Milly was an excellent guide, full of positive energy, and enthusiasm, she done a fantastic job in bringing the group together. We got to learn lots about the history, culture and traditional customs from Ravi, who was highly knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions.
I cannot thank them both enough for the birthday celebrations we enjoyed together as a group.
As someone who was planning to tour Sri Lanka alone, I am very pleased and impressed by the diverse itintery and would highly recommend. Great pace, without feeling exhausted or being unoccupied. I will definitely be booking another tour with One Life Adventures.

From the amazing mountain hikes, awesome safari treaks and whale watching and breath taking beaches, this was has been the best experience one could ask for. Milly our guide was an absolute gem. She made sure we were all happy and well informed at all times, along with Ravi, so passionate about his country and making sure we have a true Sri Lanka experience. Can't wait for my next trip One Life Adventure.

The whole trip was amazing, the food was great as well as all staff I was served by the whole trip. I love this company and the vibe you’ve created, I am leaving this trip feeling like I’ve made a difference to the people’s lives I’ve touched and in return they’ve made a massive difference to mine. The outcome of this trip was the best experience I could have had and I’m currently looking at booking India with One Life.

READ THIS - this is as honest as i can put it, as i was reading reviews at home weighing up different tour companies or do the solo thing myself & didnt want to be pushed in by a travel agent just trying to push a product.
GUIDES:I Had Milly, She was Brilliant. I've met a few of the Guides & they all have GREAT personalities & will bend over backwards for your experience to be a great one.Example: I was drunk coming home through dark ally ways at 330am & messaged my guide to come find me as i was lost. She did & had a smile & laugh about it. She set up one of the most epic proposals i've ever seen with so much thought & effort.. Truly could not fault her & they never mention the word 'tip' like a contiki or busabout guide would. She also set me up for the weeks after my tour ended with contacts, recommendations & pre-arranged transfers! kept in touch to make sure they all worked out! i felt alot more organised & safe once leaving the tour to do my own thing.
TRAVEL SOLO or ONE LIFE?: i joined as a solo traveller amongst doing the other islands of the Philippines. I recommend both. As they only specialise in Palawan, you will see why. I met other couples, friendship groups & solo travellers doing palawan island & they had no knowledge of half the places & experiences that one life take us on. it was clear my experience would of been less, if i had done this island solo. but make sure you kick on to Boracay & Moalboal at least.
ACCOMMODATION/MEALS/TRANSPORT: All these reviews of 'there was no air conditioning, or 'the showers were buckets of water' or anything complaining are the same people who would blame the air hostess for the turbulence on the plane. Idiots. The rooms are way better then any other traveller at a bar i met who stayed in a basic hotel or hostel. the accommodation is awesome & fine, no complaints & majority of my tour were pretty girls whom also had no issues. your in a under-developed tropical island. Your there to experience a difference. & 70% of the accommodation was just like back home 3-4 star hotel! Transport & Meals were great. not a fault, & plenty included!
ITINERARY & OVERALL: Put simply: the Itinerary will allow you to do/see more then if you went without the tour company. Your doing the main attraction things + more off the path things that other travellers visiting wouldn't do, and also to a higher, better organised standard. If i had to find a negative i'd say you have to eventually include another island once the company grows. But overall, the negative complaints are just stupid, it was an epic time, & if it was [expletive removed in moderation] i would write it. But honestly it caters for the person who wants to chill & have their own time, the Instagram people will love it, the person who wants to see culture, the person who wants to party & see nightlife, the person who like adventure, the foodie lover & see all the awesome stuff you see on the internet & pictures you get to see on this tour. The value for 10 days is 100% worth it. Dont question it, as you get so much including a responsibility free experience.

What a fulfilling way to experience the Philippines, with a well-paced, leave no stone unturned, see it all trip around the beautiful island of Palawan. A special thank you to Milly, who is the embodiment of everything OneLife represents, she was passionate and enthusiastic about the Philippines, giving where she can back to the locals and by watching her appreciate the experience so much even though she had done it many times before it really made the whole group feel so much more connected to the island life :) Milly was invested in everybody on our tour as individuals, going above and beyond to ensure everybody was having the best possible experience they could on the tour and getting to know everybody on a personal level, and that really enhanced the entire experience. What I love about the tour is that everything is perfectly organized from the moment you land. From the airport pickup, transfers between the islands, accommodations to the activities. You won’t have a single worry when you’re on tour.
The itinerary is amazing. The combination between experiencing the culture of the Philippines and the time you spend on the amazing beaches and in the stunning clear blue water is perfect.
We also had a great group. It’s so cool to see how a group of people from all over the world come together as strangers and leave as friends after 10 days of traveling.
Our tourguide, Milly was such a cool person! Easy to talk to, someone who makes you feel very comfortable, extremely accommodating and lets not forget, hilarious and always in for a good laugh!
Visiting the Philippines with One Life Adventures was certainly an experience to remember, and one I would recommend to literally everyone.

