- Days 1-2
Bishkek & Chong-Kemin
Begin your journey in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital, then travel to the peaceful Chong-Kemin Valley. "We were pleasantly surprised by how nice, polite and helpful the local people were," one traveler shared. Visit the historic Burana Tower, an unusual find in this nomadic region. Book a local guesthouse in Ashuu village early since rooms are limited.

- Days 3-4
Song Kul Lake & Tamga
Take a 4-hour drive through the beautiful Kalmak-Ashuu pass to Song Kul Lake at 3,016m. Pack for varied weather since temperatures can swing dramatically at this height. You'll spend the night in a traditional yurt camp. The mountain pass might be closed in May-June due to weather conditions. Next stop is Tamga village by Lake Issyk-Kul.

- Days 5-6
Karakol & Jeti-Oguz
Visit Karakol to see its distinct architecture, including the Chinese-style Dungan Mosque. Start your day early to explore Jeti-Oguz Gorge with its famous "Broken Heart" and "Seven Bulls" formations. Wear good hiking shoes as the trails can get slippery. One visitor noted: "The hikes in dramatic landscapes were a highlight of the trip."

- Days 7-8
Kazakhstan (Saty Village & Almaty)
- Days 9-11

What people love about 2-week Central Asia tours
- Best of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan
Overall, the tour was good. Said, the guide, sent a daily schedule, which helped with organizing. Sometimes, the information was not always clear, however, and he seemed annoyed when we asked for clarity, I was told that G Adventures doesn't do tipping kitties, yet my notes say that they do. It would have been very helpful on this trip as people were unsure of when and how much to tip. The trip notes should have stated that there would be a two hour walking tour of Bishkek. That city guide there was excellent unlike the one in Almaty, wh gave wrong information and would turn his back while talking. The yurt experience was terrible! There were three toilets and one shower for approximately 40 people. The shower consisted of two buckets of cold water, and the bins in the toilets were overflowing. Often, the drivers were often chatting as Said was talking, making it hard to hear him. There needed to be a 5-10 minute warning, when we were arriving somewhere by car, so that people could pack up their things, etc. Often, the orientation walks were just walking to a restaurant. It would have been helpful to have a printed map of the towns along with a guide of a few words (e.g. hello, thank you) in the native language. Also, a list of the hotels would have been useful as I've gotten them on previous trips along with where laundry was available. I was nervous on the hikes as Said and others who were quite agile took off and left some of us behind. When we had an assistant, Beck, he tended to be part way ahead, not in the back as instructed. Our last two nights, we were at restaurants where we didn't all fit at one table, which meant that people were excluded. I'm sure that there were other restaurants that could have been chosen. Overall, the tour was good, and Said was helpful when people needed specific information or help.
- Central Asia 14 days tour
Knowledgeable guides that spoke very good English. Enjoyable scenery on high speed train journeys. Comfortable hotels in good locations. Uzbekistan is a beautiful country with friendly people and colourful culture. The country has a long rich Ancient, Islamic, Russian, and post-Soviet history. I would strongly recommend it. I intend to return again in the future.
- Tour along 5-stans countries - Silk Road of Central Asia
We had the most amazing time on the Silk Road of Central Asia tour. From the time we were picked up from the airport to drop off, arrangements were beyond seamless and we went through multiple border crossings including Turkmenistan. All the guides and drivers, Mirza Baig, Rifat, Ikram, Victoria, Aziz, Shobat, Murad, Feroz, Firengez, Jamshed, Farziboy, Gucc, apologies, missing few names, and I might be misspelling, made sure that we had a great time ..everyone went above and beyond the standard tour.. with vegetarian food help, drop offs pick ups, to options during free time..so much history, architecture, landscapes all beyond words or pictures. All five countries were amazing and so much to offer, soft spoken wonderful people sharing their 1000+ years of history!! We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and it just could not have been better…Thank you for making this one our most memorable experience!!
