The people there are nice and the other tourists in our group are sweet and lovely. However, we feel disappointed about our tour guide. She didn’t do much for her job. We felt left out and ignored for being Asian. She seemed to enjoy her trip more than us. I think it’d be better if we just fly to the place and book local tours. Overalls, I would not recommend OneLife tour to others.

I absolutely enjoyed this tour and can highly recommend it! We did so many great things, saw so many places, met wonderful people and just had a great time all around. We did so many great things, saw so many places, met wonderful people and just had a great time all around. We were a pretty big group but our tour guide Rachael was great in looking out for everyone and making sure everyone was happy and well. She took care of those who got minor injuries (hello corals) and was absolutely wonderful, introducing us to so many great people and unbelievable plafes.she was also super flexible and quick moving plans around due to some super heavy rain we had, so we could experience as much as possible.
I gave four stars because the tour is 8 days at best - the first day in Manila is just drinks and the last day is day 9, not day 10 because nothing is included or happening on day 10 therefore I feel like advertising it as a 10 day tour is quite a stretch by One Life.
Also, there is not much down time during the tour, the most you will have is about 2hrs to just chill and relax, read a book, take in the scenery. So just be aware of that :)
The overall tour though was awesome, we did so many great things and had such a good time togerher, it actually feels like I have been in the Philippines for a month at least and not just 10 days :)

Affordable, Filipinos are incredibly friendly and excellent quality of food and drink, all extremely safe even going out in Manilla etc. I loved coco Rico in Port Barton and I loved going to Friends hostel in el nido (epic fun). The boat trip is beautiful. The tour was great and I love the impact one life has on the places. Jet our guide was always helpful and I never had a single problem with him at any point on the trip. He actually made my trip as a solo guy travelling in an all girls group alot more bearable. Thanks Jet!
My advice from my experience would be to skip the caves on the boat day, skip the underground river if you are not interested in it (controversial opinion), swap the last hostel in el nido from spin to friends (it's just better). Even though you don't stay there though you can join them for all the fun and then head to happiness bar or amigos dance club.

The tour did not disappoint. My highlights were the sardine run, badjao community and school visit and the sunset cruise in Boracay.

I went to both the west and east tour together. Both tours had their own unique experiences so I didnt feel like I was doing the same activities. The best accommodation of both tours was in Bohol - Abraham Hostel. It was like a dream come true. Rachael was a wonderful guide who went above and beyond. You can tell how much she loves the philippines and she taught me so much.

Amazing Tour with a wide range of things to do and see. Really enjoyed Sunrise hike to Osmena Peak and getting to have breakfast near a local waterfall. Each day was different but interesting.

Amazing place to visit and beautiful beaches. Food is amazing and the highlight of my trip was visiting the school, prison and the Coron extension was definitely worth it for the twin lagoon experiance. My only pointer for improvement would be the vibes lacked severely. Being only a few days in we were on a private beach around a fire pit and was painfully awkward. I felt as though I led the group in the sense of starting off talking and playing games but was still painfully awkward throughout. We also had a few issues with my friends onwards travel and her missing her connecting flight. When we told our group leader the situation she just replied “shitt” and made little effort to help. Once bringing this to her attention and asking her to help she then gave my friend her phone and then got in the shower leaving her alone to deal with the situation. Group leader also was not present on most of our activities and stayed back at the hotel and used local tour guides to show us around. I have been in many tours previously and this is my first tour with one life and I feel quite disappointed, as I haven’t experienced this with any other tour provider. Omar was a trainee group leader on the tour shadowing the group leader. I couldn’t have praised Omar anymore. He really is a great person down to earth and really made amazing efforts to make the experience better for the group.

Rachel was an amazing guide & very knowledgeable about everywhere we went as she’s lived there for so long. Also, Onelife has great links with the communities in the Philippines as we spent a lot of time with locals, learning about the culture through our interactions. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this tour enough, very impressed.

We were unfortunate with some cancellations due to the weather but our guide Rachael worked hard to ensure there was sufficient replanning.
The overall experience was enhanced by Rachael’s close relationship with the locals in the area, allowing us to have a more authentic experience. Rachael provided the group with interesting and relevant information about the culture and history of the Philippines. The mix of nature, culture and social activities was a wonderful blend for a 14 day tour. I would recommend this tour to a friend.

