The trip takes about 3h to 3.5h from Aswan to Abu Simbel. The visit there takes about 1.5h -2h there are 2 temples and you can enter both. After the tour you are "obligated" to walk through a sort of market every merchants tries to sell tou something. Just walk past and decline politely and it will be fine.
Our boat was comfortable and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The tour and guides were wonderful and I would recommend this trip to anyone coming to Egypt.

It took me a while to realize that this tour operator is separate from the river boat company. All of the guides were very nice and helpful. I was advised by one guide that I should tip the driver. When you go to Egypt you will learn quickly everyone wants a tip or a handout. The tourboat we had was my main problem. The ceiling was leaking the first day, and our room shook all day while the disk engine was running. Diesel exhaust was in our room whenever the boat was stopped. All of the river boats in the Nile, all companies, have the exhaust low so that it can blow right into the common areas of the boat.
