When doing research and trying to decide on a tour for the Philippines, I always saw the best reviews for One Life and it is clear to me now w…This tour was PERFECTLY organized, planned, and executed. When doing research and trying to decide on a tour for the Philippines, I always saw the best reviews for One Life and it is clear to me now why that is true! I could honestly write SO much about why I loved this tour, so I'm going to separate this into some sections...
Accommodations: Excellent. All of the hostels/hotels we stayed in seemed to be top-tier of that particular place. Clean, comfortable, and plenty of the necessary amenities. Never had to worry about access to clean water. Even in Port Barton, where accommodation is inevitably going to be more basic, it was totally fine and comfortable and honestly felt homey, because the people working there are so sweet and welcoming. Throughout the trip we either stayed in 2-person or 4-person rooms and I really enjoyed the experience.
Activities: AMAZING. I mean, you could just stand in place and stare at your surroundings and be content with the beauty of the country, but we had such a variety of activities and somehow still had time for brief but much needed free/rest time. From boat island hopping, to beach lounging, to jungle/cave exploring, and plenty of cultural immersion, I don't see how you could get more breadth of experiences in a 10-day tour. I truly am so impressed with the planning and thought behind the itinerary.
Food: Great! As a person who loves to eat and is often hungry, I felt that we were always well fed. Breakfast was most often included with the accommodation (and if it wasn't there were plenty of great options nearby), lunch on the boats was always a DELICIOUSLY fresh and abundant meal cooked by the wonderful boat boys, and dinners were almost always planned by our tour guide for the whole group. I loved this aspect because I looked forward to eating with all of these people who quickly became my good friends, and also we were taken to the best dinner spots!
Tour Guide: BECCA IS FANTASTIC! I chose to do a group tour because, as my first time in Asia and travelling solo, I wanted to experience the Philippines with a group of people and to be led by someone who knew what they were doing. I was quite anxious leading up to this trip because of all the unknowns, but once I first communicated with Becca I already felt so much better. She is incredibly personable and in the weeks before the trip, she responded kindly and reassuringly to all of my little questions and concerns - this helpful supportive attitude continued throughout the entire tour. Because she has lived there for awhile, Becca knows Asia so well and I felt consistently at ease knowing that she was there for everything.
Every day, after almost every meal or activity, she'd ask "how's everything going? is everyone happy?" and she would remind us often that she is here to make our trip great and to let her know if we need anything. She is so easygoing and friendly and has clearly formed close bonds with the locals, which in turn made our experience that much more personal. Becca is also LOADS of fun - literally has what seems like infinite energy. Always down for a dance party, played awesome music the whole time, organized fun games to pass the time on some longer bus rides, and genuinely just made you feel like you were travelling with your best friend who had the inside scoop on everything. Though I have no doubt that One Life probably only hires the best of the best as their tour guides, I feel so lucky that I had Becca leading my trip! :)
Can't say enough good things about this experience. I was so indecisive and it took me way too long to finally decide on this tour, so my advice is, DON'T HESITATE ANOTHER MINUTE. BOOK THIS TOUR! :)
Did join a 10 days Phillipines Tour back in January and it was absolutely amazing. In such a short period of time One Life has managed to cover a lot and give a full overview of this amazing country. …Did join a 10 days Phillipines Tour back in January and it was absolutely amazing. In such a short period of time One Life has managed to cover a lot and give a full overview of this amazing country. Port Barton was definitely a hightlight, being not still a bit of a hidden gem, as not so many tourists go there just yet. Island hopping there was just something else! Really enjoyed our Philippino Experience one day, where we could get to know more about traditional food, dances and games of locals, would be great if during the tour we had a bit more of cultural background, as it's always beneficial to know more about the place you travel to.
And of course I want to say a big thanks to our tour guide Becca, doing her best in trying to accommodate everyone's needs and make sure everyone is having the best time.

Her enthusiasm and positive energy shone though every day and it’s no wonder everyone on our tour had such a fantastic time.
Becca also went above and beyond to celebrate 2 girls birthdays whilst we were away which I thought was a really nice touch. She really gave them a birthday to remember. The trip is brilliant, the Philipenes is beautiful, the people are amazing and the food is delicious. The only downside was there wasn’t much downtime. I think 1 more relaxing/ beach day would have been fab BUT the activities are so good anyway, it was great to see places that we probably wouldn’t have been able to without One Life. A personal highlight for me was staying on the remote island as that’s something I’ve never done before so I really enjoyed that!
The food was also delicious and I enjoyed every single meal. The accommodation was also really great, Elsa’s Cottage was cute too! 10/10 from me and I will 100% book another trip without any hesitation. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide than Becca, the tour exceeded all my expectations and she really took great care of us ❤️