Milly’s local knowledge was next to none and everywhere we went she was known as was OneLife which is such a comfort and a home away from home feeling which I believe is really why people buy into the tour in the first place. You can tell she really amerced herself in the Phillipines to make the tour authentic.
She even helped us with onwards travel after we decided that we didn’t want to stay in the Philpinnes without onelife as it’s inevitably feel disappointing.
If you’re still considering it to do a tour or not, just book it and you’ll see why when you arrive.

Everything possible was taken care of with amazing value for money. There was not one thing that didn’t go to plan. Having done lots of pre booked day trips before this is worlds apart. You are in the comfort of your own group, you can stay in the destinations as long as you like and the schedule works around you rather than being crammed into buses with tight time frames. You can see how much they put their heart and soul into the company and the destinations they visit, everywhere we went people welcomed one life with open arms. They have done so much to help develop the areas they go to and it really shows. Especially Milly, she puts her heart into everything and is constantly looking out for everyone whilst being the best and most hilarious tour guide I’ve ever had, she made the trip. You can tell how much she loves one life and that shows in every tour, one of the most genuinely kind hearted people you will ever meet.
We would never have been able to see all the places we saw in 10 days without their help, so much so we decided not to stay on in the Phillipines as we felt we had experienced so much with one life anything we did by ourselves could not compare.
An unbelievable experience which I cannot recommend highly enough.

One life 10 day tour has been absolutely amazing and has exceeded any expectations I had, everything was taken care of from the second I got off the plane until the second I got back on to go home. It was such peace of mind knowing that you didn’t have to worry about anything and that everything from transportation to food was sorted for you!! Huge shout out to Milly who was such an amazing guide! She has got to be one of the most down to earth people who always made everyone feel part of the family. She was extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of the tour and constantly making sure everyone was okay. You can tell she loves her job which makes the experience that much better.

Milly exceeded expectations and not only was a great tour guide but a great friend to each and every one of us. She went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and happy. The trip itself was perfectly planned out and the itinerary had just the right amount of time in each place for us to get a taste of the Philippines. I’ve never gone on a tour that had so many inclusions! They give so much back to the local community and aren’t so commercialised like other big brands. I’ll definitely be booking with OneLife in the future and only hope they keep on growing.

The tour was so well organised and felt like it really gave me a chance to make the most of my time in the Philippines. It was great to have a variety of accommodation and meals while we were there. The variety of meals were all delicious and allergies were very well catered for. The itinerary included the main highlights of the Philippians and felt very busy and that we were making the most of the time we had. I also like that this tour offers a different experience for example the jail tour. So much is included and ive hardly had to spend any extra money. All of the accommodation was very impressive and clean, including the facilities when we were camping on the beach.
Our guide (Milly) was incredibly helpful and fun, and it has been a pleasure to get to know her more and more as the tour has gone on.
I was also very impressed by the ONE LIFE ethics, making sure they give back to the community and encourage sustainable tourism.
Overall, I have had the most incredible and life-changing experience thanks to ONE LIFE and I am excited to try their other tours in the future!

I saw more of the philippines and hotspots with One Life than I did exploring on my own, the experiences are unique and definitely cannot be experienced when travelling alone as the love the locals have for One Life is unexplainable. The tour itself was incredible from start to end! All our included meals were just delicious, and when food wasn`t included our guide Milly always knew the best places to take us! Our accommodation was also great, the rooms were nice and clean. The camping experience and island hopping around Port Barton is an experience I`ll never forget, it was just beautiful and very off the beaten track! The campsite was incredible, more glamping than camping! It`s hard to describe the entire trip and pick a highlight, but I loved how during the entire trip sustainable tourism and trying to make an impact and help support local communities was a focus, and Milly kept talking about the importance of mindful tourism, and also initiated beach cleanups during the trip. Our guide Milly was incredible, she took really good care of the entire group, and made sure she got to know everyone, and you could tell how much she loves her job, and cares about the Philippines, and was always in a good mood! If you want to travel to the Philippines One Life is the best way to see the less touristy side of the country!

The places we ate as well were so good! I especially loved the first night in Puerto Princessa where we got to choose what seafood we wanted and it was cooked right there! there were also options for vegos and those that dont eat seafood. Travelling solo, I booked the tour looking to meet people and have the hassle of travelling taken care of. I have to say I was blown away by the standard of this tour from day 1! Everything was planned and executed perfectly - we knew what was happening each day yet there was still ample time to chill out and explore by yourself if you wanted to. Onelife are highly regarded by the local communities meaning you get access to unseen tourist places such as camping on private islands, connections within an open prison and more than warm welcomes at many bars and restaurants (did someone say free shots...) This was my first time to the Philippines and the trip showed off its wonders brilliantly, from partying on a rooftop in Manila to swimming with turtles in pristine blue waters in Port Barton to Zip-lining between islands in El Nido, you really get a taste of this amazing island country! The trip was made even better by having Milly as our guide who blew each one of us away by her humour, kindness and attentive yet chilled out attitude. I could write a separate review just for her! She was in control the whole time yet felt like one of the group, exactly how it should be so thanks again Milly, you’re a credit to this company and really made this trip an unforgettable and once in a lifetime experience! I would 100% recommend to all!

