One life adventures really do think of everything. This tour taught me so much about the locals and beautiful Sri Lankan cuisines, and the most spectacular scenery. I enjoyed it so much I’ve booked the Philippines tour in January.

This tour is absolutely brilliant! It’s a very full on tour with lots of early mornings, long days and a fair few hours travelling around but it’s worth every early alarm! We had Alice as our one life guide and had Rhias as our local guide and they really were brilliant! Alice was so approachable and came up with some great bus activities to make the journeys go by quickly and also to help the group to get to know each other. She also mixed so well with the group and was honestly one of us! She’s doing such a brilliant job and is such an asset to the company!
Rhias was beyond incredible, I’ve honestly never come across service as amazing as his! He’s honestly one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met and any question he didn’t know he would be sure to find it out and let you know ASAP! His passion for his job and country is so inspiring and I can honestly say our trip wouldn’t have been the same without him and of course without his amazing team on the bus from Bobby and Morgan.

Both of them did an awesome job. Alice never tired of explaining repeatedly our plan for the next day. She was always open and patient with all of us, even when we complained. Rhias was like a walking lexicon – it didn’t matter what we asked and when we asked. He almost had an answer for everything and I highly appreciated the fact that he always tried to find an answer for us even if he had to look it up and/or ask other colleagues. He didn’t only provide us with facts about temples, cities, animals, Sri Lanka, culture, religions aso. he also shared his personal experiences and was open to any discussion. He and Alice were always trying to solve all emerging problems. They were outstanding as guides and also as human beings. They worked well together – we could see that they were a team – Rhias, Bobby and Morgan are friends despite their different religions and beliefs, which is inspiring.
The overall rating is 5 out of 5 stars.
Bobby & Morgan
The drivers were awesome and one highlight of my trip. They were always friendly and we received each day a flower from them. They were very kind and helpful. I also learned some Singhale from them. We had so much fun together and they were worried and took care of one group member in case of an injury. They stopped on the road to get us some boiled peanuts and had always water on the bus. I highly recommend keep working with especially these two guys.

I booked a night before on the advice of tour radar of the start hotel, which then changed which wasn’t ideal! So just hold on booking that until you get confirmation.
Alice and Riaz were our tour guides and were brilliant. Couldn’t fault them at all. Alice is so organised and tries to accommodate everyone best she can.
As were Morgan and Bobby. All a credit to the company.
They got us were we needed to be and really looked after us.
Morgan would proper look after us make sure we was safe crossing the road etc. Even though he doesn’t speak English he is always smiling and give us flowers for our hair with bobby every morning. Give the man a pay rise!
I paid for single supplement (about £340) which was a bit steep but was happy a long as I got my own space I didn’t mind. On looking afterwards realised if you go with a friend then it’s half the price of that between you. Which doesn’t make sense. Maybe this could be looked at . hostel was shared bathroom within a dorm of men which wasn’t ideal. But hostel was fine and clean. As were most accommodations were clean and nice in nice settings.
Last hotel in Marissa was in a lovely location right on the beach. However rooms were dated doors leading to outside were not secure and loose . Also the room felt damp which is a shame.
We were taken to some places to eat which we had to pay which is fine but they were not our choice and time we wanted to eat. Maybe they should be included in price if they are not optional and in some places no other options if you don’t want to eat a Sri Lankan buffet. I’m not normally a fussy eater but when it comes to food hygiene I am food was often in pots luke warm but this is just a Sri Lankan thing I think! just be prepared! . However once you get down the coast it improves!
Overall I would definitely recommend this tour and company to anyone thinking about doing it. Sri Lanka is such a special place and the guides really are great! Great value for money apart from the supplement inequality! Thanks for a great tour guys!

During the tour I really enjoyed the hikes however, I wasn’t a massive fan of the cooking class as the instructor kept disappearing. One suggestion for the tour would be to be able to choose your roommate yourself instead of this being predetermined before you arrive.

