desert. They prepared dinner, played music, and created a memorable and enjoyable atmosphere. It was truly an amazing evening. Our guide was exceptional, and the driver who picked us up from the hotel also provided excellent service. We concluded our journey in Jordan, where the service remained exceptional. We were warmly welcomed at the airport and assisted with the visa process. Our driver to Petra and the Dead Sea was professional, attentive, and truly went above and beyond. Initially this tour might seem slightly expensive, but considering everything (except exiting fees and visa to Jordan). Three whole days on a bus with a fantastic guide, visiting Jerash, Amman, Petra and Wadi Rum, all entrances paid and as well as two breakfasts, three lunches, two dinners (all of them great) and two nights of accommodation for under USD 660 pp is a real bargain!
