Highlights for me were:
1 Overnight camping at a beach in Port Barton where we had a band playing some amazing music, and it was just our group on the beach
2. Cultural day where we did coconut tree climbing and learnt a few traditions activities and dances
3. Beaches we visited on boat tours which were absolutely stunning
Only thing to improve would perhaps be accommodation at Port Barton where rooms were pretty small.

One of the highlights was the cultural day where Shenny and her family taught us local games, dances, cooking and handicrafts and we got to climb a coconut tree! 🌴
Our guide, Jet, was chill and made sure we felt like this was a holiday, and made it all work behind the scenes 👏🏻

The places we visited were absolutely beautiful—clear, white beaches, and unforgettable views. A highlight was definitely the island hopping and relaxing sunsets.

The 14 day tour was incredible. There is so much to do with the tour, but also there is ample time to do what you want at all the stops. The group was also fantastic. Dale was great about giving us a general idea of the day and then giving specific meeting times or recommendations in small chunks throughout. It is evident that he loves his job and cares about giving everyone the best experience possible. There were always multiple options and modifications available for the activities and locations. This was the first group trip I have taken and I was honestly surprised at how smoothly everything went and how seamless it seemed! I cannot wait to book another trip!

He's spontaneous and always tries to make the trip as memorable and enjoyable as possible for every single one! He goes above and beyond and definitely lifted the trip to new heights. The itinerary was awesome, included everything I wanted, though very strictly timed, he made sure to always let us have time to relax and breathe. Always sharing tips and tricks with us, making sure the moral stayed high and even cooked delicious food for us!

As a first time international traveler I was anxious about how to manage myself to have a full and meaningful time. This group did all the planning and scheduling and guided me along so I could experience as much of Japan as I could. This is a very fast passed tour that kept me moving from sun up till sun down, and although it was very tiring at times it was managed in a way that made sure I was as comfortable as possible and had as much free time as it could provide so I could have my own personal adventures in between official touring time.
My guide are some of the most interesting people I have met. George, Kassy, and Billy were completing their final training round of this tour and will disperse from here to guide others on their own adventures. They really outdid themselves to make sure everyone was included and never felt left behind. They were quick to address what little problems we had and made use feel like a big group of friend who have known each other forever. I learned a lot not only about the amazing histories of the sites we visited but also about their own journey’s adding an extra bit of wonder to the excitement of world travel.
The supervising lead guide, Dale, was a book of knowledge. We could as nearly anything about a detail of the things we saw and he would have an answer either right away or within minutes. He helped make every transition smooth and worked the streets like a local. I could ask him anything and he made sure everyone always had the information they needed to get around.
I would recommend One Life Adventures to anyone who is looking for an exciting and fulfilling time. I can’t wait for the next adventure!

The itinerary was packed with amazing sights and destinations, and with the help from our tour guides we avoided the crowds. Our guides Ashleigh and Dale were the best. Not only did they do an amazing job guiding us through Japan, but they also did an amazing job of making us all feel comfortable. They really tied us together as a group and not to mention made us laugh everyday, and I can now consider them as my friends. A special mention goes to our guide Ashleigh, who made the trip even more memorable. Always with a smile, she was incredibly sweet, approachable, and full of energy. She always had great recommendations. No matter the situation she was always prepared and handled everything with grace. Ashleigh made everyday feel fun and special.
Our other guide Dale was equally amazing. His positive energy was infectious, and always managed to brighten our days. Dale was sweet, fun and a joy to be around.
It was clear that both Ashleigh and Dale genuinely cared about our experience.

Particularly noteworthy are the positive group dynamics and the excellent tour guide by Dale, who convinced by his charm, humor, enthusiasm and commitment. I would take another trip with Dale at any time. He looks after everyone and provides numerous tips on leisure activities, restaurants and attractions for each location. The program is taut, but offers great fun and gives a comprehensive first impression of Japan.

Our guide dale was OUTSTANDING, his knowledge was 10/10 for history and food recommendations. I was super keen to collect Eki stamps and dale made sure to point me in the right direction. Dale was not short of fun facts and interesting jokes making the experience even more memorable!
Trip highlights for me were the shinjinku / Shibuya evening and the tea ceremony in our kimonos.

