Be prepared for a lengthy review.. apologies. I had never ever been anywhere abroad on my own, let alone long distance, changing planes half way there, I look back now and don’t know how I did it! I booked onto the 12 day Bali intro as a solo traveller last minute which meant I didn’t allow myself much time to worry.. which was essential as I am a very very nervous person (shocked literally everyone I knew when I told them I was doing this). As I waved bye to my parents and attempted not to break down in tears as I got on the plane, I thought, my god, what am I doing!! But after years of trying to interest and tempt my friends into travelling with constant ‘no’s’ and ‘hmm dunno’s’ I just decided, right, I’ve had enough of waiting, I want to see the world! From the minute I stepped off that plane and landed in Bali, and this little blonde woman came running up to me calling my name and giving me a massive hug, all my worries went away.
Firstly, my tour leader, Victoria, was amazing. Like your best mate within a day. So easy to talk to, so friendly, but she also made you feel unbelievably safe, giving you advice every step of the way as well as making you laugh and gel with everyone and just all round, be perfect.
The group I was with were the next best thing, people from all over the UK, America, Canada, Australia, Spain and Italy! Yes it was a big group... but it meant there was always someone to talk to and something to learn! One of my now best friends is someone I met on tour, she lives in Scotland and I have been on many visits and plan to continue to do so!
Everywhere we stayed was nice, clean, some places were stunning, like Ubud and the hotel in Canggu, the best was the private villa in Lovina, I mean... if you go you will see what I mean!!!
Where do I begin with the things we did.. such a great mix. Dolphin watching was magical, learning to surf was hilarious and so much fun, and Gili T... was just like another world. A bit of advice.. if you get sea sick I would advise sitting outside on the boat there & back as this is not a fun boat trip for us bad travellers! However, once you get there it is like paradise. The cycle ride round the island ends at a beautiful beach where you just lounge around on beanbags drinking cocktails/milkshakes, whatever you want, and taking in the absolutely breathtaking views. And at night, the clubs and the atmosphere was amazing, everyone you met there was just so friendly and laid back, the Irish bar where you stay is fantastic.. staff are so friendly - as is everyone you meet over there!!
The volcano trek was stunning - a big bit of advice again, this is HARD, probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. You are climbing for hours, in the dark, with no support ropes or chains, which was a little funny but yuno, also terrifying and draining. And I did not listen hard enough when Vic said it would be really cold, I thought she was exaggerating, it was FREEZING when you reached the top. I mean in your backpack I advise taking blankets, layers, every jumper you own, trust me! The view made it all worth it, and the climb back down was hilarious. Oh and the massage you get back at the hotel is insane... I didn’t even ache the next day it was that good!
Transport was fantastic - imagine a private mini bus with air con, music and so much conversation. Even if you fancy a bit of peace and down time, there’s plenty to look at out the window!
I feel like I’ve missed something off this review, and whatever I say, it will not do the experience I had anywhere near enough justice. But I look back now and it was honestly the best two weeks of my entire life. Get on that plane, go for it and experience Bali, you won’t regret it.

The activities were all superb had a great variety to experience both Bali culture inland as well as water activities on the beach and sea.
Hard to choose a favourite day or activity because the trip was so full of them from simple meals with the group to surfing the waves for the first time but the most memorable is the dolphin boat trip getting the chance to see them in the wild is truly unforgettable.
Has been a real life changing experience for me as after trying new things outside my comfort zone in an environment where others are in the same boat has given me a huge confidence booster to go explore other places too and keep trying new things back home. I would recommend Bali intro to others 100%

Excellent, well organised tour. Victoria, our guide was always at hand to give advice/help with any queries. No hidden costs but more breakfasts included would have been a bonus.

Vic honestly couldn’t of been more helpful on this trip. A few things on th itinerary didn’t go to plan because of the weather but Vic did everything she possibly could to make it the best trip.