I wish I had the full itinerary experience, but for everything it was, it was great. Milly is very personable, quirky with a great sense of humour and has a way of mixing everyone together (people who are VERY different). She was a big reason the trip was as good as it was. Accommodation on the trip was excellent, couldn’t fault it. All were in great locations, clean, and comfortable. The accomodation in Manila has super friendly staff that provides me with blankets and looked after me when I felt ill. They get an extra shout out. The Iwahig experienced rocked me to the core, in the best way possible. It provided a raw inside look to what many of us privileged folks are protected from and don’t even think about, the scary life that exists in some countries, but reminded me also of the vital importance of perspective in what most would label the crummiest of situations. This trip for me was everything I needed it to be, raw, fun, liberating, challenging, and full of culture. The weather was unfortunate, but also provided an in-depth look at what locals experience annually.

Guide - Milly - Absolutely Fantastic Human Being... Great Co-ordinator / Manager... Best Friend... Easy to Approach... Always Helpful... and the Most Important, though being very Professional, but still Always Participating and Available at an Arm's Distance... Making My Trip Feel More As A Family & Friends Trip... rather a Trip with a bunch of strangers with some Travel Company.

We fitted so much into 10 days in Palawan, saw the most beautiful views, met amazing people - especially the kids at the school - and now have the best stories to tell. I think the tour is perfect for everyone and would definitely recommend. I was concerned about the food but the freshly cooked meals on the beaches were unreal. The accommodation exceeded my expectations. The day trips and activities were so fun. We had the best group and made friends for life. What an experience! I just want to take this opportunity to thank Milly. I had some bad luck on this trip but she supported me the whole time and did what she could to make me comfortable. I admire her positivity, drive and pure love for everyone and everything. Milly, and One Life’s passion for the planet made the trip that bit more special. I don't normally do tours but this is by far the best way to see Palawan & I couldn't recommend it to travellers more. So many amazing inclusions that you don't often get on tours like an airport pick-up on arrival to an hour massage on the last day! We did so many incredible experiences (also all included) & the highlights would have to be the overnight beach camp, island hopping, the Philippine Experience in a local village & the El Nido party boat! We ventured off the beaten tracks at time, mingle with locals & got to see/experience the real Filipino way off life.
What the crew at One Life are doing for the local communities is so inspiring. I have never come across a company where everyone who works for them is so so passionate about what they are doing & sustainable tourism. It's so great to see! Do this tour, it really is life changing & you will have the best time.

It was a pleasure to have Milly and Rose guiding us - They're consummate pros who were more like travel buddies and made everything look easy. It was great to see some of the local investment initiatives in action too.
Now is a really great time to visit El Nido, before it is 'discovered' by the masses!

Although the weather wasn’t the best Milly would always ensure we had something bloody awesome that we could do and would change plans to best suit around the weather. I felt so safe throughout the whole trip and the accommodation we stayed at was really good. Being able to spend a night on a private island was unreal! I feel super lucky that I got to tour around with such amazing people and experience so many things in such a short 10 days. I would recommend One Life Adventures to anyone and I can not wait to try their other tours on offer in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

One Life Adventures is unlike any guided tour I’ve done before. From the included activities to the knowledge of our guide, Milly, I couldn’t have asked for a better tour! What stood out to me the most, was the response from the communities we visited. When most tour companies sweep through a town/city/village, they take take take and the reaction from locals is generally negative. It was completely different with this company. They do so much for the communities that you visit, that we are all welcomed and celebrated for visiting. It is the most incredible feeling! Considering 5 star transport and accommodation can be hard to come by in the Philippines, One Life does an awesome job at finding the best options for us.
While there were many incredible experiences to choose from, I absolutely loved visiting the prison, meeting the adorable kids and spending a night on the island camping. It was perfection!

1.) Itinerary. Very varied and clearly well thought out. From speakeasys in Manila, dancing murderers in Puerto Princesa, learning weird local customs and all day drinking amongst the most beautiful islands in the world. Despite some nightmare weather conditions, it still worked very well. If when you go the weather is better it would be a dream.
2.) Tour leader. Milly is an absolute gem. She held a diverse bunch of people together to create a fun and inclusive experience. Always willing to have fun, bring people out of their shells and adapt to difficult circumstances.
Top tip. If you ever meet Milly ask about her near death shower experience.

As a few of the other reviews have mentioned we were unfortunately affected by a typhoon which meant we couldn’t complete the set itinerary but Milly was absolutely incredible and found ways to keep us entertained over those days! We had a great group of people which added to the experience but it really is a testiment to Milly that we all had such a great time. I have come away from this experience with some fantastic memories, a love for the Philippines and a new group of friends! Book One Life!

Hands down the best tour I’ve ever been on from a company that are going big places despite their relative infancy. The whole experience from the initial booking through to the final trike trip to El Nido airport was handled with aplomb by One Life. Better yet you can tell that they’re passionate about giving as much back to the community as possible through their initiatives such as the school visit, sponsoring a local basketball team and sustainable water bottles. Undoubtedly leagues ahead of G/Intrepid etc.
Milly, our guide, is a legend and throughout it felt as though you were travelling with a mate rather than a tour leader. No question was too stupid and her recommendations were on point every time. Falafel wraps have never tasted so good!
Similarly the itinerary was equally excellent with a sweet mix of chilled out beach scenes, cultural interactions and time to do just do your own thing and get lost in Filipino culture. Even a tropical depression couldn’t dampen our spirits and the alternative plans that had to be made instead were probably just as much fun as the advertised activities! The accommodation was also awesome with even the hostels being easily up there with some of the best in the world.
Anyway, stop reading and jump on a trip. You won’t regret it.