I was a bit reluctant to do a group tour, but from day 1 I knew I had made the right decision to do this Sri Lanka tour. Alice, Rihas, bobby and Morgan make a perfect team. Alice, Rihas, bobby and Morgan make a perfect team. Alice is super kind and caring and was always there to help with any problems that came up. Rihas is so so knowledgable and even the most random questions I had he always had the answer to, or if not he would find out and tell me later. Bobby and Morgan always went out of the way to make this tour even better, my favourite being the flowers they gave us each morning. The group had lots of different needs/wants but the team always seemed to match everyone's wants.
The actual tour was great. Before starting I was worried the tour would be quite rushed, and while most days were packed with activities, there was also a good amount of time to rest and do your own exploring. The accomodation was way better then I expected, and even the hostels we stayed in were far better then any hostels I've stayed in before.
Would I recommend this tour? Of course! If I could give more then 5 stars I would..

The One Life partnerships with suppliers in Port Barton and El Nido made the trip so incredibly inspiring. The ethical travel ethos is engrained into the tour and guide so deep that you actually leave feeling like the tour is helping accomplish things in Palawan... which it is!
Our Guide Alice was just amazing, she has this natural confidence that reassured us throughout the whole tour, but she is so friendly and down to watch she is easily one of the most approachable guides I have experienced.

The places we visited were all stunning, and there was such a good balance of relaxing activities with more energetic ones. There was also a great balance of local food with other food, and a lot more included meals than I would have expected for the price. Compared to other tours I’ve been on, it was amazing to find that all but one of the activities were included in the price - this makes it so much more affordable, and the tour really was worth every cent. I love what the company stands for in terms of sustainability and environmental consciousness, and the fact that they actually make an effort to invest in local businesses in the country so that the locals are likely to benefit at least a little from One Life being there. Finally, our guide was Alice and she was perfect. She really made the tour what it was, and was so chilled but also so organised - which was exactly what we all needed. Her passion, enthusiasm and love for both the country and for the One Life company were clear, and she genuinely cared about each and every one of us having an amazing experience and loving the country and tour as much as she does. I loved how close she was with all of the local guides and workers, and how much respect she showed for everyone we met along the way. She really made us feel connected with the country and with One Life. Would definitely travel with this company again :)

It was an amazing holiday! Weather didn’t go our way for a part of the tour but our guide Alice organised amazing activities!

What a fantastic tour in this paradise. Port Barton was a tranquil town, it turns into a great night gathering. I am a solo traveler and this tour has exactly what you need to be doing in these areas.…What a fantastic tour in this paradise. Traveling alone to do these activities will not be as fun as having an international group of friends with you for the complete trip.
Alice excelled at adjusting the itinerary when we faced bad weather, and added few games to enjoy our time.

