Whilst the hotels themselves were excellent as far as accommodation and breakfast were concerned (except for the hotel at sukhumthai where eggs were obviously cooked very early in the morning and were…Whilst the hotels themselves were excellent as far as accommodation and breakfast were concerned (except for the hotel at sukhumthai where eggs were obviously cooked very early in the morning and were cold at 7-00 am .Maybe we were spoilt at other hotels in that a chef was provided to cook eggs as one liked along with omlettes and other asian delicacies on the spot )
Further the hotel at Chaing Ria was in a reasonable location considering we were there for 2 days and no early rises .As such time was available to explore the city.
Whilst the Holiday Inn at Chaing Mia was probably the best of all the hotels, its location was terrible in that it was about an hours walk to the night market.
The hotel at Sukhumthai was 4 kilometres from the old town and 12 kilometres from the new town.Terrible
Having said the above and considering the locations of the hotels it would have been helpful to have the tour guide advise how to get to the bustling townships ie by taxi or tut tut and the cost as your tours do not allow for a brief tour and advice as to the attractions in the various townships .Yes we see allthe temples and other tourist attractions however we do not see much of the local people.
Finally on the last two days of the tour we were left to our own devices in chinatown Bangkok.
It would have been nice for the tour guide to have given us a brief tour of Bangkok city and explained the best method of transport ie taxi or tut tut and even an explanation of how to use the rail system

The tour exceeded our expectations, it was a well planned itinerary with great hotels of varying styles and excellent top end food. Our guide was professional, attentive to our wishes and delivered on every request. Our minivan was always spotlessly clean and in good condition and the driver was safety conscious. We had a fantastic week seeing many hidden but worthwhile spots every day without having to do all the logistic planning and booking. We enjoyed every item on the itinerary and would not hesitate to rebook this tour.

Having a small group was great. The driver did a good job. I thought the guide’s English was hard to understand and the van/drive was really bumpy.
I’m sure I saw temples and markets, the silver and paper factories, I wouldn’t have experienced if I didn’t go on the tour.
The guide was very nice and accommodating. The time spent at each stop was perfect, not rushed but not too long either.

We especially enjoyed the ‘Death Railway’ and floating market. Accommodation seemed almost luxurious in most cases. A good trip overal.