Completely unforgettable! I decided to join this tour because I wanted to travel with other young people and make sure I was seeing the best the Philippines has to offer. I was not disappointed. Authentic and exciting activities that left me in awe of such a beautiful country! The private islands and boat trips provided a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Philippines unspoilt. Amazing variety of cuisine and just enough Filipino dishes to ensure we had our fair share of the taste of the Philippines. The boat boys and all the other guides that assisted were incredible! So helpful and made sure all our needs were catered for. They also cooked us mouthwatering fresh food on the boat. I thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat with music and good laughs. The epitome of stress-free. Great weather and scenery. The prison visit was truly a unique and eye-opening experience that reconnected us as humans. The underground river was so fun and educational (Great photo opportunities at lunch afterwards). Port Barton will forever hold a special place in my heart for the kind people that reside there. The hospitality in the Philippines is unmatched. Camping on a private island was amazing! Worth getting up early for sunrise. The hike up to the waterfall was easy but requires steady footing, but worth the walk indeed! Truly magnificent! The authentic Filipino experience day was jammed packed with activities that helped us learn about Filipino heritage and culture while being hands on! Beautiful scenery from the zipline - worth taking a GoPro for! A great way to get the blood pumping! Straight from there we relaxed with cocktails on the beach! Great nightlife, great food and forever friends are made! The highlight was definitely the snorkelling. The beautiful marine life is something I will never forget. All-in-all it’s a jammed packed experience that I would recommend to everyone! If you are lucky enough to have Rachael as your guide, you will never be disappointed. Through this trip you are also helping local communities which are highly supported by One Life and their team.

Wow… where to begin?!
This was Aileen’s first tour and from the start she made me and the group feel so welcome. She had great knowledge and could answer all our questions. It didn’t take long for…Wow… where to begin?!
This was Aileen’s first tour and from the start she made me and the group feel so welcome. She had great knowledge and could answer all our questions. It didn’t take long for her to feel as though she was another friend rather than just our tour guide. When I was searching for a tour to come on I was comparing this tour and one of G Adventures and in the end what swung me was the reviews I read and that one life seemed to have good ethical values and had more of a homely feel to it. I was nervous coming on this tour in the beginning as it was my first solo tour, and I didn’t know who I would meet and what the group/tour would be like but I have been blown away by how quickly we all became a family.
The tour has been well thought out from start to finish and you can see the attention to detail that has been put in, especially the focus that One Life has on giving back to the local communities and the close relationships they have, the communities get so excited when the one life group arrives.
The places we have visited have been unbelievable and it has all been brilliant it’s hard to pinpoint just one highlight but being on a private island and singing around the campfire with Skinny Airlie and playing pick, pack, bang bang (boom) with all the boatboys was very special and ended up looking like Rambo. I really liked the interaction with all the locals and just how happy they are, I’ve definitely made some friends for life on this tour.
This tour is something I highly recommend and something you should experience for yourself to see how incredible it is.
PS. On silly shirt night just hope that someone won’t play a prank on you which involves walking through El nido in a crochet crop top - picture for reference.

The remote island stay were two of my fav days in months of travelling, the food organised by the tour or even the family dinners by Rachael were amazing. Rach was a brilliant guide, kept it fun and made the tour as a group really enjoyable. Would recommend to all, esp young travellers who enjoy group vibes and nights out :)

Starting in Manila, our tour guide Rachael was there to introduce herself and greet the entire group. Rachael communicated with the group about upcoming outings so we could prepare things like what to wear and what to bring. Her drive to ensure everyone was having a comfortable and enjoyable trip really made an impression on me. One Life really smashed it out of the park with this adventure.

Rachel our guide was worth her weight in gold and there was no problem big or small that she couldn't solve. She was fantastic at making the group one big family, also a bit of a smart arse and loved getting involved with the jokes amongst the group.

We have experienced so much and became a lovely family of 17 for 10 days and then a smaller group of 7 of us to Coron for the 14 days extension.
The tour provides a great mix of adventure and relaxation, exploring many places and experiencing the culture and the amazing welcoming from the Filipino community who we met!
The foundations of this great holiday were the well thought out tour - with lots included as part of the tour - but my experience was made by the people I met! Rachael was brilliant at bringing our group together, ensuring everyone was included, organising fam dinners every night! Highlights were island hopping - waking up to the ocean - and scuba diving, an optional extra I would recommend to try in Coron!

