My two friends and I loved every minute of our 8 day tour with Welcome to Travel and can safely say we’ve walked away having seen so much, met amazing friends and feel well and truly confident moving forward with working life in Australia! Claudia was the best possible tour guide, she’s so much fun and a friendly face that everyone knew they could turn to with any question or request! Without a doubt worth every penny!

Picked Melbourne as I like the quirk, art and music and Melbourne is a very colourful place and very much has an artsy vibe!
The package includes everything you need to now about everything and they even take you to the bank to sort an account, phone sim (just make sure your phone is unlocked!) contacts for farms all over Oz and great trips and connections.... I am so glad I did this! It's exactly what they say it includes!
The guide. We were fortunate enough to have Claudia as our guide for the week. The most passionate person you will ever meet about people and her home town Melbourne. Even though she's been doing this job for a few years, and has to do this same itinerary every other week, her passion for this country and Melbourne is infectious and you won't be disappointed.
I'm 29 and met people of all ages, backgrounds, couples, solo travelers and all from different countries. Its a scary thought to do somthing so big, but just remember everyone is in the same boat therfore you become a team with welcome to travel sharing insight and knowledge and a great way to meet people to continue your journey with!
Thank you so much to Welcome to Travel, you have offered a great introduction to this country and city and I have made freinds that will change my experience here for sure.

Literally words cannot explain how good this trip was, it was amazing from the moment I landed as you have someone waiting to pick you up at the airport and drop you off to the hostel.

The team was amazing and supportive throughout, literally no faults. The group I had was amazing and supportive we all got each other through the hangovers and the shocking rain we have had over the last week ( P.S it does rain in Australia so bring waterproof jackets) the best part had to be Phillip island where you literally get to watch thousands (and I mean thousands) of tiny penguins return home from there busy day feeding and you get to walk the boardwalk where you could be standing right next to one of the penguins.
All in all it was literally the best tour I have ever been on and if you are thinking about going with Welcome to Travel, just do it you won’t regret it.

I was arriving into Melbourne on my own, and I had lost my phone before I arrived so it was super stressful!! The value for money is incredible with everything that’s included, all the food and activities including a week stay at a hostel!! The activities were so amazing, the food was incredible (especially the dumplings in China town!) and I’ve had the best week ever. I did this tour with my girlfriend and it shows us everything we needed to know plus more. I arrived not really knowing what to expect, also a little nervous moving my whole life to the other side of the world and as a solo traveller they couldn’t have made moving to a new country/city a more enjoyable experience.
Everything was made so simple and easy, and I also felt within a few hours of being one the tour, I had my own little melbs family which I know I’ll still be in college tact with throughout my time in Aus!
Everyone goes on to do different things after the tour dependent on your travel plans. I personally, after having already been travelling before coming to Aus needed to save up some $$$ ASAP before Christmas and within two days of the tour ending I’m already set up with some farm work exactly as I wanted, and this would have been made a lot more complicated if it hadn’t of been for welcome to travel, so thanks very much to you all for that!
It’s nice to know that although the one week intro is finished, they’re more than happy to help with any problems or troubles I might entail within my time in Aus!
Because the groups are kept quite small, and the leaders managers etc have been through everything that they go through on the tour themselves, it is literally catered for backpackers who want to set up in a new country/city, so it’s perfect, they teach you everything you need to know and you have loads of fun along the way, as well as meeting fab new friends and a pretty messy (for some

They make sure u feel safe, confident and ready for your big adventure. The itinerary is fantastic and Claudia is the funniest guide I’ve ever had (speaking as a person who usually hate history end city tours). At the end of the week you get a one on one meeting where you can ask whatever and they will fix and answer pretty much anything (travel, work, bank, etc). Personally they helped me book hopefully the craziest 7 week trip with lots of tips and suggestions I would have never been able to figure out by myself. For me as a first time solo backpacker this was absolutely a must and I would recommend everyone in the same situation as me to do this tour:)

You get to tick off so many Australia must do’s in your first week and it really helps you get to know the city. Even if you don’t stick around Melbourne it’s great and they’re amazing with helping with onward travel.
I’ll definitely be recommending to everyone that goes to Australia and I’m so glad I did it :)

Highly recommended this trip. The guys were amazing from start to finish. Set us up with work for when the week ended. The team are so friendly and helpful, even before you even book onto the trip, never mind when you're actually booked on. The team are so friendly and you feel like you're properly looked after even after the tour is finished.
On the actual tour, I felt like I did so much and a lot of the things I did I wouldn't have even thought about doing myself and they were (in my opinion) some of the best parts of the week! They dedicate so much time to actually planning your what after. If you decide you want to do more travelling they look after everything for you and make sure you do everything you want (within budget). I'm so excited about what I've got planned next and I know that if I tried to book the East Coast alone I wouldn't be doing half the stuff I'm doing.
100% would recommend this tour! Amazing and fantastic staff! They're great, love them long time. My group was pretty ace too.
Gunna miss them.

The biggest issue for people moving to Aus is starting to build a new life for themselves but these guys take that worry and stress away. Couldn’t imagine starting this Aus trip without their help. The tours were very well organized and Claudia and Billy had a great attitude and amazing banter. The help we have also been offered going forwards to help us find work and continue to help with our travels is beyond amazing.

(Literally so many resources for jobs and farm work) The team of Welcome to Travel makes you feel comfortable and confident in your travels lifting the stress! The itinerary each day was filled with the best activity in Melbourne and I would of never done half of this if I didn’t sign up. If you are EVEN thinking about this trip, doooo it. It was one of the best weeks of my life!!! Surfing and seeing the kangaroos in the same day was unreal! If I could give more than 5 circle review I would. The entire trip was outstanding and blew the expectations I had out of the water. She even sparked an interest for me to move to Philip island because of its remote location and to have a nice area out of the hustle of the big city. After the tour they even helped plan my trip up the east coast as well and even helped save money on some of the expenses because of the places and people they know from traveling themselves!
Thank you welcome to travel you started my journey off right and I can’t wait to share with you how the rest of it goes!

Not only did they helped me in any way possible with how I should plan my travel through Australia and what I should see and do and which Hostels are best but they also helped me tremendously with finding work (what I wanna do, how I should apply, who I should apply to, etc.)and they still send you sooo many jobs you could do once a week per email. Not only did they help me with that they also helped me getting set up with my bank account and tax file number and got me an awesome deal with my SIM card for my phone.
But let’s not stop here
They also showed around Melbourne and Philipp Island and showed us things (Bars, Cafés, Street Art, Animals and other activities) that I would’ve never found if I wouldn’t have been in that travel group
I would highly recommend it to everyone who never went for work&travel to Australia and wants to start in Melbourne (which you should start in)

They go above and beyond to help you with your next step as well, whether that be future job prospects or imminent travel, which is so beneficial if you're on a Working Holiday Visa or something similar.