All in all I would say this tour is average. I had high expectations after watching the well presented and very deceiving video that sells this tour on YouTube. In fact, some of the video is actually …All in all I would say this tour is average. I had high expectations after watching the well presented and very deceiving video that sells this tour on YouTube. In fact, some of the video is actually filmed in a nice resort called Cadlao Resort in El nido and not even on the tour! (I know this because I stayed there for a few days after the tour ended.) So I can’t help but feel like in some ways we were sold a dream which was far from reality, comparable to the Fyre festival documentary if anyone’s seen it on Netflix.
I feel like going to Manila was a waste of time. We had to be up at around 4am after not getting hardly a wink of sleep due to a Halloween party (no ones fault but still not a good start) to then fly to Puerta Princessa where there is nothing to do except go to a prison to have a look at prisoners as if they’re animals at a zoo. I was with a majority group of females who I felt were being completely gawked at and as we walked by the maximum security section, the prisoners were looking through the gates saying things and giggling in their language. (I could only imagine what a bunch of bad dudes would be saying as a group of good looking young females walk past.) I wonder why this wasn’t featured on the glamorous YouTube vid?
Anyway, by this stage of the trip my partner and I were seriously considering bailing on the tour and flying to a different country because at this point we were not even anywhere close to what I would consider a tropical island holiday but we stuck in there because the people on the tour and our tour guide Alice were really awesome people.
We spent most of the next day travelling to Port Barton and when we arrived I must say I really loved it there. It finally felt like like a tropical holiday that was promised. Port Barton is a cool laid back little town with dirt roads, friendly people, nice restaurants, beautiful scenery and great vibes. In my honest opinion, the tour should start in Puerta Princessa and head straight to port barton. I really loved island hopping and camping on the island it was pretty epic. We split the group up and played competitive games which was actually hilarious. I thought Alice did really well with getting everyone involved.
We finished up our last few days in El Nido where unfortunately we were hit with a typhoon which killed most of the activities I was most looking forward to. Thankfully Alice improvised and made lemonade out of the lemons that were handed to us. If it wasn’t for her we would have been in our hostel rooms doing absolutely nothing.
On the day of the Phillipines experience we trekked through the jungle in torrential rain, slipping over in mud for almost an hour due to the conditions and by the time we got there I found it hard to pull myself out of a bad mood.
Never got to do the El Nido island hop on the tour but thankfully I stayed a few days extra and was able to go. However, a lot of people on my tour did not.
All in all was unfortunate with the weather which is out of anyone’s control so choose your time of year carefully.
Furthermore I would like to add I noticed the tour guides don’t get private rooms for the whole tour and yet they have to stay positive, energetic and run a tour of potentially 20+ people for 10 days at a time. I don’t think this is acceptable and you should look after the people who run your business from the ground much better than that.

Day 1 and 2 are a waste of time. To fly in to Manila day 1 and then wake up at the crack of dawn on day 2 to spend the whole day travelling is not enjoyable. Spending a night in Puerto Princesa is also pointless as there is nothing to do there.
Loved Port Barton and the island tours! It would have been great to get there faster and spend more time there rather hanging round in Manila and Puerto Princesa.
In El Nido the weather was horrid (a typhoon hit) so a lot of our activities including island hoping was cancelled. Alice did her absolute best to ensure our day was rearranged and we had activities to do. She did a great job!
I also wanted to give some feedback about the visit to the prison. I felt very uncomfortable walking through there and having all the men gawk at us. We are going somewhere to ‘look’ at people as if they are a sight to see? Hearing their stories was also very depressing and upsetting when we are supposed to be on an upbeat on a holiday.
I noticed that the guides do not get their own room. I feel that someone responsible for potentially 22 people should have their own space of an evening to relax and have a good rest so they are energised the next day. Plus, everyone needs their own space at some point. Just a side note but thought I would feed back.
Absolutely love what you guys do by supporting the locals and giving back to the community.

For transportation, the tricycles are not safe/ meant to carry a lot of weight and I would have preferred the group to even travel in the Jeepy’s the whole time. The food was amazing and the best part of the trip, even my dietary requirements we’re accommodated for. Alice went the extra mile and ordered a surprise cake for a birthday on tour.
However, it was really disappointing to travel so far and miss the el Nido island hopping which I was most excited for. Alice did her best to keep the group entertained despite the overall disappointed mood of the group. The one thing I wish went differently was The Philippine Experience as the group was not properly warned of how muddy and difficult the trail would be to walk which ultimately ruined the time spent there. I felt the experience was not worth the 1 hour journey in the tricycle during a downpour (which I felt was super dangerous) and trek through mud/rain. Although out of control, the weather had a huge factor in how the trip went.

We were unfortunate on tour to have a tropical storm hit which had an impact on our itinerary. However, our guide Alice did a fantastic job to try and provide us with as many inclusions as possible and she was very positive and energetic throughout despite the difficult circumstances of unpredictable weather.