Throughout the trip, I felt like I was making a difference to the lives of many people in the region. The impact that One Life is making to many individuals across the Philippines is evident through the love they have for Milly and the rest of us traveling with One Life.
A huge highlight of the trip was visiting the Prison and interacting with some of the inmates. To see the smile on the inmates faces when they see Milly and the new people with One Life was amazing. Tears swelled in everyones eyes when the inmates in maximum security sat on the floor at the front gate with a guitar and we had a Christmas Carol sing-a-long. The accommodation that we have stayed at throughout the trip was clean and in great locations, the One Life staff have really thought about the best places to stay and everywhere is really clean and well kept. The variety of accommodation types was great and it was enjoyable to go between hotels, hostels and camping.
The love that Milly has for One Life Adventures is contagious! She lives and breathes One Life and promotes supporting local businesses and sustaining the environment. She is a natural leader and shares her love of traveling with the rest of her group. Her desire to offer the best experience possible to her travelers was evident when the weather limited us from some of the planned activities and she went above and beyond to organise alternative activities.
I have found this trip to be amazing value for money and it is great to see the money going back into the communities. To see the difference One Life Adventures is making to so many individuals across the Philippines is incredible. I am so glad to have become a part of the One Life Adventures family and I can't wait to see the amazing things that this company achieves. But that nervousness disappeared 10 minutes after arriving. Our guides (Millie and Rose) where amazing at “gluing the people together”, so, during the tour, we went from strangers to friends, to almost family!
About the tour itself: very easy to describe: AMAZING! A perfect mixture of (b-e-a-utiful & untouched) nature, culture and party. Island-hopping, sleeping on an ‘Cast Away’-Island, doing the cultural experience, visiting a school, a prison, Partying on ‘le boat’, ziplining…Piece by piece fantastic activities!
Another major plus is the fact that you really notice (and even participate) that One Life gives so much back to the community and thinks about the environmental impact..
So, in short, a company with a beautiful heart, that organizes beautiful tours, what more do you want? :-)
If I MUST say one negative thing: It was so awesome that missing my new friends and the wonderful country is not easy! :-)

You hope that your expectations are met and to have them exceeded is the dream. The past 10 days with One Life for me have been the dream. There are so many reasons why the tour exceeded my expectations, too many to put into words, but I'm going to try. One of the reasons is that so many of the adventures and activities we did, I could never of experienced as a solo traveller and am so grateful I got to do them. I don't think I could come to know and love the Philippines the way I do without having done them. Camping on a private island, hanging out at a school on a remote island and climbing a coconut tree are a couple of examples. Our guides Millie and Rose were passionate about the Philippines, and our safety and enjoyment were their main focus for the entire trip. It was the tone and energy they set from the beginning that allowed all 16 of us to quickly feel like a family and share an incredible 10 days together. 10 days that we will all look back and remember with big fat smiles on our faces. A special attribute of the One Life company is the culture they are creating around travelling. It was this culture and the values of kindness, love, growth and adventure that glued us all together and made the trip more than just a tour.

The guides, Rose & Milly, as well as the travellers on my trip, were all such amazing people with a great attitude. As one of the girls said to me, she wishes she can spend her whole year as happy as she has been this past week. I think that's a pretty great way to sum up the trip.

The places we stayed were quite varied from beautiful to pretty basic in the more isolated areas of the Phillipines, which I really enjoyed as it felt like a more authentic experience. What really sets One Life aside from the other tours on offer to me was the passion of the organisation as a whole, ensuring that our trip was not only beneficial to us, but gave back to the local community. Our tour guide Milly - wow. she was incredible, always bubbly and enthusiastic ensuring that everyone was having an amazing time. I cannot recommend this tour enough :)

Milly was our tour guide for the trip and I could not fault her. She made sure our questions were never left unanswered and all our needs were met. She was the life and soul and made sure there was never a dull moment and I am VERY grateful for everything she did for our group, we love Milly.

Our One Life tour guide Milly was excellent in arranging everything from transport to dinner reservations in advance, which i appreciate even more now i know the meaning of “Philippino time”. Milly felt like one of the group and went out of her way to take care of everyone.
The tour offers a good mix of activities (visiting a local prison with singing and dancing inmates, island hopping, snorkelling, drinking, kayaking etc) with the majority being included in the price of the trip! Overall an amazing trip with a great bunch of people. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

She makes organizing everything and everyone look so effortless, while making sure everyone is having the best time. The island camping (although raining while we were there) is unmissable, and El Nido is so much fun with stunning sights, but the best part by far was the boat party! I love that One Life is all about using local businesses and giving back to the community and not big corporations. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone and I can't wait to book on to the Sri Lanka tour when Milly is there.

