I've done a few contiki tours before and this was by far the best experience I think mainly because of our guides. The trip around the Greek islands was better than i was expecting. Stasi was a great tour guide and on numerous occasions he dropped what he was doing just to help out or show us where we wanted to go…The trip around the Greek islands was better than i was expecting. Stasi was such an awesome tour guide. He was really knowledgeable and down to earth and made the effort to get know evey single person on the tour. He was really good at recommending different activities for us to do in our free time, and his food suggestions were always well received! The tour was well organised and the accommodation was very nice. I'm glad I had Stasi to take me around my first time in Greece. Ios was probably my favourite of the islands!

Having been on many tours in the past, Stasi was h…This past summer my friends and I traveled to Greece for Contiki’s Greek Island Hopping tour. After arriving in Athens, we met our tour guide, Stasi. Having been on many tours in the past, Stasi was hands down the best tour guide I have ever had. He’s was very knowledgeable of all the islands we visited as well as the country of Greece as a whole. My favorite part of the trip was the beach hopping excursion in Mykonos. This was where my friends and I had the opportunity to really get to know Stasi. After he was entertained by me helping my friend apply sun tan oil, we got to know how passionate he is about traveling and making sure everyone on his tours have a memorable time. He was also kind enough to watch all our beach bags and belongings while we went and used the various water toys the beach had to offer. Another great memory I have of the trip was when we climbed the volcano in Santorini. Stasi was in shock by how I was able to keep my white shoes so clean after walking on the black, dusty lava rocks that made up the volcano. On the last night of the trip, he gave a wonderful speech thanking everyone for coming on the trip. After his kind words he decided to let me stand up and thank everyone for the amazing trip we had. Having been on this tour with Stasi, there is not a day that goes by where I don’t think about the amazing experience I had. It’s all thanks to Stasi’s hard work he put in to make the tour an amazing, unforgettable adventure for everyone!

They are very insightful and knowledgable, providing you with all the tips of the trade for Greece. They also tell the Greek mythology stories in a very creative manner, let you know the best spots to go and hang out, recommend some delicious places to go and eat, and aren't afraid to let loose and have a load of fun with you, making for some very memorable and hilarious nights.

We toured many of the islands and if you asked which I’d choose I’d be hard pressed to pick one- they all had their own unique charm.
But what made the trip super exciting, familiar and fun was our amazing tour guide Stasi - the best guide anyone can ask for. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable and the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. While most of the travellers in our group was quite a bit younger than my husband and we never felt older... that was all down to Stasi’s leadership.
I wouldn’t give a second thought about touring with this amazing young man.

Because we stayed longer on each island we had a few busabout guides however Stasi stood out as one of the best. He has the perfect balance of being responsible while still wanting everyone to have the best night they could. He also took the time to get to know every person individually on the tour which I thought was pretty cool. All round an awesome guy!

We did the Flexi option and although I wish I had done a fixed (so I didn’t have to say goodbye to my favourite group so soon) it was still incredibly enjoyable. The accomodation was mostly comfortable although there was a couple which I can happily say I never want to see again (I’m looking at you paradise beach). And ios, well ios was the highlight, just beautiful. The transport was great, buses were mostly well airconditioned and always on time. Stasi was the best tour guide we could ever have asked for, he was so knowledgeable and patient with 32 drunk 20 year olds. Nothing was a hassle for him, he helped us in every way he could with recommendations, advice and tips. He also made the tour fun and interesting in his own way, a book to write stories in, a rubber duck photo challenge, bar crawls that were hilariously fun, catered the plans to suit what we were feeling despite prior arrangement, and was overall a joy to be around. I would recommend stasi and busabout to all my friends and family, it has inspired me to come back next year and do some more!!! Thanks stasi!!

Luckily our experienced tour guide Stasi Nikos was able to keep ahead of the problems and as a result our trip proceeded seamlessly. By joining this group independently I was able to join the group when I wished and do my own thing when I did not.

He gave us lots of options and places to visit in our spare time and as he had everything so organised it was easy to relax and enjoy yourself. We visited the most beautiful places with the best views. Some of the highlights of my trip was relaxing on the beach in Mykonos at paradise beach, the very delicious gyros, the boat cruise between Paros and Anti-Paros which has the clearest water I have ever seen!, the spectacular views everywhere in Santorini, partying in Ios and having the day time to relax by the pool or beach at Far Out Beach Club. We had a great group of people touring with us which also made my greek island experience even better!