I cannot praise the Port Barton experience enough, it was undoubtedly my favourite part of the trip. The beach front accommodation, the beach, the restaurants/bars, and especially the boat trip and island stay was an incredible experience. The turtle snorkelling and starfish island visit were highlights too. Alice incorporated fun activities into the trip also.
I do feel that the itinerary could begin in Puerto Princessa and travel could begin immediately via underwater caves to Port Barton. I think the stay in Manila and Puerto Princessa is a bit of a waste of time as there is not much else there to see. I can’t really comment on the El Nido itinerary as unfortunately we were unable to do a lot of it due to the bad weather. I did enjoy the massage and the Filipino experience despite the horrendous muddy walk there in there in the rain.

Alice our guide was amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable about each place we went to. Alice had such a good relationship with all of the locals in the places we went to which made the experience even better.
Something I was really impressed with about the tour overall was how committed the company is to sustainable tourism. Taking us to great little local places and supporting local businesses, as well as being environmentally sustainable and plastic free. The company has so much respect from the locals which is really nice to see.
The attitudes and experience I had on this trip has definitely made me interested in trying One Life tours in other countries. I had such an incredible time and would definitely recommend One Life to anyone interested in the Phillipines.

This was my first time travelling solo and I was quite nervous but from the second I enquired about the tour Wes put me at ease and gave me as much information as I needed! He made it so easy to book the trip and plan my days before and after the trip also. The tour itself was amazing....it was 10 days but we packed in sooooo much in that time and truly did tick everything off with Bali bucket list! My favourite day was definitely swimming with the turtles....I can only describe it as the stuff dreams are made of! Doing this tour made me do so much more than I would have done on my own and it was easy as everything was organised from the accommodation to travel to restaurants, which were all fantastic. My tour guide Alice was bloody brilliant....I was probably the most apprehensive in my group when it came to certain activities but she was always so patient and kind with me. She was such a great leader and now a good friend too. As a solo traveller being a small group of 10 was great as well, as we all got to know each other fairly well and now I have a whole new group of friends who I miss already! Alice our tour guide was so helpful throughout the 10 days and even after whilst we continued our holiday in Bali! She always made sure everyone was ok and happy and knew all the answers to any questions! We were able to just relax because we knew Alice would always have everything organised.

This is the first time I travelled in a small group and I really enjoyed it, everyone becomes such good friends as you are all having the same fantastic experiences. I cannot recommend this tour enough to anyone thinking of travelling to Bali, either alone or as a couple/group of friends! The accommodation exceeded my expectations with access to swimming pools, aircon and the very reasonable supplement to have my own private room throughout the tour! The tour is extremely good value for money and takes away all the stress of sorting transfers and excursions. Highlights were the beautiful sunrise from the top of Mount Batur and snorkelling at arms length from both turtles and manta rays. Alice was absolutely fantastic and made sure to bring the group together and ensure we all got rest when needed and organised great places to eat/beach clubs to chill out in when we’d had a busy morning. She was knowledgable at all the spots we visited and knew many of the locals to help get us good deals or extras like massages. By the end we all saw her as more of a friend! Overall the trip has gone above and beyond what I had hoped for and it’s just a shame it doesn’t last longer! It makes the perfect launchpad if you plan to spend further time exploring other parts of Bali or South East Asia at your own pace and now they have the Komodo & Flores tour that I am very interested in doing! There is no way I could have organised to see and do the amount I have done in 10 days and my friends and family are already asking where they can book as my Instagram is on fire!

My husband and I came as part of our honeymoon and we were greeted with a special congratulations at the beginning of our tour! I also had my birthday during the tour and Alice organised another surprise for me which was just so lovely and thoughtful! The group started as strangers and we have left as friends.
We loved the itinerary and leaving early in the mornings enabled us to get to the sights before all of the other tourists rolled in so our enjoyment of the sights was definitely increased by being the first on the scene!
The only thing we would have changed about the tour was the accommodation on gilli t, however We were lucky enough to have had a hotel upgrade in ubud which was so so amazing and we were so lucky to have received that!
Our favourite parts of the trip were definitely all of the water activities in the stunning islands off of Bali. The water clarity blew me away and the marine life is exceptional! Thanks for an amazing tour, I would definitely recommend to any friends or family that are making their way to Bali.

