Notable stops include UNESCO sites like Bellinzona's castles, Glacier Express railway journey, and Mount Stanserhorn's summit. Package includes 3 dinners with wine, 13 breakfasts, and stays at premium hotels like Crystal Hotel St. Moritz.

- Days 1-2
Lucerne & Mount Stanserhorn
Start your journey in medieval Lucerne with its iconic Chapel Bridge and waterfront promenade. Take the solar-powered CabriO cable car up Mount Stanserhorn. "Getting to Mount Stanserhorn early is key - the morning light makes the French and German borders visible on clear days." Pack a light jacket since mountain temperatures run 10-15°F cooler than in town. You'll need about 2-3 hours to see the Old Town and Lion Monument in Lucerne.

- Days 3-4
Bern & Lake Geneva Region
Take the 1.5-hour trip to Bern and join a morning walking tour through the medieval arcades. Continue 2 hours to Gruyères to visit its hilltop castle with beautiful alpine views. Your day ends in Montreux on Lake Geneva. One visitor shares: "Time your Chillon Castle visit for late afternoon when tour groups have left - you'll have better photos and more space to explore."

- Days 5-7
Geneva & Zermatt
Start in Geneva's international quarter before taking a scenic 2.5-hour train to car-free Zermatt. A regular visitor suggests: "Book your Matterhorn viewing activities for your first morning, as weather can change quickly and you may need backup days." Visit the Klein Matterhorn platform at 12,740 feet but take it slow and stay hydrated to adjust to the altitude.

- Days 8-10
Italian Lakes & St. Moritz
- Days 11-12
Glacier Express & Grindelwald
- Days 13-14
Rural Switzerland & Zurich
12 Days in Switzerland, incl. Zurich and Bern
This 12-day trip takes you through six Swiss destinations including Zurich, St. Moritz, Zermatt at 1,620m elevation, lakeside Montreux, Interlaken between Lakes Thun and Brienz, and capital city Bern. You'll stay in downtown comfort accommodations with daily breakfasts and expert-guided tours of medieval Old Towns, Alpine peaks, and historic castles.

- Days 1-2
Zurich & Lucerne
Start your Swiss adventure in Zurich and take time to adjust to the time zone while exploring this easy-to-walk city. On day 2 catch a 50-minute train to Lucerne for a Mount Pilatus trip. You'll want to book the cogwheel train to Pilatus if traveling May through September. Outside these months the cable car is your best option. Remember to pack layers since mountain temperatures can change quickly even in summer.

- Days 3-4
St. Moritz & Glacier Express
After seeing Zurich's medieval Old Town head to glamorous St. Moritz. The next day take the famous Glacier Express to Zermatt. This scenic journey takes 8 hours. - Days 5-6
Zermatt & Gornergrat
- Days 7-8
Montreux & Geneva
Take the train to Montreux on Lake Geneva. You can visit Chillon Castle by boat from April to October or by train in winter. Spend the next day in Geneva just an hour away by train.