We had limited time and knew that our tour would allow us to fit in a lot of activities in such a short space of time. We heard about the company from friends who gave it high praises for being fun and very reasonably priced. From the start our tour guides: Adam, Hugo and Milly were so helpful and fantastic about giving advice regarding flights, activities and filling us in about the Filipino culture. We were amazed with how great all of the private transfers and hotels/hostels were in all of the locations we visited- Manila, Puerto Princesa, Port Barton and El Nido. In a stressful city such as Manila, haggling with the taxi drivers is a bit tricky so we were very thankful! A few of the highlights that we experienced were a one night stay on a private island, a visit to one of the Filipino prisons, learning how to climb a coconut tree, zip lining in El Nido and definitely the island hopping party boat! Our tour guides also suggested adding on a trip to Cebu to swim with the Whale sharks and go canyoneering through the Kawasan waterfalls. We would highly recommend this! Not only were the activities amazing throughout the whole trip, the people we met in our tour group made sure that there were plenty of laughs and hilarious moments. We couldn't fault the whole tour!

What stood out to me was also how caring she was of the needs of each individual on the trip. The accommodation was so varied from camping on the beach to really fancy hotel rooms. The tour is put together really well and you get to see so much of the philippines in just 10 days from mountains to beautiful white beaches, ziplining, partying and not just visiting the country but also experiencing the Philippine way of life which was definitely a highlight! The tour would not be the same without our tour guide/mother/nurse Milly Tamati... She made the tour just that much better... organizing all our trips and making booking without us even realising it, Milly without a doubt made my tour memorable!
I chose the one life tour unsure of what to expect along with other trips/ tours in south east Asia, the one life Philippines tour is my third out of 4 booked tours, and I must say by far.... this tou…I chose the one life tour unsure of what to expect along with other trips/ tours in south east Asia, the one life Philippines tour is my third out of 4 booked tours, and I must say by far.... this tour tops every expectation I had and more, being a novice traveler/backpacker I decided after speaking to many people that a tour would be best to suit what wanted out of my trip. turning 30 in this coming December and being registered disabled I was unsure if I was too old and maybe feel a little not one of the group, I can assure you this was not the case at all, from the moment I arrived at Z hostel I was booked in and made my way to my room, upon arrival I met Adam who I later found out he was to become one life newest tour guide, top guy I must say and told me a few details over a drink on the roof top bar. the following day I met the rest of the group and within 24-48 hours realised this tour was gonna be great and I was not disapointed. Every single activity, hostel, activity and meal has been so much more than I expected, the tour guide Milly made everyone welcome and always around to help and answer any questions we had, she also went above and beyond trying to make some of the longer catch journeys feel less long with games, jokes and stories along with other facts and history of the philipines, she felt more like one of the group more than the guide. I tend not to read the itenery of the tour as I like to just get up in a morning and embrace the day as in comes. no matter what the activity or trip was of the day I was helped and made to feel part of the group every second, at times especially walking/ climbing parts I was worried I would hold the group up or be left behind, this was not the case everyone stayed together and the laughing and joking and stories made the time disappear and i suceeded in things i didnt think I would, and i feel I have a different out look on my self as a person ans my life back in the uk and one life have played a big part in this. After reading other reviews people pick out best bits and things but for me I can't do that because the trip as a whole has been the best experince for me and i thank one life adventures, millie, adam and the whole group of "new life time friends" for memories and experiences that will stay with me forever, and I will be following the company on social media because I can't wait to see what it holds and what new trips maybe come available because I know this for sure will not be my only tour with this fantastic company.

Milly our tour guide made an Facebook group with basic information which she updated as the start date got closer.
I flew to Manila and even though I arrived in the middle of the night Milly had organized transport to the Hostel which was paid for. It can be daunting for some people to arrive in a new country with a strange culture. Not knowing what to do, where to go and how to deal with the locals. Nothing to worry about with One Life. everything was taken care of from start to finish. Giving freedom to the more seazoned travelers and providing appropriate guidance to the novice explorers.
the first night was reserved for getting to know the rest of the group before the tour really took off. we flew to Puerto Prinscesa in Palawan to be blow away by our first accommodation. Canvas Boutique hotel was the bees knees. Stylish, clean, comfortable with an amazing pool. what a way to start! I won't go in to detail to much about the rest of the tour, cause you really need to experience it yourself and be blown away at every stop, every new experience by novelty, incredible beauty, the hospitality of the Philippino people, the fun with the group and the tireless energy and professionalism of our guide Milly Tamati.
The highlights for me, which are almost too many to list, were the visit to the Iwahig prison (with the dancing inmates), camping overnight on our private tropical island, visiting the local school at port Barton, the remoteness of port Barton, the natural beauty of Palawan and especially El Nido, which is the epitome of tropical paradise.
But above all I enjoyed the fun with the group, knowing that some life long friendships have come from this Philippine adventure. Major cudos to One Life Adventures and Milly Tamati for making this a once in a life time experience. I'll be looking into other destinations that One Life has to offer feeling confident that it will be nothing less than incredible.

