I absolutely loved this tour. All transportation tickets/timetables was taken care of by the guide. Anyone who has traveled knows that getting around a country where you don’t speak the language is of…I absolutely loved this tour. Anyone who has traveled knows that getting around a country where you don’t speak the language is often the hardest part of the tour. People interested in this package must be forewarned: there is ALOT of walking. A lot. I averaged 20k steps a day. There’s just no getting around walking a lot. The variety of activities planned was perfect. From group time to individual time, you get plenty of both. Be forewarned: you will be sharing accommodations in a couple of the spots so don’t be surprised. To me, that just added to the experience of group traveling. This tour package includes lots of small group stuff like a private sushi making class, kendo lesson, walking food tour. Loved the mix of scheduled events vs free time. HIGHLY recommend this package

It's the best combination to see the awesome city life of Japan and its beautiful nature and culture.
I will never forget walking around in the busiest night life area of Tokyo with a beer in my hand watching the big shining buildings and have a great laugh with the group. While a day or two later i woke up at 7am to do a prayer in a tempel with a monk and walked around in a beautiful mountain town.
I couldn't have wished a better tour then this one.
And what makes the tour complete is obviously a good tour guide, our group was really lucky with the tourguide Craig, what a wonderful, lovely and funny person, always on the look out if everyone was okay and knew so much about Japan and its culture (including everything about Pokemon)
Don't hesitate to book this tour, you won't regret it. :)

I honestly don’t even know where to begin – this group trip was an absolute dream! It was organized by the lovely Laura from OurTravelTreats, and you could truly feel how much love and effort she poured into every detail. Laura wasn’t just incredibly organized, she was also so warm and kind. She took the time to connect with everyone, was always available for questions, and greeted every moment with a big, genuine smile.
If you’re thinking about going to Japan, I can’t recommend this group trip enough. You don’t just get to explore the country in a really unique and special way – you also become part of a little travel family filled with positive energy and good vibes.
And then there’s Craig – what an amazing guide! His passion for Japan is infectious, his knowledge is impressive, and his sense of humor made every tour even more fun. I truly couldn’t imagine a better person to show us around. I’d go back to Japan with him again in a heartbeat!

Craig was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Japanese culture and history. He had the answer to almost any question. His style is welcoming, making you feel comfortable and valued, and his excitement is contagious.
The organization and coordination done by Laura made this trip so easy. She won my confidence from the very beginning and I never doubted that she had all the logistics under control. Her management allowed me to let go of my stress and truly vacation. I appreciate all of her work in communicating before the trip and coordinating the operations as we went.

We also had two video calls where we could ask any questions we had. Laura optimized the program brilliantly. There was plenty to see and experience. I particularly enjoyed the kimonos and the kendo class in Kyoto.
Craig was an equally fantastic guide. Always in a good mood, funny, motivating, and he knew lots of interesting facts and stories about every place we visited. If you're a Pokemon fan, you'll especially enjoy his tour. We were happy to follow his restaurant recommendations. We've never regretted it. He made sure to take care of all our needs.

I'm so glad we decided to go on the group trip to Japan with Laura. The days were wonderful and flew by. We made so many amazing, funny, extraordinary, and awe-inspiring memories. A few tips for future travelers - there is a LOT of walking. Bring the right shoes and don’t worry about being cute. It might even be a good idea to invest in a good pair of shoes before the trip. Family Mart and 7/11 will definitely come in clutch but do some research watch some TikTok’s and plan ahead if there’s any specific foods or restaurants you want to try. These are small spots and you will miss out on great food if you’re trying to find restaurants on google when you’re hangry. And lastly hope for Craig as your guide. I’m pretty sure our group gave him a run for his money but he really was so accommodating and knowledgeable!

And not only is Japan an incredible country, you will also get to experience it with an absolutely amazing guide. I've had some amazing guides in the past, but Craig is on a whole other level. He instantly became part of our group and I think I can safely say that we all consider him our friend now. He was extremely well prepared, very talkative and funny and fantastic at guiding a group of 16 people through some of the most chaotic places I've ever seen. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Japan and Craig again someday.

I won’t go into too much detail, as it’s worth discovering on the fly, but the tour covered popular spots along with unique gems—like restaurants and activities recommended by Craig—that you couldn’t have found on your own. Everything on the itinerary flowed really well.

