About me:I am a Professional in tourism, and I was born in Cusco, where I went to University for 5 years to be licensed in tourism; I speak Spanish, Quechua (local language), French and English. I have been guiding and organizing customized and tailor made itineraries. Conventional, adventure, ecotourism, bird watching, 4x4 driving expeditions, and off the "beaten track tours for more than 20 years all over Peru. I live and work in Peru, I have first-hand experience of my country; this detailed, in-depth knowledge is the only way I can offer a truly great tailor-made travel service. I do not act as a middleman; you contact the expert who runs the operations for Tours & hotels directly to make a booking. For any question, you will always be in direct contact with me: The guide, Trip organizer and Operator without any intermediaries and extra costs. Without ever compromising your safety and comfort, I'll take you well off the tourist paths into the real Peru, the country I know inside out!. Also please note that Peru Trek 4 Good and I are part and work with The Mountain Fund which is a registered U.S. 501(c)3 non-profit organization

Pros: We saw just about everything we could hope to see in Peru and Bolivia under tight timeframe, and we barely had to do any of the work. Yure was incredibly organized and set us up with great guides. We particularly loved our guide in Bolivia, Sandro, who was with us from the time we crossed the border (and we may not have successfully crossed the border without him) until our final day. He went above and beyond to make the trip magical. We also appreciated how the itinerary intentionally helped us acclimate to the altitude. Overall, Yure did an exceptional job making a complex trip very easy and memorable, and he did it through wonderful people. Considerations: This is a budget tour, so there are budget accommodations. We had no heat in any of our hotels, and occasionally no hot water. If you’d like to be more comfortable, consider asking for some upgrades, particularly in Cusco. We did not feel Lima added to our trip aside from creating additional logistics. This was the only tour we didn’t enjoy, and we felt like we barely saw the city. We would have preferred flying directly into Cusco, then maybe tackling on Lima on our own at the end of the tour. Similarly, we discovered it can be quite difficult to find flights out of La Paz, and some other travelers on our Uyuni tour actually finished in Chile instead of La Paz. It might be worth looking into that possibility to see if flights are more accessible.

Yuri Chavez was very helpful in keeping me informed as to when we would go to the various sites and when and how my transportation would take place. The only two negatives for the trip were that this was not like other group tours I have been on where the same group of people travel together with common transportation and stay together in the same hotels and that I as the traveler had to arrange my own intra-country transportation including back to the starting point. Those segments of the trip should have been included in the cost even if it meant a higher cost. In regard to the first negative, I felt like I was pretty much on my own in that I was the only one on the tour in a particular hotel or doing a particular activity. It felt as if several semi-independent tours had been put together and the mix of participants for a particular activity was never the same. There was never the chance to get to know your fellow travelers well. Yuri Chavez was my only constant and I appreciate his efforts in communicating the daily schedules and what was needed to follow that.

In addition to our trip to Peru, we decided to explore Bolivia. The agent made sure that we were picked up from the correct hotel after completing our Peru trip and were ready for another adventure in Bolivia. I consider myself to be well-organized, but the way our tour operator handled everything was simply amazing! The trip was incredible, not only due to Bolivia's natural beauty but also thanks to the hard work of the people behind the scenes. A heartfelt thank you for everything.

He was great, responsive, and he and all tour guides we friendly and knowledgeable. We were a group of four (myself, husband, 10yo boy and 8yo girl) and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and created memories to last a lifetime. Before the trip was over we were already discussing our next adventure with Peru Trek4Good and/or Tourradar!