Out travel guide Dale made it an a star plus experience. He was so helpful, kind and caring, very knowlagable (took us to some great spots)and great fun. To add cherry on the cake he got me a little birthday gift, very very sweet. It was quite a fast paced trip and even with recommended 15kg luggage it was a bit tough on the old back but an excellent trip all the same and we had free time to rest or do our own thing.I love how we all connected as a group and I loved moments like playing board games and singing karaoke. I miss that in my life, I miss fun and connection with my friends. There were quieter reflective periods like the stay in the monastery which has taught me practices I hope to bring in my life to reduce stress and has inspired postive change in other relationships in my life. The Onsen was soo good. I wish we had that in the UK. I was so sad to say goodbye to everyone including Dale. We became like a little family at the end.

The tour itself encompassed so many things in the time that we had but still provided plenty of free time for you to explore the places that you wanted to go outside of the tour.
I would definitely consider doing a one life tour again and recommend the same to my friends and family.

Absolute highlight was the Kendo Workshop in Osaka, but honestly everyday was a highlight for us. The hotels / hostels were overall good. I would have appreciated a little bit more historical and cultural knowledge about Japan, but nevertheless would recommend this tour to anyone, who is interested in making the most out of the days. I'll leave some simple Pro-Con feedback for people that are just kind of reading the pdf description on the website. This is all just my personal pro con some may find my pros as cons and vice versa.
Pros -
-Very Budget Friendly
(Just based on the ticket costs I saw ect the price they charge for the trip is not marked up to much)
-The Trip gets you though major attractions in a smooth way and the guide facilities anything else your looking to do.
-Trip follows the rough schedule of the website description
-Trip was pretty manageable for anyone even in poor shape, guide makes sure to give enough to time to get from A to B without stress.
Tour guide directs you to good food options than are 1. Open and 2, pretty good.
-Cons
This trip is not great in it's basic provided format for couples that enjoy time together. You will be sleeping 6 of your nights in accommodations that you will be in a bed for a solo person and 3 of them in seprate rooms (possibly)
Personally I would prefer starting earlier and trying to end sooner in the evening, for a sight seeing tour an inordinate amount of time is spent on trying to make sure you have time to go out and drink at night.
Free time -
The basic problem with some of the free time is either A it's to short to accomplish much besides eat at a convenience station or a little food on a toothpick shop or bakery or you need to do stuff like laundry in some of these windows (it says pack light but you want 4 changes of cloths or your washer dryer is very painful)
You have 4 good afternoons of free time where you can plan some other day time activities, you will probably need to do laundry in 1 or 2 of these windows. Work with your guide to plan these out ahead of time cause it's very busy with tourist.
Food....
The tour did deliver on its meals as promised...but do not think your going to go sit and just catch a bowl of Ramen or whatever your looking for in your free time or on your own most meals. Most of your free time meals are to short so you will be looking at convicence store food options and the nights/afternoons you do have extra time you need to do two of these things. A - Find a place with open seting regardless of what it is and get it..B call ahead multiple days (before your trip if possible) to make reservations or in some locations you might get to que for a few hours. All of your hotels are in very touristy areas it's very crowded in and around where the tour stays.
I think the sum of my changes would be, plan a better trip for couple (it's really geared more for a "group trip" or solo trip). Plan food/other experiences out better ask more questions of the guide about timing for future planning far out.
This top part is really just to help anyone that looks at the sheet on the website cause the descriptions really lack detail and the devils in the detail for something your spending a good chunk of time and change on.
I think my only negative experience was our guide was doing some trainings for new guides and their were a couple instances where the "training" guide that is perma going to be on this trip ate some time and view points that I'll likely never get to see again and a few instances where solo travlers couldn't manage to not use double seats so couples always had to manage them in some cases of assigned seating rather than just pairing up with other solo travlers.
(This really falls into the bucket of maybe this isn't the best couples experience as a base trip)
I will still be giving this experience a 5 star rating, my negatives are mostly negatives from my point of view and most of them can easily solved by asking the guide to do something else and you can go off on your own (and he will help you) or paying for a new hotel ect I wanted a brain melt experience and wanted to put minamal effort into planning the vacation outside of my initial research.

Some tips:
-Do yourself a favour and get a backpack. I brought a carry on but even that was hard and annoying to drag around as there are a lot of stairs.
-Japan has everything in their convenient stores from socks to snacks and even sample size beauty products so no need to pack these.
-For those who are not morning people(like me), just heads up that you will be waking up early on most days.
Overall it was a great, once of a lifetime experience that I will recommend to anyone who wants to see the best of Japan.