Highlights of the tour for me would definitely have to be surfing in Canggu (didn't think I would enjoy it- but so glad I did because it was SO FUN!) and definitely Gili T! With no motor vehicles allowed on the island, by bicycle you can go around the whole island in just over 30 mins, the vibe is so chilled and the sunsets are unreal! If island life is your thing, Gili T is the place to be 😍
The accommodation throughout this tour are so good and have everything you need (pool, WiFi, a/c) not to mention the Balinese hospitality is second to none!
This was my second tour with One Life and I would not hesitate to book again and again!

My highlights were undoubtedly the elephant safari (not the optional one) and the hikes to Pidurangala and Sigiriya. Such scenic landscapes.

This trip has been my favourite for travel destination and tour, Sri Lanka was just amazing! From taking part in a cooking class and eating rice and curry with my hands the Sri Lankan way, to watching the sunset with my tour group from Pidurangala Rock, to learning the history in temples and visiting the tsunami museum and memorial. Plus the wonderful people Alice, Rihas, Bobby, Morgan and my group for that I was lucky enough to call my family whilst I was away really helped make it even more than I ever expected. This trip really opened my eyes to so much and I can’t wait to go back!!

The national park elephant safari was amazing! We were very close to elephants without feeling like we were bothering them. Gorgeous setting and lots of other wildlife too.

Can’t think of a favourite part of the trip, it was all great! The accommodation was way better than I had expected (although I did get a private room). Alice and Rhias were brilliant and of course Bobby and Morgan. They were a great team, couldn’t do enough for us. The tour wouldn’t have been half as good without the hard work from Alice and Rhias. Thank you so much x

This tour was brilliant, it had an excellent balance between the cultural aspects of Sri Lanka and the nature elements. I have so many highlights from the tour but my particular favourites were seeing the elephants when on safari, visiting the Buddha in Kandy as it was so peaceful, seeing the stunning scenery on the hikes and learning all about Sri Lanka’s culture and history. I would like to mention the guide team as a highlight. Alice was a brilliant tour guide, she was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She communicated plans perfectly and set expectations well in relation to activities, for example how the whale watching could be a very long day. I’m so grateful to have had her for a guide. Rihas was the perfect local guide. His knowledge and love for his country was astounding and his willingness to talk and answer my many questions was brilliant. He enhanced my experience 100% and I really believe the tour wouldn’t have been the same without him. I would also like to thank Bobby and Morgan as our driver and drivers assistant as they were brilliant. Not only were the nicest and welcoming people but they also went above and beyond for us, even getting us flowers every moment. The bus was always immaculate and the driving was comfortable. They were also funny and wonderful company.

Our Tour Guide Alice & her team of local experts from Sri Lanka only added to how special this tour was. Extremely knowledgable, considerate and genuine - ready to help both guests and locals at the drop of a hat and literally some days went totally out of their way to make each guest as comfortable and as happy as they could.
Our group quickly bonded and got to experience all of the magic Sri Lanka has to offer and the selection of activities, accomodation were incredible. Clearly passionate about ethical travel, giving back to the communities and the environment at every possible term. I would heavily recommend anyone considering this country to book through OneLife.
Rihas and his team (Bobby and Morgan) were a very special treat for us and the group. Greeted everyone with a smile every single time and along with Alice managed to teach us all many things daily - great team and obviously super passionate about what they do and making the group a family. Rihas and Alice's combined knowledge, composure & attention to detail had us all at ease and made us feel in safe hands.
Personal highlights were Sigiriya, Pidirangula & the Safari/Whale Watching. Also big shout out to all of the suppliers and hotel staff along the way...had an amazing time at Shal's cooking class.
The Sri Lankan food was delicious and the people were also incredible!
