Hiking & Trekking Tours & Trips in Slovakia
What if you hiked Slovakia's mountains that nobody talks about? The High Tatras have jagged peaks, traditional wooden villages dot the valleys, and alpine lakes are everywhere. These treks follow ridge walks with stunning views, through valleys where mountain huts serve local food. Slovakia's hiking is seriously underrated - Central European hospitality mixed with landscapes that feel remote.

Tour guides were very nice and friendly with excellent knowledge about the region and selected tours were well chosen and adapted to our level. Accommodation was quite simple, breakfast not so good (and not too healthy for hikers) in a small village - which was authentic on the one side but if you have no car, it is a bit more difficult to move around in the later afternoon/evening. All in all an experience I don't want to miss.

The demanding 21km Rysy summit trail climbs 1,154m to reach 2,500m, the highest peak you can access from Slovakia's High Tatras. There's also a 16km mountain circuit that ascends 968m to a 2,314m pass, passing seven alpine lakes, plus a 15.4km trek that gains 670m elevation to reach the bright green waters of Zelené pleso.
