We saw so many magical, mystical, emotion-evoking things that it's hard to even comprehend. From ancient ruins where High Kings were crowned, to watching passersby while having great food and drinks at a street side cafe, to walking along a serene riverfront, to sipping tea while watching the sunset from a castle, to enjoying superb cocktails with new friends in an amazing library bar. And, that, was just the first day!
Experiences like feeling gale force winds against your face, as you stand next to a lighthouse on top of rocky cliffs that plunge down into the cold North Atlantic, are followed by strolls down winding streets lined with quaint shops, before ducking into a pub to enjoy some of the best musicians, fine ales or whiskies, delicious meals, and the nicest, friendliest people in the world.
The accommodations were perfect and allowed us to get a good night's rest everywhere we went. And, the included breakfasts were sublime and filling, which was needed for days full of activities. Activities like walking through morning fog so thick that you could barely see your outstretched hand, before the fog began to lift and we were treated to the breathtaking views from the Cliffs of Moher along with the sounds of buskers playing the uilleann pipes. Just to start the day. We trekked through lush forests to see pristine waterfalls, lochs, mansions, and the haunting Muckross Abbey, believed to have inspired Irish author Bram Stoker in his writing of Dracula! We traveled the scenic Ring of Kerry, visited Molly Gallivans to learn about the history of weaving woolen sweaters and their importantly identifiable patterns, and even sample some locally made honey mead and poitin (Irish moonshine)! We walked barefoot on beaches, saw Clydesdale horses, sang songs, shared stories, and had the most amazing time.
If you're a Star Wars fan reading this review, then I haven't even told you the best part. While some members of our group chose to stay on land and tour Valentia Island, we took a small boat, optional tour, out to the Skellig Islands (you know, where Rey and Chewbacca went to find Luke Skywalker in hiding)!!! We saw thousands of endangered birds that use one of the two islands as a sanctuary, and were joined along the way by a pod of many dolphins racing with our boat and jumping out of the water all around us!
Cows, sheep, horses, cows, sheep, cows, and sheep. Did I mention cows and sheep? Ireland is a relatively small country. It's only 175 miles wide and 300 miles long. It has a population of 5 million people. It also has 5.5 million sheep and over 7 million cows. Wow!
I haven't even mentioned Galway, Clonmacnoise, Puck the Goat King, the Charlie Chaplin statue, the Ford Model T statue, the scenic towns of Dingle and Lahinch, many more lighthouses, and so much more! All along the way, we learned a lot about the history and culture of this beautiful country from our fantastic tour guides, Andy and Diarmuid. You guys ROCK! We can't wait to visit again!!!

The tour was amazing, the guides were very kind and friendly. And the different sites were incredible. Thank you very much Wild N' Happy!!!

They live up to their company name! Andy, the tour guide, was engaging and regularly regaled us with history (some of it I even believe. lol) Diarmuid, the kayak guide, never lost his patience with the group, even after several of us went 'swimming' and he needed to get into the water to aid us. Finally, after one of the group had a medical issue (not related to the tour), Michael, the owner, came to the rescue, like a knight in shining armor. The tour is flexible and active. Love the small group size.

The itinerary was well thought out, our guides were knowledgeable, thoughtful and attentive and gave great suggestions regarding local pubs, live music venues, restaurants and other places of interest. The scenery was breathtaking and unique, and accomodations selected for us were excellent, as was the driving. We got to experience amazing local cuisine, meet with locals and really immerse ourselves in the Irish experience, learning so much about this beautiful country in the process. When the weather wasn't good on some days (too much fog that), we found alternate things to do. Other days were brilliant and sunny with spectacular views. We had a wonderful group of travelers and it was nice to see that so much attention was given to the comfort and needs of the travelers as we were a diverse age group. Many thanks to our lovely guides Andy, John and Finn. Thanks for making our trip special. Many of us left with a desire to visit again :-)

This tour did not disappoint! The tour moved quickly, hitting an insane number of sights - but was organized so well that we never felt rushed. Being part of a small group was a great way to go through the trip as well. Because our group size was only around 10 people, it was far more manageable for us to navigate some of the more crowded sights. Andy was a great tour guide, clearly very knowledgeable about all of the stops along the way and also very in tune to what the group needed and would want to see/learn more about. We were also lucky enough to have Finn, Matt, and John along for the tour while they were shadowing/training. Each guide was from a different part of Ireland, so the wealth of knowledge on our bus was incredible! In addition to being knowledgeable, our guides went above and beyond to make sure that each member of the group was comfortable along the way. 10/10 - would recommend this tour!