My Bus about experience was great! My girlfriend and I did the flexy package, so we chose our own accommodation. Stasi was a great guide and always kept us up to date on where to meet the group, our itinerary and always had time to listen if we had any questions. Also he was just a great guy! We found bus about gave us lots of oppurtunities for private time and group time. The balance between partying and exploring/chilling was great. We did however find a lot of the excursions a bit pricey so we skipped a few now and then.
One problem we had was in Ios. We stayed in the recommended accommodation of the far out beach club. We payed for a private room which was great. But upon arrival the rest of the fixed group were upgraded to the same rooms as us. In the mornings they recieved free breakfast but we were made to pay. We thought this was unfair seeing as we payed more, 6 other bus about members were in the same position.
But on a whole we had a fantastic experience with Stasi and the rest of the group.

At the time of our trip there were ferry strikes and our guide got us all on a replacement ferry each time we had to travel during these strikes. Accommodation was very easy to organise either choosing to stay at the recommended and booking through the Busabout website or organising some separate. very flexible tour with good amounts of time to do your own exploring and sight seeing. A list of additional costs for excursions would be beneficial for budgeting and planning however not essential.

The accommodation in Athens and Santorini was as expected as they were hostels. The one in Mykonos was terrible though, there was many mosquitos in the bathroom, it smelled very very bad and it was far from town and bus transportation doesn't come very often.
The tour was expected, it is predominantly designed for young party goers and heavy drinking. I did however enjoy the day trip on the boat and plate smashing dinner in paros.

Booking the holiday was (totally booked by the mrs haha) but I've been told that it was very easy to organise with both the organised tours and the free flow tours. Our tour was with the great Stasi doing the Greek island boat hopper. It was incredible we went to Mykonos Paros Santorini and Ios, every island was more beautiful than the next and Stasi made sure that we seen every inch that was worth seeing (in the time limit that is) but the option was always there to stay longer and meet up with the next guide if it's what you wanted to do. My personal favourite island has got to be Paros the relaxed atmosphere amazingly friendly locals even down to the verblly abusive bartender at the local shisha bar (Karen was actually super nice and I'd go back just to get caught in another hour of her lively humour and banter (just where your thick skin that day hahaha)) to me it was an island paradise and I could see my self settle there just to soak up those amazing island vibes. The other islands like Paros lacked for nothing. The party we had in Mykonos was an unforgettable experience and the views in Santorini are breathtaking and Ios well what can i say where else in the world has every possible bar you can imagine from fire flipping wonder boys to a woman who will give you a shot and slap you across the face with a hand covered in wet paint, Greek islands are the place to be! To me busabout had the right mix of party and chill with awesome excursions and by far the nicest guide I've ever met in my life. Don't get me wrong Stasi had to put up with a lot but played and joked with us as much as we did with him. i can't imagine how I could have had a better time in Greece but maybe when I come back Stasi can show us everything we just didn't have time to see. My advice for anyone and everyone considering this trip is to give everything you can into it but because if you hold back you might miss out on one of the thousand once in a lifetime experiences you will get travelling the Greek islands

Would 100% recommend to my friends to do, it's a perfect way to see the culture and learn about stuff you wouldn't have seen or learnt on your own. If your wanting to travel the Greek islands do it with busabout! Having optional extras is great and all of them are worth it, wish I had longer to stay on the Islands (you have the option to) overall fantastic trip and don't have a negative comment.

Good amount of time on each island and good utilisation of time- free time and planned activities. Stasi always had great recommendations for activities, restaurants and food, as well as gave us options of what we wanted to do for the day or night if there was no set plan. All round an unreal experience and memories which will last a lifetime. Stasi you're a legend! Thank you!!!

I enjoyed all of the recommended excursions and also liked how relaxed and knowledgable all the guides were!! I learnt a lot of cool information, made some great friends and had some crazy nights. My favourite island was Paros, it was very chill and less touristy. I would recommend travelling light and trying to stay as close as you can to the Busabout hostels. Highly recommended!

I did 2 nights in each island but some islands I could have definitely done with an extra night or two. I found it easier to stay at most of the recommended accommodation or if you can't get a spot there then try and find somewhere close by. Also, if you can afford it at some of the places try and go for the more expensive rooms cause they'll be worth the extra money.

