He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always on hand to help us out. We had a large group, and Surya expertly kept us safe and to schedule, even amending the itinerary to suit our needs and wants. I am especially thankful to Surya for helping me to navigate India as a vegan. This is something I was quite anxious about coming into the tour, but Surya eased my worries at every location by showing me vegan options, and flagging down staff to ask about ingredients. This meant that I could fully participate in all of the amazing food that India has to offer! Surya's incredible knowledge about India also made the tour special - he was able to give information in every location and attraction we visited in an engaging and understandable way. His friendliness also meant thay we really did fell like a 'trufam'. Surya integrated himself into our group, from eating dinner with us, to participating in cricket and karaoke. I am leaving the tour with a greater understanding of India, and memories to last a lifetime.

Our guide Surya had a vast knowledge of the history of the culture, religions and destinations of each of the attractions and areas we visited, he made it look so easy, and fluid,whilst working hard to keep everything on schedule, as well as keeping all 22 of us safe and entertained, he was always available if we had any questions, keeping us entertained with his quick wit and easy going nature, nothing was too much trouble.The hotels and restaurants were absolutely superb way above what I had expected as a 1st time tru traveller. Mr Sing and Krishner were fantastic as they safely transported us around the country and looking after us and our luggage

I had the best time on this tour, it’s full of different activities with some great optional extras such as the sunrise hot air balloon. The accommodation was the nicest I’ve seen on any tour, the transport was comfy, nicely air conditioned & waters provided and transport staff - Rush & Krishna were lovely and always ready to help.
And lastly our lovely tour guide Suri was amazing. His organisation was amazing including providing us with all the information needed and our plans each day. He provided us with a great amount of knowledge about; the country, where we were visiting, history, religions and was always there for helpful tips and food recommendations. Even checking up on us through shared locations in free time.
Would defiantly recommend visiting India particularly through Tru Travels with Suri :)

The funniest two weeks ever, india has been a constant flow of tearful belly laughs! Naan bread overload, spoilt for rooftop or lake side restaurants, top homestay style hotels, hospitality to the max…The funniest two weeks ever, india has been a constant flow of tearful belly laughs! Naan bread overload, spoilt for rooftop or lake side restaurants, top homestay style hotels, hospitality to the max where staff can't do enough for you, and a tour guide with a fountain of knowledge who remains professional throughout yet kept a fun and humorous attitude. You know your safe in the hands of Surya, and im sure we put him to the test! Suri seems to know every man and his dog, and goes above and beyond to take care of us when separated from the group on our own adventures. With a click of a finger whatever we wanted Suri tried his best to make it happen! (Even down to creating an exclusive late-night rooftop dinning scene at our hotel in Udaipur when we were unble to go out!)
There is very little I would change about the intinerary, other than suggesting that the overnight train travel option should be swapped out, or have the added option to upgrade classes due to the presence of cockroaches. Also perhaps more time should be allocated in Agra soley to enjoy the luxuxy hotel!
Visiting the Taj Mahal for sunrise is one of those incredible 'pinch me' moments. Another favourite of mine would be in Pushkar. Camp Lands End homestay and the camels rides through the desert is a must do! The camp is a family-run, quiet getaway with mountain views. Greeted with handmade marigold garlands, a bindi spot, sparkling drink, and bags delivered to our room. We stayed in a cottage hut with a thatched style roof, and the authentic food was faultless.
There is so much to say and no words to fully describe how wholesome this trip has been, and im very thankful to have done it with Suri. India you didn't disappoint ?
Suri is an absolute legend! He is the best tour guide I have ever had and India is such a magical country! A memory I will treasure for a lifetime!
