10 Days in the Alps, incl. Munich and Venice
The itinerary features Germany's Zeppelin Museum and medieval Meersburg Castle before reaching Italy's Dolomites. Nine nights accommodation includes Hotel Drei Löwen in Munich and Best Western Plus in Verona, with Trento's palaces and wine tasting in Shakespeare's Verona.

- Days 1-2
Munich and Lake Constance Region
Start your journey in Munich. Take time to see the historic center before driving south to Lake Constance. The drive to Friedrichshafen is about 2.5 hours. Leave Munich by 9 AM to have enough time for the Zeppelin Museum. For Meersburg Castle, wear good walking shoes since the medieval steps are uneven. You'll get the best photos in late afternoon when sunlight hits the lake.

- Days 3-4
Lake Constance and Liechtenstein
Take the first boat to Mainau Island at 8:30 AM to avoid crowds. Visit the butterfly house in the morning sun when it's most active. At the lake dwellings in Unteruhldingen, bring a jacket since the lake breeze can be cool. The drive to Liechtenstein takes about 1.5 hours. Stop at the Vaduz tourist office if you want a passport stamp.

- Days 5-6
Innsbruck Area
The route to Innsbruck takes you through beautiful Alpine passes. Take the Nordkette cable car before noon for the clearest views before clouds roll in. If it rains during your walking tour, the Old Town's covered arcades offer shelter. A recent visitor shared: "The Golden Roof is actually best viewed from the café across the street - you can enjoy a coffee while studying the intricate details."

- Days 7-8
Dolomites Region
The road to Cortina d'Ampezzo shows off increasingly dramatic mountain views. Pack warm layers for Marmolada glacier. Even in summer, the summit can be near freezing. Visit the Museum of the Great War to understand the area's WWI history. The mountain roads have plenty of scenic stops, so plan extra time for photos.

- Days 9-10
Verona and Venice Finale
End your trip with stops in Verona and Venice. Schedule your Verona wine tasting for late afternoon when Arena crowds thin out. The final drive to Venice takes about 2 hours. If you have connecting travel, add extra time since Venice's water transport needs advance planning. Watch the landscape change from mountains to coastal plains during your drive.

9 Day Central Europe Itinerary, incl. Munich and Venice
This 9-day tour spans 5 countries—Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Italy—covering Munich, Neuschwanstein Castle, Innsbruck, Vaduz, Lucerne, Lake Como, Pisa, Florence, Montecatini, Verona, and Venice. See major highlights including a guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle, orientation walks in Innsbruck and Lucerne, a stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and free time in Venice. A drive through the Dolomite National Park and visit to the Andechs Monastery for lunch before returning to Munich wraps up the trip.

- Days 1-2
Munich & Neuschwanstein Castle
Start exploring Munich at Marienplatz to catch the Glockenspiel show at 11 AM. "The traditional Bavarian dinner in Munich was a highlight - try the Weisswurst with sweet mustard, but remember to peel the casing first!" Visit Neuschwanstein Castle the next morning. Book the 9 AM tour and arrive 45 minutes early to get your tickets. The walk up takes about 30 minutes. Skip the busy horse carriages and take the shuttle bus to save time.

- Days 3-4
Swiss Alps Adventure
Take a 4-hour drive through Austria and Liechtenstein to reach the Interlaken region. "The Jungfraujoch excursion was worth every penny - even in summer, the snow was pristine and the views incredible." Take the first train up at 7:30 AM to avoid crowds and get better views. Bring warm clothes since it stays below 32°F at the top even in summer. Visit the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne around 8 PM for the best sunset photos.

- Days 5-6
Italian Lakes & Tuscany
The trip from Switzerland to Lake Como takes 3 hours. Stop for lunch in Bellagio but walk up to the higher streets for more authentic restaurants away from tourists. When you get to Florence, "Get to the Duomo by 8:30 AM - lines are shortest before the first tour groups arrive." Skip the leather demonstrations and go to San Lorenzo market for better leather deals.

- Days 7-8
Venice & Return
Take an early train to Venice to make the most of your time. "Skip the overpriced gondolas and take the #1 vaporetto down the Grand Canal at sunset - same views for €7.50 instead of €80." On your way back to Munich through the Dolomites, stop at Lago di Landro in late morning for perfect mountain photos.

What people love about 10-day Germany and Italy tours
- Scenic Europe
The Itinerary was wonderful but due to traffic jams which are unpredictable, it left some destinations with too little time to appreciate more than a couple of photos. Florence was one example. Adding one more day may have given us that time. Levi worked very hard to accommodate a very diverse group. His extensive knowledge of history and language added another level to our understanding of the places we saw.
- Western and Central Europe: Venice, the Alps & the Flavours of Rome
My first travel experience in a tour group and it was incredible! The pace of the tour was perfect, we were able to enjoy the places we stopped while still seeing a lot of variety. I also appreciated how much independence and free time we had to make our travel experience our own. Our tour guide Claudia was beyond amazing! It was incredible how organized and knowledgeable she was. She set such a fun and upbeat tone for the tour, and was able to connect with each traveller in a unique and meaningful way. She had spot on recommendations for whatever we were looking for, and really made the tour. Thank you Claudia and G Adventures!