From start to finish the tour flowed very well with the mamagment of our guide Stasi. Accommodation on the islands was great- location, price and the facilities were of a high standard. The already established friendship between the accommodation hosts and tour groups assisted us greatly and I found they were particularly helpful to us. Numerous times restaurants would identify us as people in a busabout tour and offer us free or discounted meals and drinks. One of the largest influences that made the tour such an experience was the people I was with. Everyone was extremely friendly and they created an awesome presence and atmosphere to the tour. Again, Stasi was extremely helpful- as I had to cut the tour short, his assistance in providing information on how to travel back to Athens was excellent. Furthermore his assistance being knowledge based or management was impeccable.

He was approachable and personable right off the bat, very social and always ready to help. We had many laughs and I can tell the group gravitated towards him. He is a people gatherer by nature and very resourceful which makes him an ideal tour guide. I have done many Busabout tours (10+) and I would jump back in with him anytime. Would like to add that it was evident he loved what he was doing and that is contagious for everyone crossing his path. Stasi for mayor!!

We didn't do all the recommended activities on the tour but our guide Stasi was very helpful in giving us other options of things to do on the island while he was on excursions with the rest of the group. Mykonos party scene was fantastic, Paros was very mellow and had an authentic feel. Santorini was stunning and the food at the first night restaurant was very good and great value. iOS was just crazy, party at night and chill on the beaches during the day. We did the tube rides and SUP which was awesome. All round good tour with a good guide.

I am very glad I chose to go with Busabout as I gave me the flexible option of staying on for a further few days if I needed (even though I didn't end up doing this) For the price I paid it was worth what we got considering other tours paid more and did pretty much the same things as the busabout crews.
I enjoyed every island we went to Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Ios. With my favourite being Paros and Ios :D In Paros we did a boat/sailing day ride out into the middle of the ocean. It was one of the most peaceful and relaxing boat rides ever and with the wood fired Greek barbeque we had for lunch it just rounded out how beautiful and relaxing Paros could be. In regards to Ios, well I celebrated my birthday there and the thing I loved most was the style and personality of each pub/bar we went into. With the 2 nights of pub crawls I can honestly say I have never partied that hard before. Overall each Island offered something different and Busabout gave us that option to explore and discover it if we wanted to. I met some amazing people on this trip, some of whom I still call my friends. It is a very friendly atmosphere and the tour guide we had really helped give substance to the tour. I would definitely rate this as must for people who are wanting to just visit the islands for a small holiday but have some freedom and choice in what you want to do while you are there :)

Being able to choose how long you wanted to stay on each island and your own accomodation is such a luxury compared to any other tours I have been on. Choosing the recommended accommodation always meant transportation to and from the port was organised and it was a lot easier to meet the group, the only place we chose to stay somewhere else was in Santorini but it was easy enough to meet up with the group with Stasi's directions. Stasi was an amazing guide, as most days there were options to go on group tours, a few I decided not to join but Stasi gave me so many options of things to do and see on each island while they were all on their group tour. Stasi's knowledge was incredible and he was so efficient with his communication and details about each place we were going it made the trip stress free! Even when the tour was finished he took the last members of the group who were staying in Athens to a restaurant he recommended for dinner. Thank you so much Stasi for making the trip one to remember!

We spent 4 …My partner and I have had both good and bad experiences with Busabout. The Greek Island Hopper was one of our favourite trips though. It was very flexible in the time spent on each Island. We spent 4 days in Mykonos, 6 days in Santorini, 2 days in Paros and 4 days in Ios. It was a great way to spend the amount of time in each place that we wanted. The only downside is that most people only do 2 days on each island and the guide changes every 2 days so you don't get to stick with the same group the whole time. You can also choose whatever accommodation you want or go with the recommended ones. The guides were all very organised and stress free which was great. There are a lot of optional extras that you can choose to do as there is not a lot included in the price you pay. Essentially you are paying for the transport and guide. Overall it was a great, flexible trip.
One of our guides was Stasi who was amazing. Very fun, passionate and knowledgable person. He was very organised and ran everything smoothly. Would definitely book another tour if he was the guide.