I was disappointed that we did not have a local guide. In my opinion, the benefits of a local guide, asides from supporting the local community, are hearing their stories about the history and culture and having their support to converse with other locals in their language. Unfortunately, our guide was unable to do this as she wasn't from the Philippines, didn't speak the language and had spent less then a year in the country. She was unable to answer most questions about the Philippines or offer many recommendations due to limited knowledge about the country. In the past, when I have visited other countries we have always had a local guide so I was surprised as to why this tour was different. In my opinion, guides should at least have a number of years living in the country and a good grasp of the language.
It was great to stay on the private island but I would have preferred to have helped with the cooking and/or chatted to the locals about life in the Philippines. We were mainly sat separately from the locals and it was a shame not to have had the opportunity to engage with them more.
We were also not asked for consent for taking photos or videos and on the island hopping days there was often a camera on you. I don't mind the odd photo or video but I found this a bit intrusive.
It should really be advertised as an 8 day tour because day 1 and 10 are just arrival and departure days.
I loved the cultural day, visiting the prison and the school and all of the island hopping. I can't fault the places you go and the activities you do on this tour. It is a unique experience and a great way to see the highlights in a short time.

The 10 day itinerary was well organised and covered a good mix of island hopping and relaxation time, alongside cultural activities such as visiting a local school, and a fun cultural day where we had the opportunity to cook a local dish, and learn stick fighting along with other local skills and activities.
If you are considering this tour, some points worth noting are that the 10 day tour is really only 8 days of activities since day 1 starts with just dinner at 6pm in the evening, and day 10 finishes at 9pm after breakfast. I was also a little surprised that our guide was not a “local”. Having joined a number of group tours with other tour companies (such as in Vietnam, Bali and Sri Lanka) over the past few years, on booking this trip I had expected that the tour guide would also be a local guide. Aside from supporting the local community, I find that having a local guide is beneficial in that you can learn more from the history and context of the region, and there are obviously great benefits to be had from someone who fluently speaks the local language (in this case I left my passport on the domestic flight to Palawan and had no language assistance in trying to get my passport back which made it quite difficult).
This tour includes some amazing experiences. For me, the main highlight was the time spent in beautiful Port Barton especially the overnight stay camping on the private island. I also loved the island hopping days which were well organised, with great food and safely run.

Unfortunately, you notice that the participants of the tour were not put in the first place, which was a bit sad. And the transfer back to the airport didn’t work. I got kicked out of the van by the driver 20 minutes before I should have arrived at the airport. The driver told me he’s not driving to the airport today. The guide reassured me that they drop me off at the airport.
Highlight was definitely the night on the private island and the cultural day.

Like my 1st one, this 14-day Philipinnes tour was just excellent! For the first 10 days, we had Rachel as a tour guild, and she did a fantastic job. And for the 4-day extension, we had Stu, who was super fun to hang out with. Both the tour guides did an excellent job, ensuring everyone enjoyed themselves.
So, if you enjoy island hopping, getting to know different cultures and meeting new people, including the locals, you should do this tour without a second thought! And please do the 4-day extension one; the 4 days in Coron is TOTALLY worth it.

My favourite day was the culture day. We learnt so much about the Philippines and it was so fun to get hands on in a range of activities. I also loved the underground tunnels and the island camping stay. The snorkelling spots we went on were incredible I’ve travelled a lot and it’s the most stunning place I’ve snorkelled.
There is one bit of feedback that I’d recommend which is to get rid of the prison visit. I felt like I didn’t get enough information prior to our visit as I was surprised at the inmates crimes - I thought a lot of them would have committed minimal crimes and felt uncomfortable as the experience was a bit too intimate. Saying this I spoke to my tour guide about how I felt and she said a lot of the inmates that were in on our visit hadn’t been there before

OneLife nailed this and were friendly, efficient and responsive from the get go. They made our trip so easy and really thought of everything. Shout out to Stu and Rachael whose guiding skills were second to none. You felt welcomed from even before the trip commenced, and relaxed knowing they had your back. I really appreciated their enthusiasm to answer any questions the group had and was impressed by their historical and geographical knowledge of the different areas around the Philippines. It was clear from every location that we went to that OneLife was much loved and respected by the locals and this was something that I knew made OneLife stand out. Their kind and respectful attitudes meant we as a group were also welcomed with a smile making you feel right at home whilst still on an awesome adventure. Visiting a local school was such a special experience. The island hopping took us to breathtaking beaches and clear waters with the best coral I’ve ever seen. Island beach camp was absolutely amazing and something I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to organise myself. The optional zip line is definitely worth doing!