Dale was fantastic with giving us as much information about Japan and the respective locations that we were visiting, whilst not overloading us, as well as being entertaining also.
With any queries that anybody would have. Dale was always more than happy to help us instantly, going above and beyond to ensure that we all had an incredible and smooth experience for our journey.
Dale would comfortably fit in as one of us throughout, evidently having the same level of enjoyment as all of us tourists, eager to assist us to create lifelong memories.
As previously mentioned, our tour was totally saved by Dale stepping in to take over, and I’m sure I can speak for all saying that he was exactly the fit that we were looking for from the beginning, with his knowledge, patience and humour.

This exceeded my high expectations of the trip well and truly. What went above and beyond was all of the extra information and fun facts that felt tailored to small parts of the group including myself who would enjoy that extra bits of detail. Above all of this he has continuously been kind, approachable, easy going and entertaining for the entirety of my time here. We have never had any trouble with navigating city to city and from landmark to landmark, which is incredibly commendable in such a confusing country like Japan. It has become obvious that there is a reason why he is the face of this country with One Life Adventures and he is more than deserving of that high title. He has set the precedent for a One Life tour, and solely down to him I wouldn’t hesitate to book with this company again.
Regarding the itinerary, which was known back to back by our tour guide, it seemed to hit a harmonious balance between bustling, jaw dropping cities and calm, but equally jaw dropping countrysides. This contrast has been so welcome as it has meant for constant changes of pace to accommodate being active and making the most of our time here, but also allowing for much needed rest so you are never too tired to not enjoy any of the activities. Personal highlights for me have been the sushi class with a masterful sushi chef who emphasised the skill needed to create these dishes, but also was patient enough to help with the class so everyone felt victorious. However the main highlight was the Kendo class. This being a One Life exclusive activity is a gold mine for the company as to be taught first hand ancient martial arts by a direct Samurai descendant is truly a once in a life experience. Regardless of your background, it is a must do activity and one of which I will personally look back on forever.
Commenting on the food and other activities outside of the tour, through ample suggestions given to us by the tour guide we have not struggled once to find quality food and activities in our downtime as Japan has such a wide range of fantastic cuisine. Doing a mix of group-led meals and our own choices was a perfect combination as it meant that you had all the options you’d want in each location to try out plenty of Japanese food.
I think it is clear from this review that I highly recommend this company and specifically this tour as it ticks all boxes, as you would expect with any tour group. However, what sets this one apart and exactly what I said earlier, the tour guide here has seriously gone above and beyond in every way possible and this is the standard of this company. One Life is truly one to book

The itinerary not only covers lots of the classic spots and sights, which is obviously something you'd want during your first time, but also adds super interesting activities like a sushi class, kendo class, buddhist meditation session and a tea ceremony which all let you get a small and fascinating glimpse into the Japanese world and mindset.
More than anything else however, the best thing was to explore Japan together with our group that consisted of many different nationalities and grew together quickly. I can't stress enough how great it's been to share every experience with these wonderful people!
Finally, the whole tour wouldn't have been as much fun without Dale, our tour guide, who has done an excellent job, being well organised and attentive around the clock. Always knew exactly what to do, where to lead us and when to beat the crowds. Personally, I loved his small, enthusiastic and hilarious speeches about the sights and Japan's history. Also, shoutout to Evie, the new onelife trainee, who is simply the loveliest and will make a wonderful tour guide! Only regret is wasting my free time between scheduled activities either catching up on sleep or needing to get back to the hotel to charge my phone. With an itinerary full of amazing activities you will feel a sense of rush and wishing you could have more time to slow down.
Tour guide was amazing and just beaming with passion. But importantly was the perfect and friendly social bridge one could have when talking to the locals. It makes me reflect on how important knowing the language myself would be if i was every to travel here on my own. You miss out on so many chance to connect with new people.
Downside was the unexpected weather that disrupted the tour mid way. Highly recommend keeping an eye on upcoming weather risks that could occur or you'll end up missing out on more what you paid for.
Regardless this has nothing against our guide. As a matter of fact he went above and beyond to make sure we all got the travel arrangements needed to get back on track in Kyoto. So if you have Andrew Corbin as a guide then know you are in safe and friendly hands

Arriving in Japan, Dale, our tour guide, directly made a good first impression which never faded in the two weeks. On the contrary, I grew to respect and like him even more in the following two weeks.
Dale was joined by Evie, an intern who was always full of energy and a joy to be around. She will become a truly great tour guide!
Under Dale and Evie, our travel group turned from strangers to a happy family which helped even more to create several very memorable moments.
The mix of sightseeing, classes in sushi making, Kendo and more, joint meals and free times was perfect. Everyone could create their best Japan experience and Dale was always there to give his best tips based on his large experience.
Even unfortunate weather situations, which could have downed the mood had a strongly decreased effect due to Dale, Evie and our family-like travel group they brought together so nicely.
It was my first multi day travel group experience, but I enjoyed it so much, I will absolutely do this again!

