Iggie was the perfect guide. A native Icelander, he knew the history of everything, and his background of medieval literature enabled him to fill us in everything ancient and modern. A native Icelander, he knew the history of everything, and his background of medieval literature enabled him to fill us in everything ancient and modern. He explained some Icelandic sagas. The mind-boggling fact that Iceland has more than 1,000 named waterfalls stuck with me I loved the many waterfalls, varying landscapes, mountains, fjords, glaciers along with cattle, sheep and Icelandic horses. One of the most impressive sights was that of the visible rift between the separating North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Fall colors were muted but beautiful.

Itinerary was great. Accommodation was different and awesome locations. Good driver but a stretch to say a guide as well. Some directions were not well articulated but he kept us all on time. Bumpy start as he refused the offered paperwork on pickup saying not our bus and left, then had to return for us.
This tour gave us everything we wanted in terms of seeing this stunning land.

We luckily had Biggi for 6 days tour guide and driving. He done an excellent job and was very thoughtful.

Really fun adventure with an absolutely awesome tourguide (biggi).
We had the most fabulous adventre. Our guide, Biggi, was so well-informed, unflappable and helpful. We left Reykjavik in sunshine and it followed us all the way around the golden circle and we saw som…We had the most fabulous adventre. Our guide, Biggi, was so well-informed, unflappable and helpful. We left Reykjavik in sunshine and it followed us all the way around the golden circle and we saw some fabulous sights. That night there was a huge storm . The hotel where we were staying had lost power and the roads were impassable, but the staff still managed somehow to give us breakfast and we stayed warm until a local farmer dug us out and off we went to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach....breathtaking! Power back on... The plans chopped and changed the following day due to the unpredictable weather but Biggi was completely unperturbed and kep us informed and got us on the glacier hike and to see the ice caves. First class trip and opened our eyes to the wonders of Iceland. Some long journeys on quite snowy roads, but worth it. We're coming back. Acrtic adventures really well organised.