The tour was extremely well organised, Milly, our guide, was extremely friendly and informative. We had a mixture of fun activities and down time where you really got the chance to take it all in (the scenery etc).
The Philippines is a beautiful country, one which I would highly recommend to everyone and there's not better way to do it than with One Life.

With Busabout, I cannot rate them high enough, the trip was very organised, the accomendation and transport was great (air con plus wifi!!) plus our tour guide, Milly was the cherry on top. She's just a breath of fresh air, who loves her job. She brings a smile to people's faces.
Go pick Vietnam with Busabout, it'll be one of the best decisions you'll make. If you get Milly as your tour guide, you'll be in for a treat!

If you want someone to wake you up with a joke, laugh and a smile Milly is your guide. Never a dull moment on the whole trip. Accomdation blew my expection with the quality but feel like it should be noted that we are staying in hotels and not more rugged places/homestay places. Never the less it was fantastic and hands down to Milly for being a role model for all of us with all her travelling experiences and her leadership skills, couldn't thank her enough!

As if Palawan and El Nido is not tempting enough it self, Onelife takes you to the best places. Beatiful islands with white sand and crystal clear waters, perfect for snorkeling.
Our tourguide Milly, ended up being so much more than "just a tour guide". She was a cool friend and sometimes a "mom" for the group. She was ALWAYS there for us, no matter what time of day or night. And in addition to that, this girl is so full of energy, and positivity that she could probably get us hyped up over a stick!
I just want to thank Onelife and Milly for the best trip, that I will remeber for the rest of my life!

The activities are well thought out and planned by one life. Our tour guide (Milly) was a ledge who made everyday fun even during the parts which may be less enjoyable like travelling from one activity / place to another. There's many things in the itinerary which you would or could never do if travelling by yourself including visiting amazing beaches of the beaten track to a open prison where we sung songs with prisoners, many who have been given life sentences. Snorkling with sea turtles and the el nido boat party were other personal highlights of the trip. The only disappointment for me was not being able to visit the underground river due to the terror threat but the reasons for one life to cancel are more than understandable as safety has to be their priority even if the treat may not deter most tourists. However the alternative activities organised were awesome and we had a great day anyway. Overall it was the best tour I've been on and can't recommend it enough. In fact I was so impressed with one life I also booked the add on to Cebu to swim with whale sharks with a few other members from our awesome group which was also an amazing experience.

The jail visit singing songs on guitar with the inmates was touching and a once in a lifetime experience.
I would recommend this tour to everyone who is going to the Philippines. They can take you to places off the beaten track, making you always feel safe, plenty of interesting activities, well planned transportation, best accommodation in the area! A must do!

I booked the tour with One Life because the itinery covered the type of activities I was interested in, such as Snorkelling & Island Hopping. This didn't disappoint as we were taken to the most beauti…I booked the tour with One Life because the itinery covered the type of activities I was interested in, such as Snorkelling & Island Hopping. This didn't disappoint as we were taken to the most beautiful beaches and snorkelling reefs, often away from the popular spots visited by other tour groups. Spending the day with our group on the boat, with music playing and cold drinks, jumping in and out of the water was exactly what I wanted from this trip. The highlight of my trip would be the night we camped near Port Barton as we had the whole beach to ourselves and walked straight from our tents on to the beach. It was a very remote venue and not visited by many backpackers, which made it even more special.
I enjoyed seeing different areas of Palawan and each place had something slighlty different to offer. I liked that we weren't rushed from one place to the next so had time to see each place properly. Travelling from each place also worked well as we were never travelling for more than 3 hours (with breaks) and had a comfy, air conditioned bus. This meant that no day was taken up purely on travelling and so each day had at least one main activity.
The tour started in Manila with a welcome dinner which was a great way to meet the rest of the group in a relaxed setting before heading down to Palawan. Throughout the whole trip we had a high standard of food and it was always made clear which meals were included. Each day 1-2 meals were included, except when we were camping and so every meal was included. More the meals not included, Milly gave different recommendations with a variety of price levels so everyone could find something suited to them.
Our guide, Milly, made the trip. She was constantly on hand to help with any issues we had and brought such energy to the whole group. She made sure everyone was catered for and brought the group together. She knew each area well so had recommendations for different activities and restaurants when we had free time which was extremely useful. Milly is very passionate about her work, which was evident every day we spent together.
Overall, I had an amazing time and genuinely enjoyed every day of the tour. The Philippines is such a beautiful place and it was amazing to experience it with a tour company that had clearly picked out each activity carefully to show the best spots and be around guides that love the area themselves.

I think organizing the transportation on your own is a hazzle, but One Life organized all transportations very well and also the accomodation exceeded my expectations (cool hostels and hotels and one life a really nice camping on a secret island).
The group was also very cool, we had so much fun together, especially at the boat tours.
Most impresse within the 10 days (besides the beach) was probably visiting a prision. It is a open prision and we could actually talk to prisioners, asking about their life and why they ended up in prision, really impressive (and not dangerous at all).
I was travelling alone, and going to the Philippines and joining the tour was the best decision. Thank you One Life and especiallz Milly.

