About me:Ciao! I am Flavio from Padova, a beautiful student city near the more famous Venice, in Italy. I found my life path the day I decided to quit my engineering career to follow my passion for traveling and the happiness in sharing it with other travelers from all over the world. I have been lucky to have travelled myself in many countries, including Australia and New Zealand, South East Asia, South America, Russia and whole Europe. I am a foodie, I enjoy great food and wines, and I love cooking. Passionate about motorbikes, sports and nature. I look forward to meet you and show you around in a Backroads or Topdeck tours

My husband and I, know Italy quite well, however Flavio was able to deepen our love for his beautiful country, through his passion and knowledge of all things Italian.
Whenever possible the tour used back roads, which is the best way to see the diversity of the countryside. We stayed in a splendid villa in Tuscany, a monastery converted into a luxurious hotel and many fine hotels during our tour.
Our small group of fourteen, represented four nationalities but Flavio skilfully enabled each person to have a unique and pleasurable experience. Flavio also went out of his way quite often to assist members with problems not associated with the tour.
Through the busy and congested roads of Italy, we relied on our capable driver Augusto to reach our destination safely.

It took us to the places we wanted to see, provided the experiences we were after, in a small group with friendly and expert assistance. However with Flavio as our guide, we were provided with even more than we expected: he taught us the language, suggested further activities and restaurants and ensured that we developed the passion for Italy that he has (as well as the passion for travelling). In our particular case, Flavio even organised medical assistance and took a trip in an ambulance to the hospital where he remained with us for several hours at night to act as our interpreter. For this we will be forever grateful. We cannot recommend Flavio highly enough. He has a great sense of humour and encouraged us to have fun, but he was also professional and caring.

Flavio is so in love with his country, Italy that you can't help but fall in love with Italy also.
Flavio uses his deep knowledge of the areas we travelled through, to really make the place come alive with his anecdotes and interesting history facts and informal snippets.
He recommended several great restaurants and in Lucca, he suggested we attend the Puccini Festival, which was a highlight of our tour. He also negotiated a slightly cheaper ticket price for us as well.
Flavio is always thinking of ways to add fun and humour to the trip. He kept us informed about points of interest and kept us to time while still allowing plenty of time to head off by ourselves and do our own thing.