Tip: when staying on the Island overnight stay in Coron ask to not stay in the 4 bed dorm - the cockerels go off from 3am, the residents of the island are next door and get up really early, their pet cat also kept coming into the cabin who wasn’t the friendliest when being removed. Unfortunately for us we didn’t get any sleep, however we do expect some wilderness as it’s an exoctic island but there are cabins the other side of the island that experience less noise. Also there was no fan in the 4 bed cabin. This was addressed to the group leader Stu at the time so hopefully this will be resolved for future guests staying on island. Other than that the tour was exceptional, would highly recommend!

Snorkelling, island hopping, beach camping, beach volleyball, visiting a local school, the delicious food, and going to prison. It was clear to see that Rachael our guide has invested in the places this tour goes to and has made connections and friendships with many of the people at the local restaurants and the local guides- this made the experience even more meaningful as it felt like a big family. Every night there were great restaurant recommendations and we would usually go out as a group for supper. This trip and tour exceeded my expectations.

The tour is full of very fun activities. The camping experience on a private beach is very unique and fun. The boat trips are amazing and take you to the most beautiful parts of the Filippines. During the cultural day you will learn a lot more about the culture in a fun way. Particular highlights for me were the island hopping with the boatboys of port Barton - they worked extremely hard to make our experience as seamless as it was! All of them were so lovely! Staying on the private island was simply beautiful, cannot put into words how amazing this experience was!
Finally the Filipino experience with mark and Shenny- both amazing professionals and very welcoming. Learnt so much and had a lot of fun!

The trip was really good value for money and it’s so much easier and less stressful than planning it yourself. Everything was so smooth, the accommodation was always good, the food was great and all of the recommendations and activities that were planned were so much fun!
Our tour guide, Rachael, was faultless and I know I can speak for all of us when I say it was a joy being with her for 10 days and getting to know her. We will all miss her and each other.

The underground river tour, the school visit, island hopping, and everything in between, it was clear that this is a well curated tour. Rachael’s communication and professionalism were top-notch, but she was also so much fun and it was great getting to know her along with the rest of the group! There were so many great moments, it’s hard to narrow down the highlights! I loved island hopping as it gave us the chance to take in the incredible scenery, but the local cultural moments really stood out. Visiting Iwahig prison and getting to chat with a few inmates was so cool, and the school visit was amazing. The children were so sweet and I loved seeing their excitement as they performed their dances and showed us their classrooms. The more touristy activities, like the underground river tour, were well chosen and so enjoyable! Port Barton was a fave spot, such a beautiful location with the most wonderful people! Rachael was the perfect guide and kept things moving along perfectly. Her fam dinner recommendations were always so amazing, and her efforts to keep us all together outside the planned activities were so appreciated!

My personal favourite was the first day of island hopping in port Barton and staying on the private island after. Probably one of the best days of my life, a day I'll never forget. Our guide, Rachael, was sensational. Always up for fun, organising everything for us and giving us the best holiday ever. She always had a smile on her face and was beyond helpful.

After all, this is not the first time you are conducting a tour for Christmas and New Year and you should be aware of those places that are closed and not include them in the program, or initially change places.
I still don't understand why I paid $1800. More than half of the days are free time. All additional activities for separate money. Only because the group began to resent, they replaced the underwater river with a zipline. At the same time, a bicycle is considered the top entertainment on a zipline, but apparently the organizers spared no money for this option.
Terribly uncomfortable bus on the principle of who managed to sit on good seats. The rest got places where there is no legroom at all, and the journey was more than three hours.
If the group is traveling for the New Year holidays, why is there no pre-determined plan?
Everything was blurry, nothing booked. The whole impression of the holiday is spoiled.
Guide Rachel is completely unprofessional. She just hangs out for her pleasure with those who are pleasant to her. She does not care if the participants have a connection and whether her messages have reached. There were a lot of such complaints within the group. If you ask again, she gets irritated. Though for a second, half of the group does not have English as their first language. Complete disappointment.
Only the remaining 4 days were well organized thanks to the tour guide Stu. He was attentive to everyone, explained everything clearly, was always smiling and friendly. With this guide, I could go again for sure.
In connection with all of the above, I would like to be compensated for the lack of a trip to the underwater river in Puerto Princesa and the unprofessional guide, which is a large part of the cost of the trip. All my words can be confirmed by other participants who were dissatisfied.

