I am honest and hardworking, I have a great sense of humor. I am easy going person. I always ready to learn all new challenges and skills. I also enjoy traveling, listening to music, socialize with friends and colleagues. I am a sporty person, I do gymnastics almost everyday. Saroeun was an accommodating and knowledgeable guide. He looked after everyone as well, which is a good sign of someone who cares about travelers in a foreign country. He looked after everyone as well, which is a good sign of someone who cares about travelers in a foreign country. The main areas of improvement for Vietnam on a Shoestring is the accommodation and meals. Considering the cost of the tour, i was hoping for moderately comfortable hostels and at least more than one instance with double sharing. Majority of lodging was dormitory style and in at least half of them, appliances/amenities didn’t work or there was loud construction, bumping street noise, and dirty bathrooms. As a frequent traveler in Southeast Asia, it appears the company makes money on the accommodation front. Included meals also had poor offerings for vegans, and this is something i clarified before booking the trip, being promised that there would be options. More like a few pieces of fruit or bread. The company can do better at accommodating guests with special diets, especially if we’re paying for it. I was disappointed with these two things that forced me to always look after my own meals, have to plan ahead, and a few times book my own room so i can have some good sleep. Itinerary, excursions/activities not included, and guide (Saroeun) - otherwise - were ace.
Sad to think G Adventures overcharges and makes money considering what accommodations we had!

The very 1st time my friends visited Siem Reap with Sin Saroeun as our guide in Y2012, he was just a local young skinny man with no muscles & no long hair. He is a very friendly guy who loves his job …The very 1st time my friends visited Siem Reap with Sin Saroeun as our guide in Y2012, he was just a local young skinny man with no muscles & no long hair. He is a very friendly guy who loves his job very much, helpful & has vast knowledge about his country’s history as I remembered we were all hooked on his story sharing on Angkor Wat & other historical sites in Siem Reap. It was indeed a memorable trip we all had with him & what makes it special is we became friends till to-date. Cheers!

This was my first G Adventure tour I have done 2 more since then and am now booking my 4th to Japan. The Mekong River trip was amazing from the places we seen the culture and the food nothing disappoi…This was my first G Adventure tour I have done 2 more since then and am now booking my 4th to Japan. The Mekong River trip was amazing from the places we seen the culture and the food nothing disappointed, then to top it off we had not only an amazing guide but an incredible person in Saroeun. Nothing was to much trouble anything you wanted or asked for or about he would do everything within his means to make it happen or give you the answer you were looking for. We had 2 elderly gentleman and their wives on our tour that were sight impaired and to watch Saroeum make sure they were OK and enjoying their trip without ever over looking the rest of the group was incredible. He ensured everyone in the group got the very most out of the trip and always went in my eyes above and beyond. As for G Adventures it's the only way to travel as for Saroeun you will need to look far and wide to find a more dedicated tour guide.

I went on this tour for 4 weeks, 4 years ago. I am not sure if that is the right tour I have entered. But we did a loop of South East Asia, with saroeun as our tour guide. And it made me fall in love with South East Asia, so much so I am currently back out in South East Asia at the moment to explore more. Saroeun could not have been a better tour guide. He was truly the best! Could not fault him, he's kind, caring, friendly and fun! And he became friends with all of us over the 4 weeks we spent together. And recently whilst being back in cambodia, I had the chance to see him again after 4 years! I would always recommend the tour to anyone who was interested in doing a bit of travelling. And could not speak any highly of saroeun. He is an amazing guy! Thanks for all the great memories

Sarouen was an exceptional guide. He was knowledgeable, helpful and always looked after all of us. At one point I found it difficult to go up the steps of a rocky hill and he let the rest go on and …Sarouen was an exceptional guide. He was knowledgeable, helpful and always looked after all of us. At one point I found it difficult to go up the steps of a rocky hill and he let the rest go on and he waited for me. The Indochina tour had a great itinerary and Sarouen was always in the right place at the right time and told us what to expect. I have done several tours like this and he is the best I've ever experienced. He has a good sense of humour and also bought us little treats when the journey was boring - sweets and a Cambodian scarf each. It was a very memorable trip and he certainly helped to make it so.

It was the perfect tour for discovering South East Asia and being immersed into a new culture. Saroeun was the best tour guide and created lasting memories for everyone within the group; it would not have been the same without him. We learnt a lot whilst travelling with Saroeun and always felt comfortable. He's trusting, friendly and a great leader.

You could get a better guide. Lovely guy but more importantly great local knowledge and always went the extra mile so it was a totally awesome and memorable trip.