She always makes sure everyone’s involved and having a great time and I’m so so thankful she was our guide. One Life is not only an ethical company but they are so well organised and use so many local businesses for the tour. There are heaps of activities and meals are included which is just the cherry on the cake. I would do this tour again in a heart beat, it’s been one of my best trips yet ❤️

I would recommend the tour to anyone thinking of heading to the Philippines, as everything is all sorted for you and you go to some great local spots and amazing swim/snorkel spots along the trip. One thing I would have liked to see was more information given each day as to what we were doing, to properly prepare myself with what to wear/pack/bring along. 10/10 trip overall. Will definitely look at travelling with One Life to their other destinations in the future

Being an extremely organised person myself, I think the trip could have had more structure for what the days ahead would entail. Potentially a small whiteboard that could be written up each morning with the days activities and rough times so people could take photos of the board and have it handy with them.
BUT - You can’t please everyone! Its just a suggestion for those who prefer more structure to their day
Thanks ONE LIFE for a wicked trip! Will definitely be recommending this trip to others back home!

Our tour leader ;) Becca ;) was amazing and energetic and highly organised. You can tell she really loves her job and has become good friends with the locals along the trip, which provided more opportunities to see real local life. Also really good with dietary requirements, in case anyone is wondering.
Anyone who has Becca as their tour leader should be very excited.

Becca was an amazing tour guide, from the first moment she collected us at the airport, right up until the last moment when we went our separate ways at the conclusion of the tour. She was inclusive of all, could willingly hold a conversation with everyone in the group and was always keen for a good time! I’d genuinely go on a tour guided by Becca again in the future and would recommend this to any person wishing to travel solo or in a group.
I actually rate this 6 out of 5 stars (not just because I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, but also an extra star to make up for the one star lost for personal reasons).

The schedule was organised, transport very comfortable, accomadation suited the wonderful locations we visited and the meals could not be faulted. Gathering point in Manila City maybe better suited closer to the airport, due to the traffic.
One Life Tour Guide Becca instantly made everyone feel welcome at the Z Hostel with her vibrant and energetic personality which never faded for the 10 days. Becca did an awesome job as our guide and certainly made the trip fun, would help anyone, great knoweldge of local areas.
The group was always friendly, enjoyable in company and fun anytime of the day. Kudos to the group, great time was had due to you all...
The local One Life Boaties and Manila Experience Village Tour were extremelly friendly, helpful and everything prepped to a very high standard.
Great 10 Day package put together by One Life led by awesome guide Becca, do it again in a heart beat with all the same peeps once my kidney and liver recovers.. A+

I have a nut allergy and Becca always went out of her way to speak to the chefs before each meal to triple check which foods I could eat. She’s amazing! Hope to travel with One Life again soon! :)

I would highly highly, recommend this tour! What a great experience and the tour group were all so friendly, bubbly and fun loving! My highlights were firstly meeting the group and having sooooo much fun on the first night! It kind of went a bit downhill for us after that though (our own fault!) as we drank too much and missed our flights with the group to Puerto Princessa. So, I highly recommend not drinking too much on the first night as you need to up at 5am the next morning.
My highlights of the trip (so many!) were the sailing around the underground river caves, spotting different sculptures which look like different animals, artifacts, celebrities etc! The tour guides made jokes and made it really interesting and fun for us!
Camping, or ‘glamping’ on our own private beach/island with the locals! The locals and our boat crew went out their way to make a proper feast for us which was delicious! The 2 day island hopping was by far the best experience I’ve had so far, we got to swim with turtles and pick up starfish! Just chilling on that boat with the sun and wind blowing through your hair was just mind blowing! We even had a few sneaky drinks and dances (The ‘git up’ was my fav!) I actually even enjoyed not showering for a couple of days and just washing in the sea (lmfao!)
Loved the Cultural experience and the couple who ran it were just fab! We played lots of Philippine games, learnt how to cook traditional Philippine food and learnt the traditional dance which was quite tricky but such a laugh, everyone had a go! We all decorated our little shot glasses and had a shot of rum at the end - the photos of us after the shot were priceless!
Zip lining was another amazing experience which blew my mind! I was pretty scared, even though I have sky-dived previously I found this quite nerve-wracking to begin with but once I was up there I wanted to do it again! Again, the zip-line crew were awesome, fun and helpful!
Due to personal circumstances, I missed out on the last few days of the tour, however I hold my hands up and admit that this was my own fault due to booking up to go on the tour with someone I didn’t know very well and ended up not getting along well with. However, Becca was very understanding and empathetic, she really does come across as someone way beyond her years with her wisdom and humanity! She went out her way to see that I was ok and tried to involve me as best she could and checked in on me all the time!
A couple of minor points for feedback was the trek to the waterfall...I can’t remember where this was...but I just didn’t think it was worth the trek! I’ve seen higher and more spectacular waterfalls in Australia and also the water was freezing, rocks were very slippery to get over to the waterfall and I ended up falling over!
Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience or tour guide! Every destination we went to was so unique and completely surpassed all my expectations! All 10 d…Although I've travelled a lot, this was the first time I tried an organised tour and did it mainly because I'd heard such good things about One Life Adventures and the reviews were excellent. All 10 days of the tour were action-packed with activities and everything from the transfers to the accommodation and meals was organised perfectly without any waiting around. We were lucky to have such as good group of people from around the world and it felt a lot like travelling with friends rather than with strangers. Our tour guide Becca was constantly upbeat and did all she could to involve the group and ensure everyone had a good time. If you want to sample the wonders of Palawan with a great group of people and \ well organised, fun company, this is exactly how to do it. Will hopefully be joining One Life and Becca in Japan later on in the year!

