It was awesome to spend more time actually exploring and experiencing the cities and places, rather than on a coach. The accommodation was all really good, and all central. Our TM, Lee, certainly made the trip that much better - she was so knowledgeable, always keen to give us (really great) recommendations for local things and places to eat, and always up for a good talk and to find out more about us and to share her stories. The group size of the trips makes bonding even easier than on others. I must also note that the inclusions and optionals were great. Local guides are the friendliest and some of the most interesting and kind people I've met. Would definitely recommend Vietnam, and with Contiki, to anyone.

I attended a tour through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia and found it overall to be above the standard expected.

The tour manager was very friendly and easy to get along with, she was patient with the loud people in the group and always managed to ensure we knew enough about the local environment to either accompany her for food and activities or find our own way.
The accommodation was above the standard expected, all rioms were twin share which assured excellent privacy and some of the hotels were very good, with nice bars and pools.
Transportation was a mix of mosty local bus drivers, with some flying and tuk tuks in towns. The bus drivers were all great and there were no issues with the non-Contiki tuk tuks or airlines.
Overall, the tour was even better than i expected with a perfect mix of culture and nightlife and i would definitely recommend both the company and the individual tour managers to anyone.

The easy pace tour was so enjoyable as I had a lot of time to do things at each place and still got to relax.
The people in the group are all very nice and I wish I had more time this great bunch of people! Lee, as the "leader" of the conitki family, is very approachable and patient yet very responsible even on party nights!

Now that it's over, I can honestly say that Lee made this trip 10x better than it would have been if I went exploring on my own. She is extremely good at what she does, deftly managing different personalities within the group, and arranging complicated travel logistics so that we could make the most of our time in Thailand. Skilled tour guides like Lee are the number one reason I would choose to travel with Contiki again!

Lee while being exceptional at what she does, has a beautiful soul as well. She is infectious in her enthusiasm and love for travel and experiences. As team manager Lee provided myself and others with provoking idea's and concepts which challenged our beliefs and allowed us to see another side of the human experience.

Gypsy was a wonderful tour guide and such a lovely person to spend the tour with. More of a friend and fellow traveller than someone working for the company! She was very knowledgeable, fun and put everyone else's needs first. Considering the number of people on our tour she did an incredible job of keeping everyone together and I remember when we were in KO phi phi and the small task of finding a restaurant that had space for around 40 people she made it look easy! Everything ran like clockwork because of Lee's organisational skills and I reached out to Lee ahead of booking my Vietnam tour for some information, which she was more than happy to help me with and said I would love it, which I did! Just a shame she was a couple of days behind us on a different tour :( 5* 10/10 100/100 couldn't be any better at what she does! X

I travelled to Thailand for 2 months with a friend. We did the 9 day Thai West Island Hopper tour and the both of us agreed that that was the best part of our trip, hands down. The vibes that we got from our group, but more importantly from our Tour Manager, Lee, we're incredibly warming. We felt like we were in complete safety & comfort, adventuring with people whom we've known for what seemed like an eternity, all while learning about the country and places we were visiting thanks to Lee's knowledge. The whole thing was just spectacular. Thanks to Contiki, we were able to meet friends from all over the world and connect with people faster than we ever have before. If I were to ever go on another tour (which I will) I would definitely request Lee as my tour guide (whether it was possible to do so or not) and suggest her to anybody thinking of taking on a Contiki tour in the future.

I tried Contiki in hopes that it would allow me to see and experience Thailand in an informative way – and it certainly delivered. Lee was the most amazing tour manager I could have imagined. She has extensive personal history in Thailand, and brought to life the areas we visited without making the experience feel like a typical "tour-guide" experience. On occasions where I mentioned certain things I was interested in, Lee not only mentioned places to go but would offer to connect me with people. She has a knack for making people feel comfortable and safe while also encouraging and energizing the fun in the group. I would take another trip with Lee a million times over.

Having done a few tours previously, I knew from day one that we had ourselves one of the best TMs in the business. Every attribute you could wish for in a TM she had in abundance. Her knowledge of everything relating to Thailand was exceptional, she helped us to travel in a way that respected the local culture, whilst still ensuring we had the trip of a lifetime. She got the balance of being the life of the party, and remaining a professional down to a tee. Since I started using Contiki, I have had eight TMs, and whilst they have all been great, hence my repeat custom, not one of them has come close to being as wonderful as Lee. Since finishing her tour, she has been an invaluable source of travel information, only ever a message away, and always happy to offer advice on anything, even now, years later. Contiki are so lucky to have such an inspirational, talented and all-round wonderful lady working for them, and anyone who gets her as a TM is in for the time of their life.
