I would have liked to eat at more local places rather then some more tourist tourist/western based restaurants. I understand that some guests may want to eat western food but would have been nice to have the option maybe.

Although I think it will be much better if you have groups where lots do the island hopper and only a couple join on the east - just something to think about.

Some of the accomodation in the west could be improved to provide more value for money, but overall clean, friendly and good locations. Great experience for those who want a combination of adventure and relaxation. Jason was great fun, encouraged everyone to take part in the activities without making you feel pressured to do so.

I understand it can be a challenge to keep costs down and maintain quality experiences, minus the accomodation choices. I feel this has been well managed.

Overall experience was pretty amazing. every place we went to was picturesque and awesome. It was good having a relatively small group for the tour - It wasn’t a hectic. The quick pace of the tour means you really get to see a lot of the Philippines. In a short time with guides who give a great depth of insight into the places you are. There was a great friendly atmosphere within the group for the most part, which was built around going to places in the evenings that allowed al members of the group to enjoy their evening - no matter what they wanted from the night. Overall, a fun packed , mix of busy activities and time to relax and a great experience of the Philippines!

I joined the group after they had just completed the west tour but they made the effort to make me feel welcome. Jason was always in contact with me before and during the tour, was always happy to help with any problems and was always positive and enthusiastic when it came to day trips, games and parties. I really feel I’ve made some friends for life on this tour and look forward to meeting up with them and Jason in the future

There isn’t a thing I didn’t like about this tour. I enjoyed all activities and I experienced amazing things. I also appreciate the hard work of our group leaders. They always made sure that we have everything we need and they tried their best to make an awesome tour for us. I felt safe in this group every time. I can just recommend this tour to everyone. I met lovely people and some became friends. We made great memories together in a beautiful country which we will never forget. This tour and the amazing people I met will forever be in my mind <3

The combination of the group, the place, the itinerary and the group leaders have made this arguably the best trip of my life. Some of the views we saw and the activities we did were absolutely incredible. I felt we saw everything there was to see in the places we visited and the tour leaders made sure we were always safe so I was always comfortable wherever we were. The fact that we had a big group also made the experience 5x better. I got to meet so many new people from different places and had the chance to bond with people I’d never usually speak to. Ive fallen in love with The Philippines, with a huge helping hand from TruTravels and our tour leaders. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend 19 days. I’m so grateful to have been able to do this and I cant wait for the next one!

It was my first time away alone in Asia and the amazing tour group and leaders Justin and Jason made me feel real comfortable from the offset. I never felt uncomfortable, always supported and just had fun every single day. The tour guides Justin and Jason went above and beyond for us all and looked out for us whist ensuring we had free time, independence and loads of fun. The tour itself is very full on. My favourite part of the tour was the end in Siargao, surfing was amazing and just really loved the vibe of the place. Other highlights include Red Carabao, outpost in El Nido, Siargao and Port Barton. I really enjoyed my experience and can’t thank Justin and Jason more. It’s clear the genuinely care about all tour members and for my first time away I really appreciate it. Thank you <3

The west tour was packed with activities and great local nightlife. I thought the canyoneering was a great experience even for someone like me who doesn’t always enjoy heights and jumping. I was still fully involved upon the group and was able to participate fully. I also really enjoyed the option to scuba dive as suggested by Jason at Loves Resort. I panicked slightly at the start but the local guides were great and helped me get through my fear and fully enjoy my experience. I also really enjoyed Castaway as it was something I would have never usually done. Ive had so many amazing memories on this tour I cant even begin to describe them. Ive met some great people and done some unforgettable things I hope my next tours are just as good.

From day one I knew this tour would be amazing. I arrived the day before it started. There was a problem with my airport pick up and Justin helped me out asap. There was a problem with my airport pick up and Justin helped me out asap. Jason and Justin met myself and 3 others before the tour started for a few drinks which was really lovely as it was their night off before a long tour. Great first impression! Both Justin and Jason were great at letting us know what and when we were doing things. The west tour had so many good day trips and was full on but I loved every minute of it. During the west tour I must have had a reaction and my eyes swelled up but Justin went to the pharmacy and got some tablets. I liked that the east tour had more free time to shop and spend relaxed time with friends I made. My favourite place was Siargao. Amazing Island with great shops. I loved the final boat trip. I didn’t get to surf as I sprained my wrist the night before! Jason and Justin (who came to visit us) helped me and kept checking I was alright after. Both tour guides really made this trip they were so professional and good fun. I knew this tour would be epic it but I didn’t realise how much I wouldn’t change anything. I really believe Ive made some friends for life and I cant wait to see everyone again. I love my TruFamily!