5 stars. Andy was great. Loved the itinerary and small group. The Abbey was wonderful. Loved the other guide but not sure how to spell his name. Wonderful overall trip.

His 2 day ''relief driver'' Diamuid was also a very friendly & helpful young man.
I also feel that the small group size (11 at first & then 16) was also good for 2 reasons: 1)it gave us all a chance to get to know each other well & make it a memorable experience, & 2)it meant that the size of the vehicle (16 seats or less) allowed the ''bus'' to get to places that normal tourist coaches can't access.

We traveled down the southeast coast to the Rock of Cachel, home of the ancient high kings of Ireland, and on to Cork City. On Day 2 we visited Mizen Head Peninsula, Ireland’s most southerly point close to where the Lusitania sank,, and drove on to Killarney. Day 3 had us playing hurling on Sneem Beach, climbing Bray Head, and overseeing the Skellings Islands that were featured in the recent Star Wars movie. On Day 4 we visited picturesque Dingle and the Slea Head peninsula with its wrecked famine houses of starved and emigrated families. Day 5 introduced us to Muckross Abbey, purported to be Bram Stocker’s inspiration for Dracula’s haunts, as well as Bunratty Castle where we saw a captain’s table salvaged from the Spanish Armada. On the 6th day we explored the Cliffs of Moher and the Wild Burren (a UNESCO world heritage site) where Neolithic tombs dot the landscape. Special thanks to our Wild South tour guides Diarmid, Andy John, and Michael and our charming Canadian and Kiwi fellow travelers!

I wanted a small group tour and I specifically chose a touring company based in Ireland because I thought they could provide local knowledge and perspective. I was not wrong! Andy, John and Diarmid drove us on different parts of the tour and shared their knowledge of the history, geography, geology and general information in great detail. Their driving skills on the very narrow lanes between hedgerows was incredibly skillful. I would hate to drive in those circumstances! They were never late and always communicated clearly where, when to meet etc. They are, without exception, a credit to the company and made the tour the success it was and I always felt safe when travelling.
We stayed in a selection of large hotels in some cities and smaller bed and breakfast type accommodation. The accommodation in the larger cities wasn't central but the view from the hotel in Cork made up for the hike up the hill. Taxis are available but I chose to walk. Doolin was my favourite place and the breakfasts were amazing. Being a single female traveller of a certain age, I prefer to stay in places closer to town centres, especially when having to walk home alone and late at night in rain.
One suggestion I would like to make is to send a summary post-tour of the places we saw and what we learned as it's a bit jumbled after the tour. There was so much information! Other companies that I toured with have done this and it helps to keep the memories alive. Another would be to end the tour after breakfast of the day after the last tour (as this seems to be a fairly common practice).
In summary, I want to thank the whole team for a great trip. I've definitely left a bit of my heart in Ireland.

Being a small group allowed participants to bond with each other , allowed flexibility and for us to easily integrate and participate in Irish culture without overwhelming experiences with a tourist presence . It was a tour of fun, history, culture and friendship and I would recommend/ use this company again.

The experience provided was above and beyond! The amount of locations covered is unbelievable. The size of the transportation vehicle was perfect! Not only does this tour allow you to travel to many locations in such a short time, but it really allows you to soak up the culture and the land. I can not wait until my next adventure back!

The Super 11 team were great and l am now on the look out for a potential Irish husband who has frontage and likes cups of tea. Andy was a gem. ‘11’

It was nice to get 3 different perspectives on my travels but may have preferred just one. The guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about showing us their country. You see so much on this tour and the guides are great at recommending trips and places to eat. It was also flexible and when the group wanted to include a stop that wasn’t planned we were able to stop which was great. Accommodation is hostels most were good only one I would not recommend but the guides always ensure that you’re okay. We had 5 people on our tour so it felt semi private which was great. All were around 30yrs old. I am definitely going to go back and travel with wild n happy.