The tour is very relaxed and can be taken at your own pace, we had such an amazing group which was great as everyone got on well which allowed everything we did to run with ease. This tour definitely allows you to go to places you would not normally go in the Philippines if you were alone and I 100% felt safe during the entirety of the trip which was obviously a worry before going. Island hoping was a highlight of mine, such beautiful places and exactly why you go to the Philippines, also the cultural day was great fun! The only let down for the tour for me personally was the underground river, unfortunately due to a terroist threat at the time we could not attend which was obviously understandable, however I think the decision to do an alternative activity rather than going to the beach with drinks could have been better. If you're thinking of going on this trip I'd highly recommend it!

train ride to Ella was by far my favourite part but the people on my tour really made it special, the landscape and culture through Sri Lanka is amazing and if you're a food person than what else are you waiting for. can't wait to go back one day and highly recommend this tour to others.

I like it that the tour doens't rush to let you go to as much places as possible, but instead just sticks to one region and does this very well and relaxed. We went to some places where I wouldn't have gone myself, like the Iwahig prison in Puerto Princessa, where you can walk around and talk with the inmates as well. This makes the tour a bit extra special.
The accomodation is very good througout the entire tour, with the hotel in Puerto Princessa and the beachfront tents in specific!
The food we had was aboslutely amazing! Eventhough the local food is very basic, it's really tasty and well prepared and the meals we got were always something to look forward to :).
The only things that bothered me a bit; Due to a terrorist threat at the underground river our trip there was cancelled. More then fair enough, but we only found out that we werent going there after booking the tour, and while this is one of the main attractions from the tour we were a bit disappointed. The replacement didn't go through either and after talking about this with the owners there didn't seem to be another solution then just letting this go and go out for diner instead. We felt like this didn't make up for one of the main things of the tour.
Next to that, I believe that for the amount of money you pay for the tour, actually all meals except for maybe a 2 or 3 should be included, whereas you basically still pay for your own diner every evening. But, these are definitely not reasons to not go on this tour!
Our tour guide Milly did an amaaazing job in informing us and guiding us! She's very much fun, always keen for a chat and will go out of her way to make your one life trip the best trip you've every had! She became very sick a day or two before the tour started but she pushed through because she really wanted to come with us on the trip, massive thumbs up!!

Both prior to and during the trip the staff were more than happy to help out and answer questions.
The format of the tour is great, as there are only a couple of locations you stay at, it doesn't feel rushed and you have the opportunity to see a fair amount of both Port Barton and El Nido, it is also great to have a relatively small group, with only 16 people on our tour it feels like you get the opportunity to get to know everyone. I feel that some people may find that you are left to your own devices a little too much at times, with free afternoons (i.e. no organised trips / activities) however found it good to have the chance to relax or go and explore by yourself.
Best experiences on the trip were the overnight island hopping around Port Barton (which fell on the birthday of one of the girl's) and the boat party was a lot of fun (coming from someone who isn't a huge party person).
Couple of drawbacks from the trip is that due to risk to tourists (at the time) we didn't go to the underground river, also as we were getting late in the season (end of May / start of June) we had some rain in the afternoon of approx. half the days.
Milly our tour guide was good fun and genuinely interested in ensuring that you have a good time, she pushed through being really unwell at the start of the trip to pull of a great tour.

It was so cool seeing Port Barton and going off the beaten path, and island hopping was a fun experience. The hostel in El Nido was great and Milly picked great restaurants and activities. The Philippines culture day was a great look into regular life. When plans changed because of situations out of Milly's control there was always a great substitute and Milly did an awesome job making sure everything was running smoothly and people were happy. The group was great, a perfect mix of fun and chill and everyone was very funny. Milly was good about telling us which nights to go big, and which to take it easy so we werent hungover for the next day. Overall incredible experience and I would definitely book a One Life tour again!

The beaches we visited were absolutely stunning and so was the accommodation. Even the beach cottages with cold showers and fan only were a good experience:) I loved the island hopping, the stayover in the deluxe tents directly at the beach and the food OMG can't get enough of that delicious pork, fish and the veggies, so yummi :)

The itinerary for the tour was a great mixture of fun activities, learning about Filipino culture, but also with some relaxation time too. The Philippines is a beautiful country and the tour definitely takes us to some amazing places. Milly was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and always kept us informed about what to expect and what we were doing on each part of the trip. What an amazing 10 days! It honestly felt like so much longer than that, as we managed to squeeze in so much stuff and had the most awesome group. Hard to choose one highlight, but the boat tour in El Nido was truly one of the best days I've had in a year of backpacking. Camping on the island in Port Barton was also an incredible experience. Huge thanks to our guides, Milly and Hugo. I honestly don't have a bad word to say about Milly, she was amazing from the first day of the tour to the last. Always full of energy and made sure everyone was always having a great time, while also dealing with any problems or issues too. Didn't see much of Hugo for first few days due to illness, but he was great too - always in high spirits and a really cool guy. Also I have to give them both huge thanks for looking after me after I had a nasty motorcycle accident. They got me to the clinic and helped me get through a pretty tough few hours. Really can't thank them enough for that - going above and beyond the call of duty.