I did one other tour before which was the intro travel Vietnam one and had such a good experience that I was afraid that anything following it up would be a let down. I did it anyway and I’m so happy I did. Everything on this tour absolutely topped anything else I ever did, which I didn’t think possible. The itinerary is just amazing and we saw the most breath taking stuff. But what truly made the tour for me were the group, Jason and Justin. Both of them made me feel so comfortable and at ease, for which I am incredibly grateful. They made the activities unforgettable and the nights out so much fun. This whole time, they’ve been a shoulder I can lean on, a non-judging listening ear and they made everything run so smoothly day after day while still being fun to hang out with. I really appreciated how passionate and involved both of them are about the company and about the tour and the places we visited . Jason gave us opportunities to join him in activities that weren’t a part of the itinerary and thanks to that I got my first diving class! The whole tour long they had our backs and were trustworthy. If there was a falling out in the group they were always professional and never made anyone feel neglected. All in all I enjoyed the tour so so much and I’ll definitely be doing more Tru Tours. Thanks for an experience of a lifetime <3

I am almost certain that the trip would not have been as good if we didn’t have Jason + Justin as our tour guides. The itinerary is very well balanced between activities and chill time. Highlights including the canyoneering as well as the endless island hopping with unreal sunsets. The group we had overall also made the experience better.

On the east tour Jason gave his best to make everybody feel comfortable. I didn’t get everything but my English isn’t the best to be fair. We definitely did a lot of great stuff every day in a good pace. I didn’t feel stressed at anytime. Jason on the east tour gave us optional things to see or to do. We did wake boarding and Diving which was really fun and definitely worth the money. All in all, I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends that normally never would! Thanks for all Justin and Jason who made this trip a blast.

He had good knowledge and history on different places on the tour. He did well to overcome obstacles on the tour including a cancelled flight - he was very level headed and handled the situation really well, we still had a Great day regardless and made the most of it. Overall I had an amazing trip and would recommend to friends, Im even interested at trying the new Philippines west tour Have so much love for the guys and felt so accomodated the whole time! #TRUFAM :)

All the activities are great, would have liked to see more of the actual islands rather just boat trips. Would rate 10/10 <3

The activities were great fun and challenging at times. Canyoneering is an incredible and terrifying experience, But Jason was so supportive and encouraging. I braved my fears and had the best day! Siquijor was also a unique and interesting experience, amazing beautiful island with the opportunity to do something very different - loved the faith healer experience. The boat trips + surfing were also good fun. The travel days are tough and can feel like a wasted day but I appreciate the Philippines is a big place + hard to get around - its why I booked the tour. Unfortunately our siargao flight was cancelled due to weather but Jason was quick to act and gave us options where possible, it was resolved quickly and led to a long day but we still have fun and made the most of it. Overall I’ve had an amazing time, Jason was always friendly + helpful and all the people on this tour were lovely. The one negative is day 10 (check out day) should not be included as a tour day because you don’t do anything, maybe make it a 12 day tour

All the activities were great and meant we saw a lot of each place in a short time period. Everything was ran really well with it being on time and all guides were amazing. Jason and Benji were both amazing hosts, bringing great energy to the group. I think we were lucky having a smaller group where everyone got on so it made long travel days more enjoyable. Especially the day where our flight was cancelled last minute, which Jason sorted so quickly as soon as the cancellation was confirmed and kept us all informed of our options and what was happening the whole time. I’d definitely recommend this tour to friends, special thanks to Jase and Benji for an amazing tour. The only thing I would change is the amount of time spent traveling and the final day being a check out day rather then activities activities being planned, even for just the morning as this reduces the tour by a day.

He went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. The itinerary could use some tweaking, but I’m sure that Tru will sort it out because they really care about peoples experiences.

