Just completed the 10 day tour of Cambodia. Our tour guides Allana and Ali were superb. Both were very attentive and remained positive throughout. Whilst I am a bit of an old boy (47) in comparison …Just completed the 10 day tour of Cambodia. Our tour guides Allana and Ali were superb. Both were very attentive and remained positive throughout. Whilst I am a bit of an old boy (47) in comparison to the rest of the crowd, I was made to feel welcome by all concerned. My only criticism was that I felt the holiday was more about the drinking, rather than seeing Cambodia. Lets be fair, I could have stayed at home to get smashed and saved myself a couple of grand!! With this in mind, Tru Travels need to remember that people will adjust their drinking if they know they have an early start and I felt that more could have been achieved from the tour, if the days started at 9, rather than 11. Also, a deal should be arranged with the Hostels where water bottle are refilled for free (obviously, built in with the price) as this would reduce the amount of plastic water bottles purchased in a country already strewn and littered with plastic. In addition to this, a tour should be about understanding the cultures and lunch stops should be made at local restaurants / villages where the real Cambodian population can be met and our spending make a real difference, not at the commercial places or within cities. I am aware that the tour is being re-looked at and I really hope that a little more culture is included within the new trip.

He always found a way to make the group laugh and make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The tour was great, all the hostels we stayed at were nice and clean and all great fun. Overall I loved every second I spent on the tour and was very grateful to have had Phy as my tour leader. 10/10. Great bloke

He made sure that everyone got to make the most…Just finished the Thailand - Cambodia tour and it was absolutely amazing! Every person in my group was really lovely and our tour guide Phy was awesome. He made sure that everyone got to make the most of every activity available and generally kept everyone happy! Would highly recommend this tour :)

I'd never done a tour before so didn't know what to expect but there was so much to do and it was really we…I was travelling alone so decided to go for this trip and it was an amazing couple of weeks. I'd never done a tour before so didn't know what to expect but there was so much to do and it was really well organised. Phy and Dave could not have been better guides! I had such a great time and would recommend this trip to anyone!

The tour contains everything that you would want it to, has a great balance of culture, beaches and partying and doesn't…Did the 16 day Thai-Khmer Explorer with Dave and Phy and had an absolute blast. The tour contains everything that you would want it to, has a great balance of culture, beaches and partying and doesn't miss out anything on the way. Dave and Phy were amazing the whole way through and helped us every step of the way. Left the tour with a bunch of new friends, including the tour guides themselves. Cannot recommend Tru Travels and Dave and Phy enough.

I was on the 16 day thai-khmer tour with David and Phi as guides. The tour was so much fun and there was so many things for us to do that there was never a dull moment. From drinking/partying to chil…I was on the 16 day thai-khmer tour with David and Phi as guides. The tour was so much fun and there was so many things for us to do that there was never a dull moment. From drinking/partying to chilling to seeing cultural sites; everything was well organised and loads of info provided to us. Would definitely recommend this tour to someone who wants a mix of partying, relaxing and culture.
Special thanks to Dave & Phi. Both are so laid back they just merge into and become part of the group, joining in with all the fun yet keeping everything running smoothly, even when there were any unplanned interruptions (weather, people getting ill etc).

Chose to do this tour due to never setting foot in South East Asia before and thought this was a safe bet, I wasn't wrong! David, one of our tour guides, picked us up from the airport and we loved him…Chose to do this tour due to never setting foot in South East Asia before and thought this was a safe bet, I wasn't wrong! David, one of our tour guides, picked us up from the airport and we loved him from the get go, helped with anything and is such a great bloke! Thailand was amazing especially Rayong, no tourists and I will never forget the great crew at the Drift Bar! Cross the border to Cambodia to carry on the tour and meet Phy, our other tour guide, who is from Cambodia and he also is a great guy! Good to have someone there who speaks the language and can help with anything i.e how much a tuk tuk should cost etc! Phy is a great laugh just like Dave and both are a credit to Trutravels, didn't look at them as tour guides but friends we met on our journey and I think that's the beauty of them being great tour guides!! The places you see on this tour are beautiful, fun, historical and cultural so a great mix!! Be prepared to party every now and then and have a good time! Loved every minute and have met some great people along the way!! I recommend the tour hugely!! Big 5 stars to everything!!!

I have had tours before but this tour had the best value for money, it was awesome. So many great things we did and our guides david and phy made sure we where happy 24/7 . They did more then was expe…I have had tours before but this tour had the best value for money, it was awesome. So many great things we did and our guides david and phy made sure we where happy 24/7 . They did more then was expected of them and made this trip a once in a lifetime experience. Love you guys and reccomend this to everyone who loves to have fun and still learn alot about the countrys you are travelling!

Had an amazing trip round Cambodia took away all the hassle of organising trips and buses as it was all taken care of. Dave and phi made the trip even better by providing information and a fun , safe atmosphere with lots of opportunity for drinking. The trip also allowed us to go to places which we never would have been too if doing the trip on our own. Would highly recommend for travellers and hopefully will be looking at more trips organised by tru in the future

Just got back from the Monkey Ladder trip with Tru Travel, it was awesome! The guides Dave and Phy were both brilliant, and the trip was the perfect way to see Cambodia!

Just arrived back from the 16 day Thai-Khmer experience. We had a great time and feel like the trip is a great introduction to SE Asia. There is a good balance between relaxation, partying and culture…Just arrived back from the 16 day Thai-Khmer experience. We had a great time and feel like the trip is a great introduction to SE Asia. There is a good balance between relaxation, partying and culture and the trip is great value for money. Our guides (Dave and Phy) added great value Becuase they were very knowledgable and ensured you made the most of your 2 days in each location, taking you to places you would never find yourself. They also introduced us to lots of people at each location which made us feel at home and settle in quickly, something that would not happen if you were travelling by yourself. The guides will also go out of their way to help you, for example Dave organised all of our transfers and accommodation for after the trip Becuase we weren't sure what we were doing. For a relatively short trip you also make some great friends and I hope we stay in contact in the future. Cheers guys, Tom (Life jacket).

This is a fantastic trip! You get to really see Cambodia which is so interesting and different, as well as visiting some great places in Thailand beforehand. The highlights for me were the waterfalls …This is a fantastic trip! You get to really see Cambodia which is so interesting and different, as well as visiting some great places in Thailand beforehand. The highlights for me were the waterfalls in Rayong and the hostel on a deserted island (koh rong). Dave and Phy were both brilliant, really knowledgeable and organised. The accommodation was also far better than I expected, all the rooms had A/C and clean bathrooms! If you only have a few weeks, this trip is perfect as you get to see a lot of South East Asia with activities, transport and accommodation all done for you! :)

The tour guides were all great, and all found the perfect balance between being super helpful guides while also being a really great bunch of people to hang around with and spend time with