Most days were well thought out and the pace was great even for a slow traveller like myself. I felt the guides Joe and Milly were very accomodating and helped us get some private rooms. The food was good most days, however a little bit more of a variety would have been nice in the included meals. I am so over rice and chicken!
The only flaw that I could suggest that would further improve the experience is we didnt like the Hostel "Elsa''s Place"". We found the conditions we'rent very good compared to others, including cleanliness and normal necessities such as a proper shower.
Overall it has been a great positive experience, that I would highly recommend to family and friends. I have made new friends and everlasting memories!

However the success of any tour is the people and I believe our tour was made up of awesome people who were so blessed to have Milly as our tour guide. The title of tour guide sounds so formal, I thought of Milly more like a leader who led us to activities and took the tedious part of an adventure away, leaving us with the experiences and fun parts!
I have been on guided tours before and I was very reluctant to book another one, however Milly (and Busabout) have completely changed my view of what a tour can be. Milly has this amazing ability to connect to absolutely everybody and find something special about each person in a group. She has patience like you'd never believe, which she demonstrated by staying super kind even when asked the same question possibly 45 times in the space of 24 hours!! Milly was able to spoon-feed those who needed it, but let those who wanted to plan their own things do as they wish. She respected everybody's different ideas, beliefs, choices, attitudes - everything! Milly was able to modify things to suit the group and we were never pressured to do something we did not want to do. I am somebody who likes to have a few big nights but value my days to experience culture- whatever a town has to offer, and a lot of our group was the same. Milly was able to go out and have an awesome night, but was just as happy to have a quiet dinner and drinks as a little tour family.
Busabout is lucky to have an employee like Milly. Her personable qualities are admirable and make me want to be a kinder person too!! If you read this Mil, thank you for being absolutely amazing. While Vietnam is an amazing country, you made the experience what it was! We all absolutely love you! Jess xx

Milly, my busabout tour guide had such a gracious manner, she made me feel warm and welcome from get go. Her ability to keep the high energy, excitement and fun on the tour just amazed me. It was extremely hard to leave the tour because Milly built such a strong bond between us all and looked after us like we were her family. Whenever and whatever we needed, she did everything in her power to get it, or fix it. I am missing Milly's morning jokes on the bus and her genuine care of the tour group! Words cannot truely express the appreciation and gratefulness I have for Milly after the trip. Brilliant adventure, spot on extra activities, brilliant food choices, quintessential guide.... I am completely satisfied with my experience of Vietnam

Unfortunately I was really sick for a good half of the trip but Milly was so accommodating and caring and even took me to the doctors and waited with me and bought me food and flowers when I was too sick to leave the hotel. Despite being sick I still had a great time on this trip and made so many amazing memories. I would 100% recommend it to anyone.

Let's just say we weren't disappointed. The tour was really flexable and Milly gave us a heap of information on things to do and see at each location. She even booked in the activities that we wanted to do and organised transfers for us. I felt like we were really able to make the most of our holiday without actually being locked in to commitments that we didn't want to do. We didn't stay in any of the recommended accomodation as they were mostly backpackers and we wanted to last out a little and stay in hotels a little more fancy. However this was not an issue as we were located fairly close and mainly met up at restaurants anyway. We met up with the group daily for dinner which was fun to talk about the day and plan the next, as well as get some tips and a bit of Thailand cultural background info from Milly. Milly was more of a friend then a tour guide and came along with us to some of the activities and even had a few drinks with us at night (wouldn't recommend the buckets unless you want a killer hangover but funny story to tell). I loved every bit about the busabout tour as we felt so much more comfortable about travelling to a different country and were able to do so much more then if we were travelling alone! It's also a fun way to meet new people who will soon be your family once the tour begins.

Milly went above and beyond for us in so many ways as a tour guide. Her knowledge and experience was endless, along with her zest for life which gave our group so much energy.
Busabout exceeded all my expectations of a tour, and I am very grateful for this experience and the friends I have made.

No matter the ages differences or dynamic personalities of the group, Milly always tried her best to make sure we were all having the best time possible. In her success, our Vietnam Adventure trip was more enjoyable, eventful, and emotional than I had ever imagined. Busabout definitely didn't disappoint, and will always be my first choice.

1) The transportation on the bus was difficult to bear. I know that several of us were quite uncomfortable given the lack of seat/leg space. The driving was also more rough and aggressive than needed to be which caused some of u to get car sick from time to time.
2) The itinerary schedule felt a bit too rushed in some areas. While it was great to fit in so many great sights, the balance could be modified in some areas like Kandy and to allow some additional opportunities for self exploration.
3) Additionally on that topic, in comparison to other tours that I have been on through Intrepid and G Adventures, this style felt much more on doing everything as a group. This may be desirable for some travelers, but it was a noticeable contrast that one should be aware of when doing One Life travel.
4) accommodation was on a pretty high level being in quite good hotel most of the time but cleanliness could be improved. Maybe this is where Sri lanka is different from south east Asia.
5) I pretty much enjoyed not to have to carry my big bag at any time and in general no matter the need or question there was always a guide ready to help, day and night.
