Often going out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. Their knowledge about the country was in depth, educational and entertaining.
I honestly didn't want this tour to end and I'm already planning my next one with Haggis Adventures.

The Itinerary was brilliant you could go off and do your own things for a few hours easily every day or just join in the many group activities Charlie would arrange. I would also say that as a nervous passenger normally he was a very competent and professional driver even on the narrow highland road I felt safe all the time, great bloke and great trip with Haggis, Steve

In true Scotsman spirit he shared plenty of Scottish history (heaps there for Braveheart and Outlander fans!), showed us some incredible sights across the country and gave plenty of laughs.
He kept the group entertained with a gem of a playlist (classic 1980s hits!) and was always up for a chat and banter at the end of the day!

I don't know if all of the Haggis tour guides are that fun, but I know I was talking to someone in Portree who was on a tour with another company and I asked if their tour guide was funny and they looked confused by the question. She said hers tried making a couple of cheesy jokes along the way but I could tell right then and there that I had gotten super lucky with the bus I was on. It was so laid back and fun and filled with lots of laughs. Loved it. The Highlands and the hikes were amazing too but I kind of expected them to be, but what I didn't expect to be that fun was the bus ride, and the times just hanging out with the group. 5/5 Drams! Thanks again!

As for the trip itself - definitely worth to select at least 5days tour to see bits of Scotland. We were lucky with the weather, so enjoyed it a lot!

You know a tour has been enjoyable when you’re devastated that it’s over and the feeling of family, quality banter and wonderful storytelling that happened in a short space of 5 days is a testament to how extraordinary Charlie is as a guide! Would definitely recommend this tour and wish Charlie all the best!

He was like a travel buddy but with a ridiculous amount of knowledge and local experience especially in his hometown. He was super helpful and had a great vibe which made it easy for the whole tour group get along and involved in all activities. The tour was Brilliant, Crackn and Grand (in a Scottish accent)
Scenery was almost unreal I can only relate it to fictional movies it was truely breathtaking.
Highly recommended!!

The tour itself was jam packed with amazing sights and Charlie even showed us a few points of interest off the itinerary. Despite the weather being pretty average the first few days, Charlie's positive attitude was infectious and we all got out there in the rain and cold and had a great time. The accomodation wasnt great on the isle but improved the second night (although we did pay for an upgrade). Overall would 100% recommend. Thanks Charlie!!

The trip is really centered around drinking most of the activities were just going to bars and some of them were terrible venues too small.
The tour guide Charlie was a terrible tour guide, he was basically getting drunk and hanging at bars, he made no effort with to guide us around the city.
Hé created a group chat in order to keep in touch with the people from the group but then he decided to only add half of us.
The tour that we did to the highland was just terrible, he took us to random spots that were just close by so he wouldn’t have to make that much effort
On the 1st we were supposed to take a bus to watch the loony goose but then we were asked to pay extra even though it wasn’t mentioned in the trip before.
Basically everyone was doing their thing and the tour guide made no effort to try to create any type of cohesion.
You should skip this tour and pick another one !

There is one suggestion for the company regarding the accommodation set-up. One of the 6 in our room kept opening and closing the door in the early hours of the morning then came in and awakened Petra to ask if there was a spare bed! He was seemingly lost but at no time had he been in the room to leave his gear. He climbed up to the top bunk above mine and spent time moving around. I can only imagine what he had been up to...
When I went to the bathroom in the dark, gear was spread out so I could have tripped. I am suggesting that
1. We meet our room mates in some manner - on arrival
2. A comment is given to the group about appropriate storage of cases, backpacks etc
Our tour guide Charlie was both professional and funny. He created a great culture for us all. I have travelled all over the world. Some of my trips have been with guides. His knowledge of the history and his wonderful sense of humour were well balanced. He was also helpful with my daughter who is intellectually challenged.

Our tour guide and driver, Charlie, was really good and knowledgeable. As a Highlander, he had personal and family stories about the land that he could retell, as well as Scottish folklore and history. His insights added a new dimension to the journey and it would not have been the same without him. We highly recommend travelling with Haggis Adventures and Charlie as a guide!

The open itinerary was great as it gave our guide flexibility on things to see dependent on weather. The accommodation was very organised And our guide made note of different activities in the evening that we could do. Morag’s Lodge was a great little hostel with an atmospheric pub in the evening. The bus was very comfy and clean, and the giant wording on the side was great. Our guide Charlie was definitely a highlight. His stories and jokes made the drives even more entertaining.
This is a great tour for a young traveller who is interested in seeing the Scottish Highlands in a casual, social atmosphere. It is also very well-priced!

The best part was how he managed to save my lost personal belongings with swift succession and organised another driver (Steve P) to pick up my misplaced bag and have it reunited with me back in Edinburgh so that I could continue my travels stress free which was highly appreciated at such short notice