I don’t know if I have a highlight as all our activities were phenomenal! From seeing the prison and talking to the inmates, island hoping, sleeping in tents on a island, snorkelling with all the fish, visiting the underground river, staying in coron, sleeping in huts on an island in coron, meeting everyone and becoming friends with them all, and so much more! The island hopping and Port Barton were absolute standouts - I loved how friendly and accommodating the locals were, I loved visiting the school, living it up on the boat and private beach, watching the basketball - incredible! Definitely the group and guide, Rachel, themselves. They’ve made this experience 100 times better. Rach is the best guide I’ve had on a tour, she knows her stuff and the hidden gems as well. Her friendships with the locals made the experience so much better as we were able to get a deeper dive into the Filipino culture and make friends with locals. Port Barton is definitely a hidden gem, and going to the local basketball games. The Island Hopping days were unreal as was camping on the beach.

OneLife delivered on what they promise and it was overall a really fun trip meeting great people and beautiful Phillipine scenery. Do note accommodation is quite basic on this tour, even for a hostel-based trip. The weather also makes a big difference - sea looked a lot more inviting when the sun was shining.
In hindsight though would skip a tour that takes you across Palawan and would self-book a week in El Nido where island hopping tours and other activities are easy to organise. This avoids losing a lot of time on travel and preferred El Nido to Port Barton and Puerto Princesa.
I most enjoyed the snorkelling overall and the culture day in El Nido. Having a group of fun people on the boat and bus rides also added to the experience. Food was good in El Nido too.

Our guide Rachael really made the trip extra special; she was unflappable in the face of changed plans or bad weather, all with a smile that kept the fun vibes up. I’m sad I didn’t add on the extension to Coron; I don’t want to leave yet!!
The jail was my #1 highlight. The criminal backstreet boys brought the dance heat and in all my travels, I’ve never done anything quite like it. I was hoping another highlight would be the underground river but the weather didn’t cooperate; I’ll just have to come back :)

I loved all the island hopping days. The boat crew's were amazing, the beaches were spectacular and the snorkelling was unreal. The guide Rachael made the tour so smooth and was able to create such a welcoming and fun vibe. This tour was exactly what i wanted and more!

Our tour guide, Rachael, was absolutely fantastic. Not only was she kind, caring and approachable, she has become friends with every person on the tour. It was beautiful to see the relationships she has formed with One Life stakeholdwrs and the locals in each place. Our group was incredible, with 20 people we all managed to mingle and have a fantastic time. The activities were amazing, the stakeholders and locals were beautiful. Disappointed that the tour isn’t really a 10 day tour. It’s 8 days at best. Day 1 is just a welcome dinner at 6pm, Day 9 is one activity that finishes by 10am and Day 10 everyone just heads off their separate ways in the morning. For me the trip felt unfinished / ended on a low with so much wasted time at the end. I wish there was more guidance for optional activities like I’ve had with other tour companies.
Would definitely recommend the tour as a good way to experience all the Philippines has to offer. Would also recommend One Life Adventures as a company!

Sleeping on the remote island was the highlight of the tour for me. It was a great experience and made especially fun by our tour leader Rachael who had some great games for us to play and keep us entertained. Another massive highlight was the food on the boat trips. There was such a range and it was great to be able to have seafood which is too expensive to have at home, it felt like such a luxury.

In my opinion it is way easier and more social to do it with a group than by yourself, and we visited places that we probably wouldnt have visited otherwise. Highly recommended! The group leader Rachael was very professional and friendly, and helped us with anything we might need. It was her first solo tour, but I wouldnt have guessed so, as she seemed to know everything and always had good suggestions for optional activities and places to eat or drink. Thank you for making my stay in the Philippines unforgettable!
Some of the highlights for me was snorkeling with turtles, camping on a private island, island hopping, climbing a palm tree and learning about traditional dance and stick fighting. One of the optional activities was to join a boxing class, which I also really enjoyed!