The itinerary covers lots of the classic spots and sights, which is obviously something you'd want during your first time, but also adds super fun and interesting activities like a sushi class, kendo class, buddhist meditation session and a tea ceremony which all let you get a fascinating glimpse into the Japanese world and mindset. More than anything else however, the best thing was to explore Japan together with our group that consisted of many different nationalities and grew together quickly. Finally, it has to be said that the whole tour wouldn't have been as much fun without Dale, our tour guide, who just did an excellent job, being well organised and attentive around the clock. Always knew exactly what to do, where to lead us, giving small, hilarious speeches about the sights and Japan's history. Also, shoutout to Evie, the new onelife trainee, who is just lovely and wonderful!

The tour guide, Dale, was excellent and made the whole experience so much more fun! He had an amazing way of sharing his knowledge and always icluding his personal touch/experience. I couldn't have asked for a better guide! The itinerary was also very good, allowing us to do and see a lot of interesting things. I made so many good memories thanks to Dale, the group, and the tour!
As a side note, I think that the overall organisation of the tour could be slightly improved. For instance, due to severe weather conditions, several trains were cancelled, and we missed our temple stay, which is, of course, understandable. However, the suggested alternative for that day was not all that good. An alternative could have been to spend one more day in Kyoto, for example.

He went above and beyond what a normal tour guide would do, was super friendly and loved to have a laugh with everyone. He made sure we got to where we needed to be and that we were all happy. Unfortunately on one of the days the weather forced us to cancel one of our destinations however Dale was quick to resolve the issue and provided an alternative accommodation and things to do during the day; which actually turned out to be very fun!

Japan is honestly one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited and so I would advise doing the 14 day tour to spend more time in Japan. In regards to our tour guide Dale, he was absolutely fantastic, I literally couldn’t fault him at all, he went above and beyond to help all of us, left no questions unanswered and had a brilliant sense of humour and so much passion towards the tour and Japan.

There was a lot of free time during the tour. Personally, I would have liked to have had a little less of it and spent an extra day in Osaka instead.
As this was my first tour with a tour guide, I have nothing to compare it to. I felt that I was in good hands with our tour guide. Dale helped us when we couldn't find places ourselves. He made sure we knew how to get there and how to get back.
I would definitely do this tour (9 days in Japan) again and can recommend it to others!

Dale was definitely world's best tour guide with a wealth of knowledge and a real passion for all things Japan - its culture and way of life. He really made the experience so unforgettable by being so friendly, approachable and dishing out some ripper jokes.
Accommodation in Tokyo could use some improvement however all other stops were perfect. Some of the dining included could have been more authentic but I did get to try some in my own time ?

As a solo traveler, exploring the beautiful country of Japan with a wonderful group of people made the experience even more memorable. This tour covered many must-see destinations as well as some hidden gems across Japan.
Our guide, Dale, did an excellent job of bringing everyone together and ensuring we all had a great time. The tour utilized public transport, and Dale's guidance made navigating Japan's public transport system easy, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment of our journey.
The itinerary had a good balance between organized activities and free time, giving us plenty of opportunities to explore Japan at our own pace. I highly recommend the optional extras, such as the Mario Kart experience and sushi-making class, as they were definite highlights of the trip.
This tour was the perfect introduction to group travel for me. I'm already planning my next adventure. If you have the opportunity to travel with One Life Adventures, I highly recommend it! I'm sure you won't regret it.

For the last 4 days, we had Holly, who (again) was kind and professional. If I had one criticism for the tour, it was the change in guides on day 10. We essentially lost half of our group after the 10 day tour concluded, then we also lost our guide who we grew to trust and appreciate. Our second guide did her job well, but it was hard to build the group dynamics back for the last 4 days. Overall, couldn’t recommend enough. It was an excellent introduction to the main cities of Japan.

We had a flexible amount of free time to be able to explore on our own as well. I would highly recommend adding some of the additional activities, especially the go-karting through the streets of Tokyo, and the boat ride down Katsura river - they were some of the best experiences I had for sure.

