Armenia / Meeting with locals - 8 days 7 nights - 2026 / MIN 2 PAXI booked in to the 8 day, 7 night, your in Armenia, mostly because I was interested to explore this part of the world, with some free time between other plans. I expected I would be travelling with a group, but found out I was the only person booked, so it because a private tour. I appreciate that this tour could still go ahead, as some agencies in other countries will cancel a tour if minimum numbers aren't reached, otherwise require a single supplement to be paid. Every person I've met through Silk Road Travels has been so lovely and kind, from my driver getting me at the airport, Inga who showed me around Yerevan on my first day, Hovhannes who was my guide for the majority of the tour, and Laura supporting on the back end in the office. I have felt welcome in the country and very safe. The tour was very well planned and placed, and there was downtime each day if needed. I got to see a lot of the country and visit places filled with history, natural beauty and cultural significance. I've loved every place visited, and have learnt so much about the country, its people and ongoing efforts to recover from years of control and genocide inflicted by neighbouring countries. Regardless, the people remain strong, proud and hopeful. The food was excellent every day, and there was always an abundance of fresh ingredients and interesting things to taste. It reminded me very much of my Greek grandmother's cooking, so I felt right at home. Thanks Silk Road Travels for a wonderful experience!
Armenia Women’s Adventure Tour - 8 Days / 7 Nights 2026 / MIN 4 PAXOur tour of Armenia was wonderful and unforgettable experience. Our guide/ driver, Naur was excellent and one of the best we have had. He was very knowledgeable, especially finding the best places to eat. He was considerate and attentive to our wishes. He was careful and confident driver which was greatly appreciated especially in Armenia. The Caucasus tour was a well planned wonderful itinerary showing the best of Armenia. We enjoyed the convenience of staying in one hotel in the capital, Yerevan. This made the tour comfortable and enjoyable. The days were well spaced. We chose the Paris Hotel. It was excellent and ideally located close to many restaurants and city sites. We arrived knowing very little about Armenia but left having learnt so much about its fascinating history and culture. This tour will remain in our memories for many years to come. Highly recommended.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall brings rich colors across Armenia's landscapes and kicks off the wine harvest, making it perfect for both cultural and wine-focused tours. Our premium routes mix ancient monastery visits with hands-on grape picking at family vineyards. You'll find yourself in the Ararat Valley where vineyards turn crimson and gold against snowy peaks, or walking through Dilijan National Park's golden forests. The weather stays nice for exploring outdoor sites like Garni Temple and taking the ropeway up to Tsakhkadzor. Our travelers really enjoy the seasonal treats - fresh walnuts, dried fruits and also the new wine that starts appearing in village homes and local markets.

- Spring 2027
Spring hits the sweet spot in Armenia with mild temperatures that make exploring really comfortable. Our wine tours tap into 8,000 years of local tradition while the countryside comes into bloom - you'll discover family cellars in the Ararat Valley and try wines aged in traditional clay vessels called amphorae. The cultural routes take you through some remarkable places like Geghard Monastery, which sits right in the mountain rock, plus visits to Khor Virap where Mount Ararat creates a perfect photo backdrop. Our clients especially enjoy cooking classes in heritage homes and walking Dilijan's forest trails dotted with spring wildflowers. The food markets buzz with activity as fresh produce rolls in, making it prime time for trying local flavors.

- Summer 2027
Summer opens up every corner of Armenia, from high-altitude Lake Sevan down to the vineyard-covered Areni valleys. We plan our cultural tours around the long daylight hours - starting with Yerevan's pink tuff buildings in the cool morning light before heading up to mountain monasteries. Many clients pick routes including the "Wings of Tatev" cable car ride and also the intricate carved stones at Noratus. Wine tours really come into their own now with outdoor tastings in family vineyards, visits to modern wineries and traditional producers too. Our travelers often tell us how much they love evening walks through Yerevan's squares and markets in the pleasant summer warmth.