I didn't know what to expect from the trip. I had booked it so I could see the islands and not have to worry about how to get from point a to point b. At first I was unsure whether or not it was worth the money I paid for it, but with the friendships you build on the tour it totally makes it worth it. I also could not have asked for a better guide, I have no idea how stasi was able to take everyone out til 4am and still be up early for work the next day. He made it fun the whole time and was very very helpful with getting my friend and I accommodation last minute for very cheap prices. My favorite part was probably paros. We were upgraded for free to a very nice room, our hostel lady was incredibly nice and helpful and the whole island just felt relaxed exactly like how stasi described it. I would recommend busabout as long as people get stasi, I don't think there is a single person who did not think stasi was the bomb. Thanks for the awesome time busabout and stasi better win this competition because he earned it

We enjoyed in equal parts all the things we enjoy about travelling; food, culture, incredible views and a healthy dose of partying. Our host - Stasi was brilliant as he is actually Greek himself so he was able to converse well with the locals on our behalf but was also really helpful, patient fun and always gave clear instructions which allowed the group to relax and enjoy themselves!

The selected locations were beautiful and a perfect balance of varying paced activities & experiences. Busabout offered cultural, historical based activities but alongside the social aspects were not neglected. The general setup of Busabout is very convenient - having the option of extending in one location but not missing out on the family type environment that bus about manages to create and provide. The only negative aspect of the trip was the security time added in for travel time - being such a big group it is understandable that spare minutes are needed to organise everyone but sometimes it felt as if we lost multiple hours to waiting, that may however be the nature of the particular tour I did as ferries were the main from of transport. Other than this one minor downfall I am a big bus about fan and would 100% recommend it to other youth travellers.

The reason I chose to do Busabout was it gave you a lot of flexibility, which I was not disappointed in. You could participate as little or as much as you wanted, with no pressure. However, Stasi was so inclusive and made the group gel together so well. I always wanted to participate in all the activities.
We were all very well informed of departure times etc which made it easy to organise yourself. Stasi was a great host, who took the time to get to know everyone and join in the jokes and the nights out.
I'd highly recommend Busabout to anyone who likes a little flexible but still the great organisation of a tour.

Mykonos was so pretty with intricate streets, magnificent windmills and great bars for cocktails!!!
Paros was the epic boat trip which was so much fun and ended at the mesmerising aqua blue lagoon!!
Santorini was such a special place with the lovely restaurant and stunning views. I felt incredibly lucky to experience the quiet yet magnificent sunset with hundreds of people in awe.
Ios was a fantastic end to the holiday with rapid bar crawls, awesome music and hilarious games in the transitions between ..."Gecko!!" We had such a fun time and stayed up all night to watch the beautiful sunrise and then we were ready to do it all over again!
My favourite islands were Santorini and Ios for completely contrasting reasons!
Last but certainly not least, the whole trip was absolutely made by our amazing guide Stasi! We feel so lucky to have had Stasi as our guide as feel that this is what made the trip extra special! From day one, he was calm, caring, insightful, knowledgable, fun, cheeky & so incredibly organised! Our favourite moment was watching him try to translate a PG version of Mr Stavros' monologue for our ears, so funny!!
Thanks you Stasi, you are a total ledge & we had the best time! Already thinking about Croatia 2017!!

The information given by our tour guide Stasi was excellent, he ensured we were always in the loop with plans. As well as this, the Facebook group Stasi made was an effective communication tool that was used by Stasi to tell us everything that was happening.
My favourite island was Santorini. Stasi got us the best spot to watch the sunset and like every island, had an incredible restaurant choice which has stunning views and food.
I couldn't recommend this trip more highly, and will be passing on that message to friends who are thinking about doing the Greek islands.

Stasi was a great help not only in what to see and do in good time on each islands and were we should and shouldn't eat etc but also the knowledge of all the history and cool stories of the greek mythology which I have never heard before. Also you could tell that he really loved telling us about all the history etc, it wasn't that he had to tell us he generally really wanted to share his love for the history. He also always made sure we had a good night out and at the same time watching and making sure we were all there. We had signals we all used in each place if it was packed so we did have to yell at eachother, was very clever. Also as a solo traveller making sure we got home ok and or made sure we had a pair to go home with, so always felt safe. I could mention many other things but think these are definitely the most that come straight to mind. :):)

Ios would have to be my favourite place, the nightlife was incredible although Santorini was really nice As well. All up it was a great week.

