7 Day Scandinavia Itinerary, incl. Copenhagen and Helsinki
A vibrant 7-day tour weaves through Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. Marvel at Copenhagen's colorful Nyhavn, Stockholm's medieval Gamla Stan, and Helsinki's historic Suomenlinna Fortress, featuring an overnight Baltic Sea crossing.

- Days 1-2
Copenhagen, Denmark
Get to Nyhavn before 9 AM to see the famous colorful houses without the crowds. Morning light is perfect for photos and you can grab coffee at the newly opened cafes. The Little Mermaid statue is a quick stop - it's smaller than most people expect. Make sure to catch the changing of the guards at Amalienborg Palace at noon. A Copenhagen Card is worth buying if you plan to visit multiple sites. It covers public transport and Tivoli Gardens admission. Visit Tivoli in the late afternoon when it's less crowded.

- Day 3
Copenhagen to Stockholm
Start early with a visit to Kronborg Castle (known as Hamlet's castle) in Elsinore. Take the 20-minute ferry to Sweden - sit on the port side for the best views. Stop for lunch in Jönköping about 4 hours from the ferry. Try the local småländska kroppkakor (potato dumplings) at Restaurang Sjön by Lake Vättern.

- Days 4-5
Stockholm, Sweden
Explore Gamla Stan (Old Town) before 10 AM to beat the crowds. The Nobel Prize Museum opens at 9 AM and fills up quickly. Visit Fjällgatan viewpoint in the afternoon for the best lighting for city photos. A regular visitor shares: "The Stockholm City Hall tour is worth every penny—book in advance as English tours often sell out. The Vasa Museum needs at least 2 hours, and the lighting is best for photos in the morning."

- Days 5 Evening-6
Stockholm to Finland
- Days 6-7
Finnish Coast to Helsinki
Arrive in Turku at 7 AM and visit Turku Castle when it opens at 10 AM. Spend about 2 hours in nearby Naantali's wooden Old Town. You'll reach Helsinki by early afternoon. Start at Senate Square for orientation and walk to Market Square by the harbor for local food. Visit Suomenlinna fortress islands - ferries run every 30 minutes with your HSL day ticket. Plan 3-4 hours for the fortress.

6 Days in Scandinavia, incl. Oslo and Copenhagen
Six days of Nordic charm link 5 cities, from Oslo's green spaces to Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens. Highlights include Orebro Castle, Stockholm's Gamla Stand, and Kronborg Castle, with 4-star stays at Raddison Blu Park and Quality Hotel Globe.

- Day 1
Oslo, Norway
Start your trip in Oslo and settle into the city center. Get an Oslo Pass at the airport to cover public transport and major attractions. Visit the Bygdøy peninsula and Viking Ship Museum in the afternoon when cruise ship crowds are smaller. A recent visitor noted: "You'll have plenty of free time to explore between scheduled activities."

- Day 2
Oslo to Stockholm
Take a morning city tour of Oslo and see the Vigeland Sculpture Park before 9 AM to beat the tour buses. The drive to Stockholm takes 6-7 hours, with a stop in the medieval town of Örebro. Bring lunch since highway stops are limited and expensive. You'll reach Stockholm in time for an evening walk through Gamla Stan (Old Town).