The group size is great to find new friends and travelmates. With this size, it is kind of easy to know everyone, but if you don't get along with somebody you can easily just talk to other people. Especially in Japan, where restaurants are smaller, you need to split up into smaller groups. (The tour includes same days where bigger restaurants are organized to have dinner together)
The guide was really nice and knows how to get around in Japan. He recommends lots of stuff and generally knows where to get stuff if it is more of a specialty. He was not Japanese, you knows enough japanese, but if you want to learn the japanese language, he might not be the best partner, because English is just way easier.

I have had the best experience, seen so many amazing things, and met a bunch of lovely human beings who added to my overall experience. My tour guide Dale is a one in a million human being. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he is patient, kind and supportive. I suffered from chronic jet lag and insomnia, a first for me, and by day 4 of the tour I’d had ten hours sleep in total, and had an emotional meltdown. Dale couldn’t have been more supportive, and I will forever be grateful for the time he gave me at 2am sitting and chatting with me until I calmed enough to finally sleep.
I will hold this tour in my heart forever ?

Our adventure was guided by Dale and Sarah, whose expertise and passion for Japan shined through during our tour. Dale our main guide, was a great source of knowledge, willing to assist with any question the group had. His adeptness at navigating the challenges posed by less-than-ideal weather conditions, coupled with his remarkable flexibility, ensured that our experience was not just preserved but enriched. He frequently consulted with the group, gauging our preferences on whether to tweak our itinerary to better suit the weather and our collective mood. This level of attentiveness and care from our guides significantly enhanced our experience.
In Tokyo, we wandered through the vibrant streets of Harajuku and Akihabara, took in the nighttime beauty of Senso-ji Temple, crossed the bustling Shibuya crossing, and dined in the atmospheric Omoide Yokocho alley. Each of these experiences offered a unique perspective on Tokyo's multifaceted character.
Our adventure took a serene turn in Hakone, where we stayed in more of a traditional styled accommodation. We marvelled at the breathtaking views over Owakudani's sulfur fields during the day and bonded over a "tour family" dinner in the evening.
In Kyoto, the early mornings paid off as we avoided the crowds at Fushimi-Inari Shrine, wandered through the enchanting Bamboo Forest, and visited Monkey Mountain. These experiences were not just about seeing the sights but feeling the profound spiritual and natural beauty of Japan.
The structure of the tour, with its balanced mix of guided sightseeing and ample free time, was particularly commendable. It catered to the diverse interests within our group, from those drawn to Japan's rich cultural heritage to the enthusiasts of its anime and gaming culture. This flexibility allowed us to forge bonds with fellow travellers over shared interests, yet also pursue our personal explorations, making the trip uniquely satisfying for each of us. Another aspect I loved about this trip was that we used local trains to get around rather than a tour bus, this allowed us to be fully immersed in our travels around Japan.

This was my first ever solo trip and despite some initial anxieties prior to the trip Dale and Sarah made me feel at ease right away.
The tour had a great mix of modern areas of Japan along with traditional and rural areas of Japan. With Japan being such a huge country, it is an active trip and you will do at least 20k steps a day and many early starts to squeeze everything in, so be mindful of this.
Check the weather before you go, I went during the spring season and the weather varied a lot!! Waterproof shoes and jacket are essential for this trip.
Dale was super approachable knowledgable, friendly and inclusive of everyone for all activities. I felt safe at all times and Dale ensured all were safe and frequently gave great recommendations. Nice balance of free time throughout the week. I felt both guides were extremely respectful toward the people of Japan and kept the group well informed of cultural norms and information.

Our guide, Dale, was incredible. He looked after us like we were his own (slightly mischievous) kids, making sure everyone felt included and had a blast.
A heads-up on the weather - it can be tricky, so pack waterproof clothes and shoes. Actually, bring two pairs of shoes; you'll thank yourself later. And go light on the luggage; a backpack and a gym bag are all you need, since there's quite a bit of moving around.
The tour's structured so you have free time to explore on your own. Definitely list out things you want to see or do in each city that aren't covered by the tour.
Overall, it's a fantastic trip, perfect for anyone wanting to see a lot of Japan in a short time. Would totally recommend!!

I had a lot of fun with the group and everyone was so friendly. The tour has a good balance between the group activities and free time so we had time to see temples, places and etc. on our own (or with new friends).
Our guide, Dale, did an amazing job. He was very nice and helpful with everything. And he was happy to look stuff up and come with recommendations for stuff to do on our free time. The same with our ‘honorary’ guide, Sarah, was also so nice and helpful.
I brought a suitcase on the trip which was doable but keep in mind that you need to be able to carry it up and down stairs here and there.

