14 Day Eastern USA & Canada Itinerary, incl. New York and Chicago
A grand 14-day route through 12 cities across 2 countries showcases Times Square, Harvard University, Chateau Frontenac, and Willis Tower. The trip includes the thrilling Hornblower Niagara Cruise, 1000 Islands boat tour, with stays at carefully selected hotels like Holiday Inn Express NY and Westin Jersey City.

- Days 1-2
New York City
Start your two weeks in Manhattan. City traffic is usually heavy in the morning, so plan to begin exploring after 9:30 AM. Your first morning is perfect for Lower Manhattan - visit Wall Street and Battery Park. Book your Freedom Tower tickets for late afternoon when lines are shorter. On day two, explore Midtown. Get to Central Park early to beat the crowds, then spend your evening in Times Square when the bright lights create an unforgettable atmosphere.

- Days 3-4
Boston & Montreal
The 4-hour drive to Boston is broken up nicely with stops in Connecticut. Once in Boston, take about 3 hours to walk the Freedom Trail. Be sure to wear good walking shoes since the brick paths aren't always even. The next day takes you through Vermont's Green Mountains to Montreal. The Canadian border crossing usually takes between 30-60 minutes.

- Days 5-6
Quebec City
Quebec City is about 3 hours from Montreal along the St. Lawrence River. The Old Town is perfect for walking tours. Start at Chateau Frontenac and explore the cobblestone streets down to Place Royale. Want to visit Montmorency Falls? Take bus #800 from the city center. It's a 25-minute ride and much cheaper than a taxi.

- Days 7-8
Ottawa & Thousand Islands
Your drive to Ottawa goes through the beautiful Laurentian Mountains. If you're visiting in summer, catch the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Parliament Hill at 10 AM. Make sure to book your Thousand Islands boat cruise ahead of time during peak season. As one visitor shared: "The Thousand Islands cruise was a highlight - sit on the right side of the boat for the best views of the castles and mansions."

- Days 9-10
Toronto & Niagara Falls
- Days 11-12
Detroit to Chicago
- Days 13-14
Chicago
Your first full Chicago day covers the main attractions: Millennium Park, Willis Tower, and the Museum Campus. The architecture river cruise is well worth doing - book the 10:30 AM tour for perfect lighting on the buildings. On your final morning, you'll have time for some shopping on Michigan Avenue, which opens at 10 AM.

Total costs around $6,300 with approx. $450 per day, covering premium accommodations and expert guides.

What people love about 2-week Canada and USA tours
- East Coast USA and Canada (End New York)
Our first Trafalgar tour and it was fantastic. We stayed in some very beautiful hotels and our guide Diego and driver Jose were just great. The tour itself was exactly what I wanted to see. If you are interested in American history this is the tour to go on. If you want to see some very beautiful sights, this is your tour. Niagara Falls is to die for. First class all the way.
- Eastern USA & Canada Escape (17 destinations)
Very good trip, had an amazing time. Recommend!
- New York City, Niagara Falls & Washington DC with Extended Stay in New York City
Loved all the places we went. Hotels were all good. The location of the hotel in Virginia was way off the beaten path and had to get uber rides to anywhere we went. Should be in more of a walkable area.