Be prepared for a lot of walking, standing, and stairs, so not ideal for those with limited mobility. But it is all worth it!!! Craig did a great job wrangling a large group of humans, creating space for those who need it and making everyone feel comfortable. He kept us focused without being militant, paid attention to our likes and preferences and incorporated relevant fun facts into his speeches. It felt like touring with a friend!
We saw more in 10 days with the group than we would in 3 weeks if we planned the trip by ourselves.

Personable. Charismatic. Knowledgeable. Kind. Caring. Phenomenal. Honestly, give this man a pay rise. HE is what made this tour. Craig's ability to work under pressure, multitask, organise, coordinate, while still remaining fun and personable is truly a unique skillet. I will forever have the fondest memories of my time in Japan with the amazing group of people I met. I really appreciated the time Craig gave to get to know people, as well as locals. On this tour, you really get to see some very special, very non-gaijin places - not just the usual tourist areas. Whether you want a bar, maid cafes, a restaurant recommendation, or shopping ideas, Craig is your man! Everyone on the tour bonded and it really made me feel at home. This is something that is not always easy to get as a solo, female traveller! I honestly can't express in words nor embody the awesomeness that is this tour and the awesomeness that is Craig! There were also several unique experiences (i.e. kendo with a descendant from a samurai family, cooking lessons from a Japanese sushi chef) I probably wouldn’t have ever had if not for this tour. Our tour guide was also extremely helpful in providing suggestions for things to do in our free time as well as in troubleshooting when things didn’t go exactly as planned. All in all, I would 100% recommend this tour for those traveling to Japan for the first time or looking for an active tour experience. Thank you One Life Adventures!

I have made a bit of a hobby for traveling. This will be my 10th trip and the first one with a new company. I will be the first to say this is the tour you're looking for. It's both conceptually fast-…I have made a bit of a hobby for traveling. This will be my 10th trip and the first one with a new company. I will be the first to say this is the tour you're looking for. It's both conceptually fast-paced and extremely accommodating. At no point did I feel overwhelmed or that I wasn't able to do what I had planned for my trip. The meet-up points are open and calm. If you need a social break, there is almost always space and time for you to do so.
All of this prior to speaking about our guide. Craig was, without a single doubt, one of the best tour guides I've ever had. The man has a passion for the culture, and the people, but he also has a strong passion for you. He will make time to help you on whatever path you think you'd like to go on in Japan. As he says at the orientation "This group is for you". More than just being a good host, he was a good friend.

Visiting temples and shrines was a profound experience. Making sushi was tasty and gave us insight into Japanese cuisine. Staying at a temple immersed us in culture.
A Kendo class introduced us to Japanese martial arts. Cycling in Gion at night was enchanting. The best part? Meeting amazing people along the way, sharing stories and laughter.
I won't list all the incredible moments; it would be a novel. This tour blends culture, adventure, and connections perfectly. Highly recommend!

My tour guide Craig was friendly and took into account of everyone's celebrations within the group. I didn't have to worry much about the itinerary or time.

The way we typically like to travel is to be immersed into the culture. We like to experience the food, heritage, extra curricular activities, and overall way of life whilst seeing the 'must see' sites of the nation.
Onelife did not disappoint.
What we got out of traveling this way (instead of on our own) is the removal of stress. By having the intertravel logistics managed for us, we were able to relax and enjoy the moments.
An added perk was having memories captured for us with photo sharing. It encouraged the whole group to participate, thus increasing the quantities for selection.
Friendships and even romances were forged.
Many age groups and personality types were among our travel group, and (from what we witnessed) no one was left without what they needed from the guide.
Our guide was Craig. A personable Scotsman with a passion for what he does and an overall joy of life.
Nobody was (or felt) left behind, but there was always the complete 'freeeedoooom' (excuse the Braveheart reference) to do whatever we liked within the timeframes in destinations.
We have already registered for our next adventure with Onelife.
South Korea, here we come.

Every city had something unique to offer. I can't think of one favourite sight or activity, there were just too many: the many temples, sushi making class and an overall hustling and bustling Tokyo; the Mount Fuji in Hakone; a night in the temple inclusive of the meditation with the guidance of the hosting monk, sake tasting and shopping at the historical district in Takayama; kimono rental along with the real geisha sighting, tea ceremony and more shopping in the historical Gion district of Kyoto; and finally, the foodie Heaven that is Osaka. And of course our guide Craig, along with two supporting guides, Adam and Ruby made the experience even more extraordinary. I highly recommend this unforgettable experience to anyone who wishes to see and experience the best of Japan in 2 weeks.

Japan having allot to offer can make it hard to see all there is, but One Life crushed it. Hands down 10 out 10 recommend! As a wise man once said, you only have 1 life!