I travelled with a suitcase and didn’t have any issues, but please don’t overpack as you will be shopping. You will need to be able to carry it up stairs and lift it over your head. He also put a real focus on respect for the culture, so as tourists we could be as responsible as possible, which was a wonderful and very important touch. Sarah was also a lovely help, and very informed on all the little tidbits of history and culture :) Having never travelled before, I wasn't sure about the hostel accomodation but I quickly settled into it and all the hostels were clean and comfortable. The itinerary was excellent, giving us an amazing variety of things to explore, and the substantial amounts for free time meant that we could also seek out our own dream locations and activities. We walked lots, so bear that in mind when packing (as many pairs of comfy, reliable shoes as you can possibly fit). The most incredible way to discover a new place, I spent every second marvelling at the beauty of this gorgeous country, I couldn't recommend it more.

It was well balanced with both free time and planned experiences including a mix of city tours, food tasting experiences and nature walks.
The tour is fast paced and includes commuting by train from city to city. Most stations require you to lift your bag up and down stairs so try to pack light. There is lots of walking as well, so wear comfortable shoes.
Our tour guide, Dale, did such an amazing job keeping everyone engaged and making sure we all felt included and comfortable. He really went above and beyond to ensure we all were enjoying ourselves.

The style of the tour guide was very laid back in a way that made travelling with them comfortable and friendly, but still making sure that all given times for travel and exploration were adhered to in order to make the trip seamless and stress free.

He set a great standard of what the trip would be like). There is a million and one things to do in Tokyo so if you can I would suggest coming a few days before the tour starts to tick anything off the tour doesn’t cover. Pack light and pack good walking shoes because you will be smashing way past the 10,000 steps a day average.

Our guide Dale was brilliant - super friendly, helpful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable - educating us not only on the food element but about Japan in general. He took us around 3 different markets. We had a perfect mix of picking / tasting different foods at the market stands but then also a few chances to sit down in the café areas and enjoy larger tasting dishes. Anything listed on the tour was done. Thank you One life experience for making a must do became truth. I am looking forward for this coming spring and go back.

I would recommend this tour to everyone, however it is a lot of walking, we were averaging around 15,000 steps a day.

We managed to pack so much into the two weeks and saw everything I wanted to see and more, covering a huge range from big cities, temples, scenery and experiences! The days were pretty full on, with early mornings and late nights, but I think there was the perfect amount of free time and planned activities. I would suggest going on the tour if you are fit and can handle walking 20k steps a day :) Our guide Dale (for the first 10 days) was extremely charismatic and funny, he had a huge amount of information about all of the places we visited, and was extremely enthusiastic! Holly was our tour guide for the last 4 days and she was extremely sweet, chilled out and approachable. They were both absolutely amazing. Overall would highly recommend One Life and cant wait to book my next tour with them! Thank you Dale, Holly and the ONE LIFE TEAM!

The tour is extremely well put together, there are plenty of fun activities mixed with amazing cultural experiences such as visiting a sushi course and a kendo lesson, visiting the beautiful Kyoto with the geisha district and played games at the arcade in Tokyo. Our tour guide Dale was the secret star of the tour. He was fantastic from minute one, going over and above to accommodate us. He has such a great knowledge of Japan which is rich on history and culture. I had a lot of fun and am glad I booked the trip.

There are alot of steps up and down in the subways so be prepared to walk a lot and pack two pairs of walking shoes. Dale made each place we visited fun and interesting. We would not have been able to have such a varied program if we didn’t join a tour such as this one.
Dale Cline was our tour guide. It was the first time for him that he was in charge of the tour. He did a wonderful job. He spent the extra effort to send reminders, very nice tips for in the free time and was also joining when going to the bar. This had a very positive effect on the vibe in the group.
It was a bit strange that after 10 days half of the group left the tour as they had booked the 10 day tour. Also a pity is that we had to say goodbye to Dale and got a different guide for the remaining days.

Whilst this maybe considered a budget tour, the sights covered and the included activities certainly did not make it feel like one. The sushi making class and Kendo class were my favourite!
The difference between a good tour and a great tour is the tour guide. Tour guide Dale certainly made it a great one! He personally made an effort to get to know each one of us and created a great family environment amongst travellers. Whilst it was only his second tour his passion for Japanese culture and knowledge on the country really shone through!
Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone considering!