Yourself on the beach or in town. There was a good balance of sightseeing whilst also enjoy a few drinks every now and then. Our tour guide “becca” was the most outgoing and vibrant person I’ve ever met. She always had so much energy and got along with everyone on the tour. She worked hard to include everyone and managed to make us all feel like a family by the end of the trip. She works really hard to meet all the needs of those on the tour and never has a bad word about anything. She truly made the experience that much better and I am so grateful that she was my tour guide for the trip. Honestly amazing. A big thank you to One life and an even bigger thank you to Becca.

The tour itself was put together beautifully and at no point was I disappointed with an activity. I loved that I was able to experience things unlike anything I have before. I loved that I was able to experience things unlike anything I have before. The remote island for NYE was a personal highlight and I doubt I will have such an amazing opportunity again. I thought our tour guide Becca was bang on and managed to keep everyone happy with what was a large and particularly varied group. I cannot thank her enough for keeping spirits high throughout the trip even when energy levels were low! As well as for answering all my questions and having great knowledge of where to go and what to do. Overall a fantastic trip that I wish had never ended...

She made the trip fun, even when it was a 4 hour boring bus ride. We played games that helped everyone get to know each other, I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the Filipino experience day the most and the days on the boat snorkeling were amazing also. It was nice to see many different things, but also have some free time. Overall, the tour was great and I will recommend it to my friends!

I travelled with One Life Adventures from the 28th of December 2019 - 7th of Jan 2020. What more can I say than my trip was an absolute banger! Becca the tour guide was amazing. I’ve been on multiple …I travelled with One Life Adventures from the 28th of December 2019 - 7th of Jan 2020. What more can I say than my trip was an absolute banger! Becca the tour guide was amazing. I’ve been on multiple topdecks, contikis, Busabouts, etc and have never had a tour guide so friendly and engaged with all members of the group. At times, from my point of view I could see fellow tour members being a pain/cranky about stupid things which Becca handled incredibly well. She continued throughout the whole trip to make sure people felt included, spoke to different groups/pairs individually and overall was very approachable with anything anyone needed. I’d definitely travel with One Life again. Thanksssssss

However, I decided to go and honestly I can say it’s been the absolute best 10 days. Becca has been unbelievable, it’s more like travelling with a best mate rather than a tour guide. She’s a ball of energy and always makes sure everyone is involved and having a good time. Everything has ran so smoothly and the food, company, itinerary and Becca inparticular has topped any trip I’ve experienced so far. Words just do not do my experience justice. Until next time One Life and my new lil bestie Becca! X

Becca, our tour guide, is like no other, she is so amazing. Even before I started she was so friendly, approachable and helpful, after meeting her on day one I cannot fault her. Becca has gone above and beyond to bring our group together as a family and make sure we all had the best time. She has become more than a tour guide but a very good friend. I cannot recommend One Life highly enough, not only would I do this tour again with Becca, but if she changed location with One Life I would deliberately book on that tour with her. Becca has truly made this tour a once in a lifetime experience! Absolutely unforgettable!

I had the best time on tour in the Philippines. The activities, food and people were amazing! But above all our tour guide Becca was lovely - she was friendly and helpful from the get go, and througho…I had the best time on tour in the Philippines. She was understanding to my dietary requirements and went above and beyond to make sure I had the best time. I would recommend Becca and One Life to anyone who wants to travel!

This has been my second ever tour and I can honestly say it was the best 10 days of my trip so far!! Our guide Becca always adapted to the groups needs. When we wanted to go out for a drink or just go early to sleep Becca was always down for it. I was very happy she was our guide!

Great way to explore the Philippines . Becca was a really fun guide and it was very enjoyable - highlight was seeing in New Year camping on a private beach!
