Scotland had been on my bucket list for ages, and I had the time of my life on this tour. This is probably the best way to see the country if you are not comfortable renting a car and doing it yoursel…Scotland had been on my bucket list for ages, and I had the time of my life on this tour. This is probably the best way to see the country if you are not comfortable renting a car and doing it yourself. The guides were fantastic and took such good care of us, their little flock. Carrie (first half of the tour) was hilarious and had us in stitches. She's so spirited, I think she might be a faerie (one of the good ones, of course). Duncan (second half of the tour) was a class-act gentleman, always cool and collected, kind and courteous. Both were passionate about their country and brought history and legend to life. And those driving skills...!!! 10/10

Weather was perfect - best for Up Helly Aa in years apparently - which made the procession day and galley burning extra magical. I also managed to survive the all-night party! Great fun from start to finish. Duncan and Kirstie were full of knowledge and so easy to get on with. Incredible trip, my second but definitely not my last.

First of all, I am a 46 year old English teacher and not the most obvious guest on such a tour, but still I really enjoyed it a lot!!! We saw lots of different things (blackhouses, a very authentic Wh…First of all, I am a 46 year old English teacher and not the most obvious guest on such a tour, but still I really enjoyed it a lot!!! We saw lots of different things (blackhouses, a very authentic Whisky distillery, the Butt of Lewis with its stunning cliffs, picturesque Portree and its great pubs with live music, Loch Ness ect. The absolute highlights for me were the hike up to the Man of Storr and the farewell pub quiz at the Lodge in Loch Ness! I also appreciated Duncan´s great knowledge of the Scottish history and legends which he interspersed with the matching songs. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable for me was the 8 bed room dorm and only 3 showers in the whole youth hostel and the fact that we spent the day on the beach, when it was cold and misty and the day before had been nice and sunny. But then again, I guess it´s not so easy to change the itinerary on the spot. I wish I had been able to go swimming though because we were really lucky with the weather. In general, it was really worth going on this trip, our group was great fun and Duncan was a good guide!!

He modified our trip for us, let us stop whenever there was a bountiful supply of fresh snow (mainly young Aussie group that hadn't really seen the stuff before), and his storytelling was so engaging and fun to listen to. I highly recommend Duncan for every tour and I've already told so many friends to see Scotland through Haggis. I wish you did more tours across Europe! There were also two lovely girls training with us (I can't remember their names for the life of me however) and they were really friendly and fun too.

We linked up with the 5 day tour for the Ceilidh which was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done for Christmas/travelling. It made me feel like I really understood what Scotland’s all about! The other Haggis team members (Rich, Calum, Caitlin etc) were such good fun and really included in their banter. Can’t say enough good things about the whole experience really, just loved it!

This 5-day tour will take you to some lesser-known parts of the Scottish Highlands and Outer Hebrides and will leave you checking out the local real estate offices. Beginning in the village of Dunkel…This 5-day tour will take you to some lesser-known parts of the Scottish Highlands and Outer Hebrides and will leave you checking out the local real estate offices. Beginning in the village of Dunkeld in Perthshire, with a picturesque cathedral by the river and plenty of shopping for locally-made pottery and handicrafts, this tour did not disappoint. Travel to Ullapool was chock-full of wonderful small adventures to Rogie Falls and Corrieshalloch Gorge. This was followed by a comfortable ferry-ride to the Isle of Lewis. Arriving in Stornoway, accommodations were clean and welcoming. The Isle of Lewis is a magical place full of beaches, standing stones, brochs, history and ancient cultures. Tour guide Duncan was second-to-none in his willingness to communicate, educate and entertain passengers in order to enhance their understanding and knowledge of Island life and heritage. The tour of Abhainn Dearg Distillery is a great one for whiskey enthusiasts as well as whiskey 'beginners.' I really felt like I was encouraging a young company as well as entrepreneurship in a remote location. The three-year-old whiskey is fantastic and a great gift for someone who appreciates good whiskey. Next year's passengers will have the ten-year-old whiskey to look forward to!
The FirstFruits Tearoom in Tarbert, Isle of Harris has amazing coffee and sweets and the friendliest staff on the planet. There was a great arts and crafts show in the community hall behind the FirstFruits café where I indulged in the shopping of Harris Tweed and spoke with local artists/craftspeople.
The Isle of Skye was majestic. It was even better than the photos. This is a place where you have to get out in the wilderness put your hiking boots on (good runners will do) and get your heartrate up. Again, Duncan was a fantastic guide. He took us to the Old Man of Storr before the 'tourists' arrived, explained the mythology of the landscape and took everyone on an adventure.
In Lochness, the accommodation at Morag's Lodge was great. Clean and comfortable, great bar, good music and lively atmosphere. Home cooked meals are a bargain and taste great. Toga party is a must (swimming is optional!).
The last day of the tour takes you to Glencoe (the weeping glen) - (decent footwear recommended!)- Stirling and we had a great opportunity to photograph Highland Coos!
Tour guide Duncan was an informative and honest host. He made the tour memorable and educative. He is fun and energetic but also professional and sincere. Duncan MacLean is a great ambassador for Scotland, truly patriotic and an exemplary representative of the tourism industry in Scotland. I recommend this trip to first-time visitors to Scotland as well as avid visitors who have not yet explored the Western Highlands and Islands. Excellent value for your money.

He encouraged everyone to get to know each other, make friends, created great ice breakers, all while being a tour guide, bus driver, DJ, weather forecaster, etc. It was great that Duncan would play theme songs to give us hints to the sights that were were coming up to, which helped to build the anticipation for everyone. He made sure that we weren't on the bus for too long and always made scenic stops for us to stretch our legs and get snacks. The accommodations were comfortable and there was always places for quiet as well as socializing. The bus was also comfortable. I would recommend going on a Haggis Adventure and will go on another one if I return to Scotland.

Duncan's detailed knowledge of there, as well as the history relating to the trip, was excellent. The hotel we stayed at in Inverness for two nights, was excellent. The coach and other facilities were great, and the overall trip went very smoothly. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get a first-hand, intimate look at the Highlands of Scotland.

I also really think it's the people that make the tour as well, and I was fortunate to have a group that meshed really well together (people in their 20s and 30s like myself). If you're looking to explore Scotland for the first time, this tour is an amazing way to do so to see all the amazing sights!

The 5 day itinerary was perfectly put together and timed with sufficient breaks in between. Most of our time was spent outside of the bus exploring, hiking and learning about Scotland's history.
The accommodations in Stornoway and Inverness were great but the one in Portree was horrible. 6 bunkbeds(12beds) in a room without windows...this hostel should not be used in the future so it can be renovated.
