However, the Vietnam trutravels experience was underwhelming. The buffalo run itself was great, I'm just finding it difficult to see where the extra 200 pounds I paid went.
The trip was honestly the best 10 days ever. Despite some tricky characters in the group, Rohan treated everyone with respect and equally. I can't say thank you enough for making it so much fun!

Rohan our tour leader has been so great and helpful to everyone. From start to finish I can't fault him, he has helped me and other travellers with getting problems solved such as broken phones, bike crashes, lost property etc. He has taken the time with everyone to ensure these problems are resolved and everyone is having a good time.
We had a great group, a very large group too! Rohan tried to ensure everyone was included in every aspect of the tour, which was challenging as not everyone always wanted to participate. But either way the whole group was amazing and such a laugh and everyone has there own preferences.
The only thing I have to nit pick about is that a few things on the itineary were removed without our prior knowledge before arriving. I wish we were advised of these changes before arriving as to avoid disappointment from these activities upon beginning the tour.
Otherwise a great trip I would do again!

Rohan was a great tour leader with lots of knowledge about all the areas, good places to eat, great shopping for anything you need. He was also very helpful, he took us on his bike to get some bits and bobs from town before the tour began.
I met some incredible people on the tour, friends for life! I am currently looking at booking my next tour, it can't come quick enough!
With the Bali experience you get a taste of the countryside/tourist areas with Cangu, real life culture in the centre of Ubud in incredible little hits (they even bring your breakfast up to your balcony in the morning!), and a taste of paradise in Gili.
The tour is packed full so you get to experience everything from bartering to trekking to snorkelling with turtles! Rohan was really good at altering the tour to suit what the majority wanted to do without abandoning the minority. He's so much fun, knows all the best places in Bali, can't go wrong with him. Can't wait for my next tour, I hope the tour leader will be as good as Rohan, I would highly recommend both the tour leader and the tour itself, best two weeks of my life!

-The accommodation was fantastic even when there was a slight change of plans in Gili T. Not once did I have any second thoughts or worries.
-Travel was excellent for the longer journeys being comfy and perfectly chilled (gave us a chance to catch up on sleep for a lot of us!).
-I loved that there was always something to do every evening from live music, accidental beach parties or beer pong.
-Although some of the group didn't really want to hang out with the rest of us, this didn't hinder the positive, caring and hilarious vibe we had. I am still gutted to have had to said my goodbyes to the group, Bali & Gili T and the incredibly lovely Balinese people.
Rohan was great from start to finish. He was so informative about wherever we went, always on hand if we needed anything or for any recommendations for food or things to do. On a personal shout out, when I injured myself in Gili T, Rohan was straight on the case. He cheered me up and got me all cleaned up at a doctors within 20 minutes of it happening- so unbelievably grateful. I had learned so much from Rohan and shared hundreds of laughs I would recommend him for any tour.
The only minor complaint I have is that I wish I was told when certain things were cancelled, rather than finding out when we got there. I also think paddle boarding would have been a better option instead of a bike ride round Gili T, as we had already covered the island on our bikes before this was planned.
I have made so many new friends and memories I would recommend this to everyone. This was my first trip to Bali but its definitely not my last!
P.S. tad sad I can't find any Bintang in UK :(

As someone who has been travelling for a couple of months and is trying to be a bit more savvy with their money, I don't think that this is really the place to be.
Although not bad, the tour guide was maybe a little pushy in trying to force fun as such and if you wanted to go home early from a night out, he's try to make you feel a little bad about it.
I cannot complain whatsoever about the transport and accommodation but I do question the overall value of the trip for the inclusions that are on there. I heard for the people who had previously been on the trutravels tour of thailand that there was more inclusions, drinks and a few extra meals etc.
Unfortunately I don't think I would recommend this trip to anyone as I feel as though anyone who is prepared to do any sort of research would have an equally good time for a much cheaper price.

If we were meeting at 8 I assumed we would leave at 8 but sometimes it ended up being 8.30 which was annoying. Activities were fun, especially surfing and the cooking class. Great value for money. It was so much better than i expected it to be and included enough activities to see Bali and its treasures. Our Tour Guide Rohan was amazing and for me really made the tour complete. He always kept us informed and in the loop about meeting times and the plans for the following day as well giving us information and facts about Bali along the way. He's so friendly and fun to be around and took to us to some really great spots in the evening where we had good food and great places to party afterwards. I honestly couldn't fault Rohan and think he is a great asset to Tru Travles and would love to have him as a tour leader again on another tour! The tour itself was spaced out perfectly and included some great things planned for the day but if i could change anything, i would maybe have liked some things planned for the evening so that it was an excuse for all the group to be together and for everyone to join in more. The accommodation was great and after travelling around southeast Asia for a few months it was pure bliss to stay somewhere nice, especially the Koa d' Surfer in Canggu. Overall i would definitely do a Tru Travels tour again and have some great memories to take away with from a fantastic time in Bali :)

He was always up for some fun and also a few beer. We were a quite small group with 8 people, but this made the tour even better. All of us became friends really fast and even after the tour ended, those of us who were still in Bali, went back to Canggu with Rohan to enjoy our last days. There we also met other tours and spent some evenings together. It felt like being part of a huge family. I will surely do more tours with TruTravels.