Locations were beautiful, good activities, and nice balance between rest and travel. I feel like our small group of 6 people and 1 Guide gave us a better experience than if it was a large group. Our Guide Jason was excellent every single day. Any questions or problems were answered and solved. He looks after everyone. Benji, your tour guides assistant was very helpful in many ways, keeping atmosphere lively, among other things. The only improvement I would suggest is to think about traveling to from Siquijor to Siargao even if it means changing the tour a little bit. On our last day of our tour I lost my iPhone, and Jason went to great lengths to find it for me , looking for it on the road I lost it on. When I Lost all hope of finding it, he kept searching in his own time and found it as one of his friends responded about a lost phone and I am very grateful for it

Jason has been wonderful, so helpful and an all round sound fella! At first we weren’t sure if this tour was going to be as good as the others as there was only 3 of us on the tour but with Jason’s charm, organisational skills and general chilled vibe (along with the Philippines being the most beautiful place on earth of course) we had an unforgettable time! Ive already recommended this tour to my friends and will be coming back to do the Philippines west tour as soon as I have the money. Thank you Jason for all of your help, support and questionable dance moves! We hope to see you again soon mate!! :) The only thing I would add is to make the tour a tile longer to spend more time in Siargao to see more of the island such as the lagoons! This place is a dream!

Using local transport, restaurants, hotels, etc. Made the experience feel more authentic. Jason has been a very supportive tour guide throughout. Always bubbly and making sure we were all happy! He has helped us to become a true TruFamily!

Said this was due to the peak of tourists being there yet we did see a lot of other open spaces around. Will book with Trutravel again but I would make sure to ask and check about the accommodations before.

So many highlights what with the things I done for the first time to having so much fun with awesome people I met along the way and shared this experience with, Jason obviously included.
Canyoning by far was the best thing I have ever done, adrenaline filled and set in amongst the most beautiful scenery.
It was also my first set time diving (will not be my last as I have enrolled to become certified back home).What a incredible experience, as I battled my anxiety of being in the ocean, to go down and see turtles, sardines, puffer fish plus loads more which i done know the name of.
Jason was fantastic on this trip! he organised our days so well, looked out for us and ultimately was awesome to us all!
There was a couple of days where we couldn't do what we was meant to do due to weather, and Jason put himself out to organise alternative activities for us to do.
Jase picked put some kick ass restaurants for us all to eat at along the way where the food was simply gorgeous!!
He displayed excellent knowledge of where to go and what eat, as I had never tried authentic Filipino food before. That goes for across the board everywhere we went he would notify of history and local knowledge of places we went to and even passed on the journeys.
Outstanding trip and will most certainly not forget. already planning and looking forward until the next time.

I’d booked with a friend given the understanding it was a 0-99 all ages tour. Not so. More than a little unhappy with Tour Radar for the misleading information there- I’ve used Tour Radar before and loved it- but don’t know if I would trust them again now.
If I was rating this as a trip for 35+ I’d rate it far, far lower. As a backpacker /party /pick up tour it’s a good choice.

Activities were good but the accommodation was awful. Luckily I was travelling w a friend- in one hotel there was only a curtain across the toilet. And glass shower doors. We left the tour before the end as we did not fancy a 12 hour travel day starting at 4am. Back packers would probably be happy wit the trip.

Activities were great. Tour itinerary could benefit from more plan B activities in the instance of poor weather. Wakeboarding in siargao was a great option. Having more optional activities lined up for down time in siargao and siquijor could help. Overall great tour!

Always going above and beyond to chase down items of requests. The only hesitation I had was lack of activities in the original tour package presentation on the tour radar site. The trip was noted as 0-99 years old trip. It should be better clearly labelled as an under 35 backpacker trip. I really enjoyed diving in moalboal, sardine run and snorkeling. A real standout feature . Great to have a tour group that was, as whole, very interested in diving.Lots of good conversations and appreciation of the beauty, challenges and contrants of the Philippines.

A huge part of that is making the group gel well which Jason did an awesome job of and also had great energy to get everyone hyped up for the activities. My highlight of the trip was definitely the canyoneering, it was challenging for all levels which is awesome. Also a great way to start the trip to help everyone bond. The traveling between places wasn’t too bad except for the 12 hour travel day, glad that you leave early though so you still have the afternoon to chill out at the resort. The sardine run was also awesome, snorkelling was great but diving it was amazing. The surfing was also awesome but you need something else on that day as well to fill it up a bit. Bit sad that we missed island hopping due to weather but Jason did a good job of finding an alternative for us to do. The wakeboarding was awesome and also something great to try! Everyone gave it a go and it was definitely a good time. Overall the trip was awesome and I would definitely do another TruTravels tour. Jason did an awesome job organising the trip

We were very lucky to have such a great group of people who got along so well, so quickly. Jason was absolutely AMAZING as a guide and I will definitely ask to have him again on future tours. He was so on top of all activities, timing, transportation, etc. and was kind enough to go out his way to do extra things for us. All of his recommendations were awesome. All the activities we did were excellent as well. Overall I can say we all had a fantastic time on this trip and we cant wait for the next tour!