I think the volcano trip should be optional, as I choose the 12 day trip so I could visit Ubud, but I really struggled on the trek, so I would of preferred to of been given the option to do something else.
Overall, I had the most amazing experience, and I defiantly enjoyed my first trip with Intro travel. I can’t wait to do the tour in Thailand too!
P.s, I meant to do 5* on food but I clicked the wrong button!!

The whole tour runs so smoothly and each place you visit is so different from the last there's no chance to get bored but you also get just the right amount of free time / time to relax when you need it.
Victoria was AMAZING from start to finish, making sure everyone was involved with the rest of the group and also super helpful and always on hand with anything that anyone needed. Perfect balance between being a fun part of the group and also being the group leader making sure everyone was safe, happy and making our trip special :)
Highlights of the trip for me were the private villa in Lovina and the dolphin trip which was sooo much more than I expected.
Absolutely loved this tour and would definitely recommend, met such a lovely group of people that I will definitely be keeping in touch with and saw so much more of Bali than I would have done if I went on my own.

Multiple ( and I'm sure repetitive ) questions were answered immediately via email and phone by out tour guide Vick, a tour leader that I know could turn her hand to any tour and automatically make you feel at ease. All accommodation was beautiful, perfectly clean. Victoria our team leader is the perfect example of an effective leader. She continuously assured our safety without us even realizing as we enjoyed ourself immensely. Nightlife across the board was phenomenal. All the different clubs and bars were a pure geg ( Irish term) with our leader teaching us some intricately difficult dance moves and ourselves teaching her some back!! The professionalism of the entire tour was impeccable. The relationship established by Victoria from the beginning played the perfect line between leader and friend. All included meals were stunning. As this was my first tour that I travelled on I did not know what to expect. Following the tour I would exclusively state that any further tour that I will accompany (which I will assure you I have already planned) with be with Intro Travel. When the background intracasies are taken care of by an amazing team, it really just allows you to enjoy what you booked the holiday for in the first place.... love of travel.

I was so impressed with the Villa and the hotel in Canggu. Victoria was our tour guide and has been the best tour guide to date. Victoria had a,axing patience and understood everyone's personalities in the group. It was great that she was able to have a laugh with us but was so professional too. I plan to book on a tour next year and look forward to it.

This was my first trip overseas, and was also my first solo experience. I was excited, but a bit apprehensive about it as well. Victoria was fantastic and made me feel very comfortable being a ‘non-backpacker’ in pretty much a backpacker environment! She was enthusiastic, always smiling and very informative. I never felt uneasy asking her for help, she was always reachable, and I felt safe with her at all times. I couldn’t have asked for a better leader for all of my amazing Bali adventures! Many thanks to Vic... keep on dancing!! ;) This has truly been an incredible trip and was more than I could have imagined :)

I felt a bit unsure and nervous about traveling so far away from home but Victoria was so lovely and understanding about any concern and made me feel at ease. She also made all activities fun and interesting , I was a bit nervous about snorkeling but she made me feel relaxed and didn't push any of us to do anything we didn't want to do. The trip …I have had the most amazing trip, I've loved every single activity that we've done especially the boat trips, cycling tour round the islands, nights out and visiting the beaches and temples. The trip was so well organized and I couldn't have asked for a better tour leader as she went above and beyond for us all. The food and accommodation has been amazing and I have got to see so much of Bali that I wouldn't have seen if it wasn't for coming on this trip. It has been one of the best trips ever and I've loved literally all of it.
Accommodation was so much better than I thought it would be. Victoria was insane and always helped us with everything (Thank youuuuu XXX)

We as a group were informed regularly of the itinerary so not one ounce of stress was experienced. Due to the amazing experience have put down a deposit for Vietnam 12 day intro travel and would highly recommend to anyone. The trip was once in a lifetime experience and thanks to the leader I feel I seen and did everything I wanted to and more. Thank you again Victoria and Intro Bali