Your was amazing! I do wish I was longer tho ! And all places we stayed at was super nice didn't even feel like a backpacked as I was expecting poor places but thy was all really nice !
I won't beat about the bush, the tour was the best thing I have ever done, I definitley each'd my senang-est moments (Happy in Indonesian). I learnt a lot about Bali and Rohan would go out of his way to make sure that the never ending real of questions were answered. If you were to ask me what the best moment of the trip was I don't think i would be able to tell you, ever single day was special, temples, monkeys, bikes, turtles FOOD (drinks ;)) what more could a gal ask for.. although being taught to stand up on a surf board was something I never thought I would do with my lack in balance, but I DID. Rohan was a top guide with top banta and I'm sure me and everyone else on the tour would agree with me that he was our bestie too. I'm going to miss being out there and everyone we were with so much but has definitely inspired me to book another Tour, and hopefully I will find all the friends made out there on our travels again!

I've made some great mates through it, even carried on travelling with some of them. It's a great way to introduce yourself to travelling or even for just a holiday, it takes all the stress of planning away from you.
Our tour guide, Rohan, was flippin amazing!!! He updated us every morning and evening with what we were doing and when. He was so patient with ALL our questions, always made sure we were having a good time, we had everything we needed, hung out with us in his free time to make sure we got around Bali ok. The best guide I've ever had!!! And to top it off he has a brilliant barnet, because he's worth it!!

From the moment we booked our holiday it was quite straight forward. We received an email from our guide before we departed, which I really liked as it made me feel at ease. We were given the option to ask any questions we may have.
We arrived and were greated my our tour guide- Rohan who from the beginning made us feel at ease. He was super friendly and we knew we had made the right choice.
We arrived at Koa surfer hotel and were pleasantly surprised. We found the staff, pool and rooms unfaultable. It's a shame breakfast slacked slightly.
We met our tour group members the next day and quickly bonded with all. We feel we were very well supported at all times by Rohan and trutravels. We never felt we weren't able to approach either. We found the activities varying and were really well supported by our group and Rohan when we were nervous to do an activity. I.e seema was very nervous about snorkeling and rohan took her around himself so that she could enjoy the experience.
We liked the ubud hotel and found it to be a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good and activities were excellent i.e the cooking class and monkey forest. We were always given the option of not doing something if we didn't feel comfortable which was nice as we never felt pressured to do something or unsupported. Rohan always gave us the option of something else or to be escorted back to our rooms and he did so when we returned home early from a night out.
As vegetarians we were worried we would find it difficult however were taken to good places which had good options and no one in the group got bali belly. I was slightly disappointed by the last meal as I felt the veggie options were limited and would be nice to have more variety.
Over all we had an amazing time and it wouldn't have been the same without the support of our guide and a great group. I would definitely be recommending this tour group and our guide Rohan to friends.

Rohan the tour leader is great and made sure that everyone was having a good time. Definitely a trip I wont forget. I'm glad to see that a longer tour is coming because I havent had enough :)

Accomodation was also great, better than I expected.

The activities were great but this tour could do with a day or two on each end for free time as it is very full on. The only downside for me was the food, I feel we could have eaten in some better places but over all it was an excellent experience and one I will remember for the rest of my life.

Accommodation was absolutely brilliant in every area we stayed. There were a few small hick-ups in Ubud with getting settled but nothing that takes away from the area. Staff for every hotel were amazing, friendly and incredibly helpful. Koa D was my favourite by far (Rooftop pool and bar!!). Definitely a good pick for the first hotel.
Transportation in most cases was good and to be expected. The only exception was our mini bus that took us to Ubud showed up late but that was out of TruTravels control.
Activities were all fantastic. They gave a good all round feel of the area and culture while still managing to entice the adventurous part in people. Maybe a day or two of free time would be good as the tour was quite full on. Top picks for activities for me were: Snorkeling, cooking class and surfing!
Tour guide (Rohan) can not be faulted at all. Such a down to earth guy that we all got along with really well. Very well organised and communicated with excellence throughout the whole trip. Handled any issues promptly and as a result no disruptions were made to the tour and everyone stayed in good spirit. All in all, good banter and many nights of drinking were had (We didn't quite kill him with all the drinking haha). As I said earlier I couldn't fault him even if I wanted to. If I could choose a guide he would be my first pick.
Definitely a trip I wont forget and so many friends made around the world!!

The bus rides etc were all relaxed, and you still had time do to your own thing in an afternoon if you wanted. Im planning my my tru travels trip I we speak! :)
