Reviews of 7 day Bicycle Tours
- Angkor Bike, Hike, Kayak
Thank you Siem Reaper for an amazing adventure. Professional guides sharing special experiences and locations. Phearon was our main guide. He was great. So helpful and friendly, and introduced us to the real Cambodia. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Cycling Vietnam: Hoi An package 5 days
We really enjoyed our trip biking with our guide Hoc though many paved paths between rice fields, vegetable farms and local villages and islands around Hoi An. It was flat easy biking and we met some locals making reed sleeping mats, rice noodles and took a cooking class. Hoc has a history degree and was able to explain the history of My Son, the ancient sanctuary and ruins of the Champa people. Our accommodation was great in a perfect location to explore the Ancient city of Hoi An. Hoc was very flexible. We enjoyed his company and he took a keen interest in our well being. We would highly recommend this bike tour.
- Northwest Vietnam Cycling to the “Roof of Indochina”
The Vietnam Cycling to the Sapa tour was a thrilling adventure that took us through some of the most picturesque landscapes in Vietnam. Over the course of [number of days], we pedaled through lush valleys, terraced rice fields, and remote villages, providing a unique and immersive experience.
What our customers ask about 7 Day Cycling Tours & Bike Trips
What type of accommodations can I expect on a 7-day bicycle tour?
You'll stay in comfortable 3-4 star hotels and local guesthouses picked for their unique character. Take Croatia's Dalmatian Coast tour - you get to stay right in the historic centers at places like Villa Nora in Hvar and Hotel Fabris in Korčula. In Spain, one of the highlights is spending a night in a beautifully restored 16th-century monastery in Caravaca de la Cruz. Other travelers on TourRadar often mention how much they enjoy these places because they offer a perfect mix of comfort and local flavor.
What's the best time of year for a 7-day bicycle tour?
It really depends on where you're going. Spain's Murcia region is great year-round with over 320 sunny days each year. For Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, plan your trip between April and October - September is particularly nice with temperatures around 75°F (24°C). If you're heading to New Zealand's Alps to Ocean route, you'll want to go from October to April during their warm season. Just remember to check the specific weather patterns for your chosen destination before booking.
What type of terrain can I expect on a 7-day bicycle tour?
The roads and paths vary a lot depending on where you're cycling. In Vietnam's Mekong Delta, you'll be on flat country roads passing rice fields. Ecuador offers more of a challenge with both paved roads and dirt trails through the mountains. One TourRadar traveler described their Mekong Delta experience as "peaceful rides along rivers and through villages," while another talked about an exciting "descent through cloud forests" in Ecuador. Most tours mix it up with different surfaces, and you'll usually cover between 22-43 miles (35-70km) each day.
How many hours of cycling should I expect each day?
You'll usually spend 4-6 hours on your bike each day, with plenty of stops along the way. In Vietnam's Mekong Delta, you'll cover about 28-34 miles (45-55km) daily, stopping at villages and markets as you go. The Ecuador Andes tour adjusts riding time based on the mountains and altitude. Don't worry if you need a break - there's always a support vehicle nearby, and other TourRadar travelers say they liked being able to ride at their own pace.
What's included in bike rental and support on these tours?
The tours provide quality mountain or hybrid bikes, helmets, and a support vehicle. For example, Adventure South gives you Trek bikes with front suspension and Shimano parts. Groups larger than 8 people get two guides. The support van carries your bags, spare parts, water, and snacks - plus it's there if you want to take a break from riding. One TourRadar traveler on the Croatia tour said: "The bikes were essentially brand new, and we had excellent mechanical support throughout with a van always nearby if needed."
