This was my first trutravels tour and my first time travelling solo, Richard made it so easy. Richard was an amazing tour guide, nothing was too much for him. The whole thing from start to finish was just perfect.

From start to finish Rich was extremely organised, helpful and became a friend to everyone on the tour (which is impressive when you have a range of personalities in the group). Having previously experienced a not so great tour leader with a different company, Rich was a breath of fresh air and is truly great at his job. In regards to the tour itself, it’s jam packed full of great activities, my personal favourite was the canyoneering in Moalboal. The tour was completely stress free thanks to Rich and I made friends for life. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it, and really can’t fault anything! Thank you :)

Bit beforehand was really good. Setting up a Spotify for the tour was great as well as it has made all the journeys and trips more enjoyable and including everyone’s music tastes. He has answered any questions or queries that we have had and has always gone out of his way to make sure that we have had as good a trip as possible. Richard has been very professional and was extremely organised making sure that we had all the information for the next day with plenty of time and making sure that we had all our dinners sorted in enough time. He has been very approachable and has made individual efforts with all on the tour to make sure everyone has enjoyed their time. If a small group wanted to go and do something that wasn’t part of the tour he would help us find the right place or give us great suggestions of where to go. I would like to personally thank Richard for making my first group tour a pleasure.

The activities included were amazing, it was a great balance of active and relaxation, all while being able to take in the culture & wonderful nature of the Philippines! There were so many activities included that I wouldn’t have even thought about doing myself - such as Castaway! Rich was 10/10 throughout the whole tour and was always there to help if anyone ever needed anything as well as just being really great company, more of a mate than a guide! I had a seriously good time, and would recommend this tour to anyone! :)

We were a little nervous meeting the group initially but Richard made us feel very welcome. He set up the group chat in advance allowing us to chat and introduce ourselves - he even suggested creating a playlist. Richard was super fun, yet very calm and organised. He really allowed us to make the most of our trip. Richard made a great effort with everyone in the group and helped everyone to feel included. He’s helped members of the group through rough patches, even providing first aid and remained extremely professional throughout. His knowledge about the areas is brilliant - he really is a good tour guide. I will miss his light hearted humour, organisational skills and interesting dancing style! I cannot wait to book my next trip, hopefully with Richard leading it!

He answered all queries before arriving and instantly bonded the group together from the first night. I arrived a day early and he took the time to send across recommendations and take us to a dinner spot before the rest of the group arrived. He went above and beyond throughout and handled every situation as it came to him calmly. The tour guide always structures the group and because of Richards nature and passion for the Philippines and his job, the whole trip was perfect!

He herds cats like a pro! He kept track of everyone, and did his best to manage a hugely diverse set of expectations, needs, dietary and activity levels. He was also beyond responsive to any question I asked, and I know he was getting hit from all sides. What really impressed me is how he figured me out (almost 20Ys older than the next oldest, & really worked to help me have a really great time. I’m not a big partier - those days are long gone but I’m also really really active, and once I got the lay of the land Filipino style - which is sooooo different than the many other countries I’ve traveled to (this was my 92nd), it went really smoothly. I would recommend a better hotel in Cebu City, but the other two - Loves Beach & Dive and then the Altabriza were perfect in terms of giving you a true taste of the variety of cultures, places & experiences here in the PI. This was my third tour on a seven week Asian adventure trip. I was a little concerned at first with how it would work with so many people and with my being old enough to be everyone’s mother. In the end, Rich made it awesome & truly unforgettable. Thank you

Communication in the WhatsApp group was clear and detailed so we knew what we were doing each day. Rich was extremely generous in sharing his knowledge of the Philippines. I have a week solo travelling and Rich gave me lots of recommendations and travel advice which was really useful. Rich was a big part of the fun that we had in our group and is always up for a good time.

The sardine run was amazing to see and if you can afford to add scuba diving to the afternoon I highly recommend, that was probably one of the best dives I have ever had. Every beach we went to was beautiful and there were some amazing sunrises and sunsets. I cannot tell you enough good things about this trip. Our tour guide was not the best I have ever had but he was able to get us to each location safely, only reason why the trip has a 4 star rating.
