10 Days in Bali, incl. Canggu and Gili Islands
A well-crafted 10-day itinerary splits time between 3 days in Canggu, 3 in Ubud's cultural center, and 4 in the Gili Islands. Each day balances included activities like temple visits and cooking classes with free time for optional adventures or relaxation by the pool.
- Days 1-3
Canggu & Southern Bali
Begin your journey in Canggu, Bali's trendiest beach destination. Head to La Brisa eco beach club for your first evening sunset. Get there by 5:30 PM to find good seating. A fellow traveler shared: "The sunset from the rooftop was incredible, and meeting everyone over dinner really helped break the ice." Day 2 is perfect for visiting the famous sea temples of Tanah Lot and Taman Ayun. Visit Tanah Lot at 8 AM to avoid tourist crowds. Bring a sarong and dress modestly. You can rent them there but bringing your own is more convenient. Spend your afternoon exploring Canggu's local cafes and shops. Start Day 3 with surfing lessons at Kuta Beach. A recent visitor mentioned: "The local instructors were so patient. Even complete beginners were standing up by the end of the session!" Remember to put on sunscreen 30 minutes before getting in the water. The Bali sun is strong even on overcast days.

Ubud
The trip to Ubud takes about 1.5 hours. Make a stop at Tegenungan Waterfall on your way. Bring water shoes since the rocks can be slippery. Book accommodation near Monkey Forest Road for convenience. Begin Day 5 with a cooking class. Visit the local market at 7 AM when it's busiest and learn to cook local dishes like nasi goreng. Visit the Sacred Monkey Forest later in the day. Keep your bags secure and avoid making eye contact with the monkeys. Explore the Tegalalang rice terraces on Day 6. Get there by 8:30 AM for the best photo opportunities. Visitors often recommend getting a guide: "Understanding the ancient subak irrigation system really brought the terraces to life."

Gili Islands
Take an early fast boat to Gili Trawangan. The trip takes about 2 hours. Book morning trips since afternoon waters can be rough. Remember there are no cars or motorbikes on the island. Use Days 8-9 for island hopping and snorkeling. Look for turtles off Gili Meno between 9-11 AM. One traveler said: "Swimming with turtles was surreal - they came so close you could almost touch them!" Spend your final morning on the beach before leaving. Important note: If you're flying from Denpasar, book flights after 7 PM since boat schedules can be unpredictable.

Cairo & Giza
Land in Cairo and take a hotel transfer from the airport. On day 2, get to the Giza Plateau by 8am to avoid crowds and intense heat. "The morning light makes for the best pyramid photos before the day gets too harsh." Visit the Step Pyramid at Sakkara in the afternoon when it's less busy.

Aswan & Nile Cruise
Book a quick flight to Aswan instead of taking the bus. "The flight upgrade was worth every penny compared to the 14-hour bumpy bus ride." Take a boat to see Philae Temple, then start your Nile cruise. Consider the Abu Simbel trip even with its 3am start time. "It's a bucket list site that shouldn't be missed."

Luxor's East & West Banks
While cruising to Luxor, stop at Kom Ombo Temple. Visit Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank. "Go to Valley of the Kings first thing in the morning before it gets crowded and extremely hot." Plan for at least 2 hours at Valley of the Kings. Most visitors say they need more time here.

Red Sea Resort at Hurghada
Take a break at the beach in Hurghada. Book water activities through your hotel for better quality. "The snorkeling was incredible but avoid the crowded party boats - opt for smaller group tours for better reef access."
- Days 9-10
Return to Cairo
Head back to Cairo. Flying saves time over the bus option. Start early at the Egyptian Museum to avoid tour groups. Finish at Khan el-Khalili bazaar. "Come prepared to bargain hard - start at 30% of initial asking prices." Book flights after 3pm to avoid morning traffic jams.

This is a great tour of Italy. The local guides were excellent. The tour company was responsive and helped when we ran into issues, our train was cancelled and they got us tickets for another train quickly. The accommodations were nice. The sights you see are incredible.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Incredible Bali Experience with True Travel! I recently completed an incredible trip to Bali with True Travel, and I can honestly say it was one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised, the places we visited were amazing, and there genuinely wasn’t a dull moment throughout the trip. One of the biggest highlights was the variety of experiences we got to enjoy. We had the opportunity to cook traditional food with a local family, which was a fantastic way to experience the local culture. I also tried surfing for the first time, and the instructors were excellent, making the experience enjoyable and helping us feel comfortable giving something new a go. The Gili Islands were absolutely incredible, especially riding bicycles around the islands, taking in the beautiful surroundings, and enjoying a diving experience. Every destination offered something different, exciting, and memorable. The itinerary was fantastic, with a great balance of activities, cultural experiences, adventure, and relaxation. What I particularly appreciated was that everything was organised for us, while we still had plenty of free time to explore independently and do our own thing. It really was the best of both worlds — enjoying incredible experiences as a group while also having the freedom to discover places at our own pace. The food throughout the trip was excellent, and the accommodation exceeded my expectations. Every place we stayed was fantastic, and some of the accommodation was among the best I have experienced on my travels. The organisation behind the entire trip made everything feel smooth and stress-free. A special mention must go to our guide, G, who was outstanding throughout the journey. He was friendly, kind, approachable, interactive, and genuinely caring. He made sure everyone felt included and looked after, was always willing to help, and went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable for everyone. Having a guide who is so passionate about what he does makes such a difference, and G was a huge part of what made this experience so special. I would also like to thank Sachin and the entire True Travel team for their excellent communication and support, including arranging my pre- and post-trip accommodation.
