The accommodation was very nice throughout the tour. All of the activities included were amazing. Fave activities were the surfing and the sunset bar on Gili T. An extra day on Gili would be amazing.

Such an amazing experience. Hard to believe we fit so many different activities and different places in such a short space of time. Either the surfing or snorkeling were my favourite. Had a very spontaneous night in Ubud which was great for bonding. We had a large group of 19 which was really good in terms of meeting so many new people, there was a great atmosphere and good vibes within the group at all times which was all down to our amazing tour guide Pedro!!! I feel I was very fortunate with our tour guide and group. We ended up like one big family!

Very funny people. My favourite activity was the temples as it was very cultural and interesting. The local guide we had for temples was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Could do with some more cultural days. There should be a non swimming option for people who don't know how to swim. I found it very hard to navigate the water with a life jacket therefore I missed an activity I paid for. Surfing was fine because I was able to stand up in the shallow. I very much enjoyed the afternoons off to explore the areas we stayed. I can't praise my tour leaders enough. Both Pedro and Dom were very knowledgeable about the culture/hotels/restaurants. They are a big part of the reason I had such a great time. They both know how to have a great time while managing to be organized and responsible when they need to be. Great balance of skills. They always went out of their way to ensure everyone had a great time. It was all around lovely.

Pedro was more of a friend than a tour guide. This was very disappointing as our last two tour guides in Thailand were incredible, catering to everyone’s individual needs in the group. This was very disappointing as our last two tour guides in Thailand were incredible, catering to everyone’s individual needs in the group. Firstly Pedro pressured us into going out and getting drunk, in Ubud he said if we didn’t go on the trek then we were ‘weak’ and on top of all that he was sleeping with one of the guests.
When we got to Gili he lost us as he went ahead when we couldn’t carry our bags. We got to the hotel and found out he wasn’t staying in his home stay he was staying in one of the guests rooms. This became disruptive when he brought a different girl back on the last night and all we could hear was slamming doors and stomping around. He was too hungover the next day to take us to the boat. I wouldn’t reccomened anyone to go on a tour with Pedro as he isn’t dedicated to his job as a tour guide and entertaining the group, all he cares about is paying for a new tattoo.

Our tour guide was highly unprofessional, openly admitting his only goal from working with Trutravels was to get money to fund his new tattoos (which he left the group for for 5 and a half hours to ge…Our tour guide was highly unprofessional, openly admitting his only goal from working with Trutravels was to get money to fund his new tattoos (which he left the group for for 5 and a half hours to get). This was very surprising having just completed the thailand experience tour where the guides were so passionate about their jobs and educating the whole group on the amazing culture of their country. The end of our tour was tainted by him leaving the group to get drunk with another girl he knew on the island and abandoning 4 girls to get the ferry back to Bali from Gili T having promised to help them, before leaving without saying goodbye to us. Having done another TruTravels tour, I am aware of how amazing they can be and how much of an impact the guides have on your experience, so it's a shame that the negative impact on the trip was not only out of our control but also a function of the Trutravels team.

The snorkelling in Gili was amazing. Got a bit sea sick but it was worth it!
Be warned! The sunrise Batur hike is brutal! Doing that made the rest of the day a bit of a chore. But worth those views. And a good challenge for anyone who is up for it!

Got to watch a champions league …This trip was a blast. Would've been nothing without Pedro xo. He made a good trip better. Knew how to get the people involved. Favourite activity was the surf lesson. Got to watch a champions league game with some locals on Gili T. Was a well rounded trip. Now i need to take care of my liver. All the way up.

Was an amazing trip with no dull moments. Always something to get up to. I loved the surfing most of all. We were kept informed by Pedro throughout the trip. Was a lovely time!

I loved the entire tour, my favourite activity was the surfing and snorkelling and getting to meet some sick people. I loved it all and the accommodation was the bomb, loved it.

As a long time backpacker I felt the food at some of the restaurants was a bit expensive however I know it wasn’t compulsory to and we could have eaten at alternative locations.

My favourite activities were the monkey forest which was so much fun, I got a lot of love from the monkeys.
The bikes on Gili were very uncomfortable and a bit broken.

My favourite part was definitely snorkelling and seeing the turtles in Gili. The trip was a good mix between touristy activities and relaxing.

This was my first experience of a trip like this and I have really enjoyed it, I feel like I’ve taken part in a lot of activities that I never thought I would do. The group were really nice and both Pedro and Grev made it entertaining and enjoyable. I loved that they both had such good knowledge of everything we did and it made it really relaxing not having to think for ourselves.
My favourite activities were the cooking class in Ubud as everyone got involved and the family that ran it were so welcoming and helpful. Also I loved the evening spent watching the sunsets on Gili.
I felt there was a good balance between organised activities and free time with no pressure from the group leaders or rest of the group to do anything you didn’t want to do.

Really enjoyed exploring Bali with the TruCrew. I feel like i have had a real taste of Bali and have especially loved all of the activities we have done. He was great at motovating the group and including everyone. Made it feel like a proper little family. I really loved the cooking class in Ubud. It was so cool to learn with an authentic Balinese family as they were able to offer little tips. Also, just being around Ubud was very fun. Had a fantastic vibe. It was great having Greg along for the tour with us, he had exceptional photography skills. I also really appreciated having a smaller group. Made it easier to get to know eachother!

His insane amount of energy is infectious, always getting us hyped for the day ahead. I don’t think it’s possibke to pin point one particular favourite activiites the cooking class, snorkelling, and surfing were so good. And the additional extras of the volcano walk completely made my trip. Both Pedro and Grev always went out of their way to make sure we were having a brilliant time. Having Greg’s awesome photography skills was a brilliant touch. We’ve got some great photos now to make sure we never forget the experience. 100% cannot wait to do a tour with Trutravels again!!

They had good knowledge of local culture and each destination we went. Was very nice having a smaller group of 7 people. Felt like we could get to know everyone involved. Having Greg taking the photos was a MASSIVE bonus.
I loved every bit of the tour especially the snorkelling, seeing the turtles and the monkeys in Ubud monkey forest. Can you tell I like animals?!?! Only complaint would be how fast the tour went. Could easily spend more time on this tour with the amazing people!!

I loved the cooking class. Nyoman was super friendly and fun. It was done in an amazingly chilled but educational way. The surfing was loads of fun as well as was La Favellas. The guys were both super helpful and acxomodating in allergies and the vegiterians options. They were flexible but real instigators of fun. I also loved the size of the group. Also a massive shout out to the guide (National Geographic photo level Greg).
