Ashleigh has been a fantastic guide. She is very knowledgeable, really knows the areas we visited well & is really great at what she does. She is always going above & beyond to make sure everyone is getting the most out of their trip & everyone is accommodated for.

It balanced so many different facets of Japanese culture while creating a warm and welcoming environment for all partaking in the tour. This was in no small part thanks to our guide Ashleigh who from day one made a considered effort to get to know and include every member of the group. Each day was thoughtfully planned and led, not only through the set itinerary but through additions of local knowledge, and suggestions for what to do in our free time. Highlights of the tour include a sushi making class in the Tsukiji Markets, a Kendo class in Kyoto, and the numerous beautiful temples and mountainous scenery. What made the tour truly special was the group of individuals that by the end of the two weeks I could truly call my friends, including our guide Ashleigh who perfectly balanced her professional role while becoming a true friend to the group. My only criticism of the tour was the final 4 days (the extension from the 10 day tour) felt as though there could have been more thrown in. While the final Temple stay in Koyasan was beautiful and Hiroshima was undoubtedly a highlight of the trip, the large amount of free time and early departure on the final day could have provided opportunity for more activities. Despite these small gripes, I would highly recommend the tour and Ashleigh's leadership truly made the trip unforgettable.

From start to finish, every single moment was filled with rich cultural experiences, meaningful connections, and so many memories that I’ll carry with me forever.
Each day was thoughtfully curated with unique, immersive activities that I never would’ve been able to plan on my own. Some of the standout moments included sushi-making in the Tsukiji Fish Markets, temple stays in both Takayama and Koyasan, the guesthouse in Hakone, and Kendo in Kyoto. We walked over 20,000 steps a day, but every single one was worth it. Not a single experience was missed.
The organisation of the trip was flawless. Each evening, we received a detailed plan for the following day, complete with clear directions, local insights, and transportation tickets already organised for us. Even during free time, we were given thoughtful suggestions tailored to our location and interests, which really helped us to make the most of our trip.
What also stood out to me was how inclusive and balanced the group dynamic felt. As someone who doesn’t drink or enjoy the party scene, I was a little unsure of what to expect, but this trip was refreshingly different from the typical party-heavy tours.
And then, there were the people. I had never done a group tour before, but by the end of the trip, I wasn’t just travelling with strangers, I was leaving with a new family.
At the centre of it all was Ashleigh,
our guide, our friend, and truly one of the most remarkable people I’ve ever met. She is the kind of leader who sets the tone for the entire experience: calm, caring, endlessly patient, and incredibly organised. She knew when to take charge and when to simply hold space. She was always there for us, whether it was helping navigate a train station, ensuring we ticked off our bucket list, or just checking in to make sure we were okay. Her ability to be both a friend and a guide is rare and special, and she is without a doubt one of the reasons this trip meant so much to me.
I will be recommending this experience to anyone and everyone I know. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate. Say yes.

The locations we visited on this trip were amazing, including some more off the beaten track locations that ended up being my favourite like Takayama which I hadn’t heard of before. It wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible guide Ash who brought all the vibes, but also made everything so incredibly smooth! I want Ash to travel everywhere with me! I would reccomend this trip to anyone thinking about travelling to Japan it has been the best 2 weeks!

This trip had the perfect amount of activities/attractions, free time and information in general about Japan. Ashleigh made this trip unforgettable, making us feel comfortable and like a family from the very first conversation. She was funny, welcoming and very knowledgeable and made exploring Japan exciting and fun. This was the perfect trip to book as a first time to visit Japan, and I can’t express how happy I am overall with the organisation and planning of the tour, to Ashleigh being the best tour guide she could be. Could not fault anything, it was perfect.

I cannot stress enough how beautiful and tranquil this amazing country is, and having Ash as our guide truly elevated the entire fortnight to an experience I didn’t believe was possible. From the temple stays, to the tiny side streets and secret photo spots, Ashleigh’s wealth of knowledge showed the entire group more than we could have ever known. Personally, the support and advice I received for my proposal turned it into a dream come true. The entire group felt like a true family, an achievement dwarfed only by how much our friendships grew in only two weeks. I cannot recommend Ashleigh enough, words truly fail me.

This has been an absolutely fantastic trip completely packed with wonderful views, experiences, great people, delicious food, and a lot of fun times. The Japanese people are adorable and the culture is precious, respectful and worthy. The group got really close with each other quite rapidly and it made the trip very enjoyable. Ashleigh did a great job with taking care of everyone, keeping structure and good organization of the group and trip, while being our best friend at the same time. Great experience and lots of learning.

Every spot was well thought out, from the big attractions to the restaurants and all the recommendations for free time. It was well paced, I like that we stayed in two locations for three nights while still seeing many sights. Our tour guide Ashleigh was amazing, looked after us so well and was very knowledgeable! The accommodations were all lovely too!

Heads up, this tour is fully based on using public transport. So be prepared for that!

T…This was my first time taking an organized travel tour for multiple days and it was an incredible experience. I went with another person, but it would also be a good experience for a solo traveller. The tour includes everything: accommodations, several meals, transportation (local and inter-city), and fees for many attractions. Even though there are a few early mornings, it was so worth it to beat the big crowds at popular attractions. This tour is great because you get to visit must-see attractions and hidden gems.
I have to shoutout our guide, Ashleigh! She was absolutely amazing and brought awesome energy to the group. She went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. She made an already great trip even better.