He's also unjudgemental so you can tell him anything and share any messed up story and he'll see the fun in it. Overall he's a caring guy but with a super fun side so perfect to lead a tour with young people!

He was caring and helpful from the minute we met him. He would answer any questions we had and if he didn't know the answer he would find out straight away. He was forever making us giggle on bus rides and filling us with incredible knowledge of Greece and our exciting surroundings. Stasi made time to chat to each and every person, to get to know them and ensure they were having a good time. We choose to do all the extra activities that Busabout offered and we couldn't of been happy. They were all very affordable, so unique to each island and they ran perfectly. Since doing this tour I have become a travel agent and i constantly recommend busabout to everyone. I also dos the North south and west loops and they were the perfect way to travel europe. So efficent and an amazing way to find out about each city and meet great people. I could sing busabout and Stasi praises all day but it would get boring. I'll finish by saying Stasi was not only the most wonderful guide I have ever met but one of the most wonderful people. So generous and caring, anyone would be lucky to travel europe with him !

He was always helpful in answering questions or offering advice. He communicated the plans for the trip extremely well so we always knew what was happening and where we had to be at what time. This made the trip run smoothly and without any hiccups. One thing I really appreciated was that he always put everyones needs before his own, staying out late to make sure we all got home safely after big nights out. Thank you Stasi for everything!

I would definitely do the trip again if I could be guaranteed to have Stasi as my guide! He was fantastic - informative, fun and friendly and he made our group feel like a family rather than strangers who were sharing the same coach/accommodation. He made the trip extremely enjoyable and memorable and I will have fond memories for many years to come, including lots of new friends who I still keep in touch with 3 years later. The tour was super flexible, giving us time to explore and still feel like we were on a holiday. Our guide Stasi was one of a kind. Super mellow dude, very accommodating and always on the ball! The chaos of the ferries was exhilarating but if I'm being honest, I'm glad we only had to go through it 20 minutes at a time, every other type of transport was great, the coach busses were always kept clean and had the bonus of a humorous driver. I stayed at all the recommended accommodations and boy was I glad to do that!
Over all the tour was fantastic! Would definitely do it again

This is my second review of this tour, but under a different guide's account and I just wanted to specifically praise Stasi for being the most attentive, observant, and protective guide I've ever experienced on a Busabout trip.
If you're lucky enough to get Stasi as a guide while in Greece, you can expect him to be the last man standing every night.
He serves as the big brother to the group and is always there to cheer you up, make sure you're okay, and somehow be the only human being who can drink without ever getting drunk (Ios pubcrawls).
At any rate, amazing tour, and an even better guide. Highly recommend it!

I expected the tour to be a lot more independent but there was definitely a strong group vibe and we ended up sticking together for most meals and outings. One thing I will say is that there were some amazing hotels/resorts around and I would suggest staying outside the recommended hostels, at least part of the time.

I never thought the busabout tour would be how it went, but I'm extremely grateful for the way it did. I'd recommend it to anyone back here in Canada. I'd recommend Stasi to anyone who'd consider going to Greece, who'd want an adventure, and who'd want to see the islands the way I did. I loved every second.

But once we got to Athens and started our tour with Busabout and with Stasi as our guide it felt like a dream vacation. We didn't have to worry about how we were going to get to our next destination or figure out where our hostel was. Stasi had it all under control and did an amazing job at keeping us and the rest of the group excited for the adventures he was bringing us too. I would absolutely do another tour with busabout and I wouldn't one any other person but Stasi to be my tour guide.

The group I met were fantastic, it was the last tour of the season so places were closing and things were slightly quiet but our group brought the party to each of the islands we visited. I did it solo, and loved every minute of it. There is something for everyone, you can spend you days and evenings how ever you please, if you’re lucky enough to get a good tour guide and an awesome group you’ll have the time of your life. Do all the add ons, it’s worth it to see all the sites and spend time with new friends. Shout out to Stasi, he’s a legend on the islands.

The tour was absolutely amazing!! Stasi was absolutely perfect as our guide and I could not have asked for anyone better! The only reason I did not give 5 stars overall was because I was not expecting…The tour was absolutely amazing!! The only reason I did not give 5 stars overall was because I was not expecting the add-ons to be so cumulatively expensive (and everyone does all of them) and if you're not super in to nightlife/club hopping/bar hopping, then you'll need to way the pros and cons of doing a trip by means of a tour group through Contiki.