Without Jason as our tour guide, this trip would have not been as outstanding as it was. Jason took care of us the entire time and was super fun at all times. Even when things didn’t go as planned he always made sure to provide alternative options. 10/10 would recommend him as everyone’s future tour guide. Ive Loved the fact that you can join these tours so easily and the entire duration is effortless with everything taken care of day by day by our tour leader. All I had to do was turn up which was perfect, because I had zero knowledge of the Philippines before this! Good size group with plenty of people to chat to and share the experience with. It was really nice to have Dean on board as well. Group chat was a great idea and really useful. Jase and Dean are a 10 out of 10. You guys have been awesome! Can’t thank you enough for making this so fun, relaxed and memorable. Thanks for all your help with everything along the way, and good luck with the resort of your tours. Cliff Jumping / Waterfalls at Kawasan Canyoneering was the highlight of the trip for me, loved every second of it. I had a great time with this group and really looking forward to TruTravels Bali! I expected that with such a big group there might be struggles, but every single person was so nice and welcoming and they became family after day 1. The tour was planned out so well, and even the long travel day wasn’t so bad! I truely think the experience was as good as it was due to our tour leader Jason though because he brought us all together, got us excited about everything, and he was an overall awesome human being! It wouldn’t have been the same without his infectious happiness. My favourite part of the tour other then just chilling with the group was definitely the canyoneering in Cebu! It really brought everyone closer and was so freaking fun! I’m SO SO SO happy to have come on this tour and will be telling stories about it forever. Can’t wait for another tour in the future! After recently having a bad experience from travelling. I was unsure if I’d enjoy my trip, Jason made me and the group feel safe around the Philippines, and truely enjoyed our tour. I have regained confidence that I lost from my last travel and Jason played a huge part in that for me. The activities in the tour were amazing, especially canyoneering although I would have preferred longer in Siquijor. The group felt like a family and we have all really bonded throughout the 10 days here. I honestly couldn’t praise Jason enough!! He is the best tour guide Ive ever had!

Our tour leader Jason was a star all the way of the tour having a laugh at all times, helping us out and even got a birthday cake for me, pretty awesome when you are 12,000 km away from home. Best experience was the Canyoneering as the whole group become a family helping and cheering each other on. I’m truely gonna miss all this bunch of beautiful people and I hope it stays like this for a loooong time :)

Had an amazing 10 days touring a beautiful country. So many experiences and breathtaking moments too mention but chilling watching the sunset on Siquijor will live with me forever. So many experiences and breathtaking moments too mention but chilling watching the sunset on Siquijor will live with me forever. I feel the tour was perfectly balanced between activities, chill time and nightlife and I never felt rushed or that we stayed anywhere too long. Had an amazing group to share the experience with and already making plans to reunite in the UK. Special mention for Jason. The moment we met at the airport he has been an absolute legend. He’s funny, infectious, loves to party but has a serious side too. Everything ran like clockwork as he was always switched on to the group and ensured everyone got involved in their own way. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. He should practice getting better at drinking games though :)

Jason the tour leader was also fantastic, letting us know things for the day, a good laugh but terrible at drinking games haha the family got strong the more time we spent together. He always answered questions + took us to great spots. He also always asked u what we wanted to do and what time we wanted to meet which was great. Eve though we were one of his first tours, he shared great qualities and will make a great tour guide. He made our tour!
This tour was great and provided a good amount of activities + chill time, would recommend to anyone and was good value for money.

We endure some long days of travelling but Jason had prepared us for it, making sure we weren’t hungover or feeling bad. Jason is a top group leader, we had a lot of fun at all times and even when we had some troubles, Jason handled the situation fairly and professionally. The itinerary was amazing, we had some fun on days packed with activities but enough days to chill and recover as well. This tour was so good especially seeing all the amazing islands and I enjoyed every moment. The group was a good number of people so it was nice to actually get to know people well and become good friends. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
