About me:I am half Australian and half Swiss (grew up in Aus). I have been living in Europe for over five years now and loving every moment of it. When I first came over to Europe I did my very own Topdeck Tour and could not have loved it more. To me, being a Trip Leader was the ultimate dream job. So luckily enough for me, I'm now doing my dream job. I do it so I can meet amazing people, and I have met more amazing people than I ever could have possibly imagined

We were lucky enough to have Jess as our trip leader, who is simply gorgeous and so approachable and knowledgeable. She is so enthusastic and passionate about what she does, and any time we had any sort of query, she had the answer! Her recommendations were always exceptional too (Mexican food in Ljubljana?!). We visited wonderful places and had some magical experiences (my first snowfall as we arrived at night in Engelberg!), and the food was fantastic too (pork knuckle at Hofbräu Berlin), and made a bunch of new friends. There was so much we wanted to see and do in Europe, and I think for our first trip, we did it the right way :)

I went on the 24 day Western Compass beginning December 2017 and ending in January 2018. A time of year where you would miss your family over christmas and new years but nonetheless I had a great time…I went on the 24 day Western Compass beginning December 2017 and ending in January 2018. A time of year where you would miss your family over christmas and new years but nonetheless I had a great time :) Jess as a tour leader made the trip all that better too. Always fun, smiley, chirpy and bubbly and she also had the BEST playlist tunes playing on the topdeck bus. Jess was easy to speak with, ask questions anytime and she was also very knowledgable and passionate about the places we visited on the tour. Passionate being the key word which relayed into how she spoke about sights, cities and countries we visited making learning about the history of these places memorable rather than something you hear then automatically forget. Jess was also really great about my dietary requirements , being vegan I knew it would be a little more difficult when it came to shared meals with the topdeck team but she always made sure that I was able to eat (She even brought me a bag of goodies to keep me going throughout the trip since one day I couldn't have anything for breakfast).

What made it so great was our amazing Trip Leader, Jess. She knows so much about the countries you visit, the history and where to go off the beaten track.
She genuinely loves what she does and it shows! The fact that she organised close to 40 people everyday is a feat in itself, and she did it with a smile. Jess has a great sense of humour so she's always approachable and up for a laugh, we loved hanging out with her.
Basically, a huge shout out to Jess for making our trip one of a kind and such an unforgettable experience! Thanks so much :)

What made our tour so amazing was our Team Leader, Jess. She knew so much about all the places we visited, she genuinely loves what she does and it shows. Jess would go the extra mile to make sure everyone was having a great time. She has a great sense of humour so was really approachable and so much fun to be around. This experience really wouldn't have been the same without her! So, a massive shout out to you, Jess! Thanks :)

As it was my first time travelling, Our guide Jess was an enourmous aid in determining all the good places to visit. Jess was always enthusiastic and lifting the groups spirits whenever we where tired/ crabby. My favourite part was the opportunity we had to immerse ourself of all the different cultures, Jess being a wealth of knowledge, we where never left with questions unanswered. I also enjoyed the opportunity to participate in activities I had never imagined I would, my favourite being Night Sledding, karaoke dinner and celebrating Christmas/New Years With our group in a different country. It was a unforgettable experience that I wish I could repeat. The memories made and friendships gained on the trip will always be treasured for many years to come. I can only hope my next trip will be equal to or even better.

Our tour had an awesome variety of activities with time for people to do what they want. Absolutely incredible sights and jaw-dropping experiences I will never forget! Highly recommend!

Everyday was something knew and exciting and Jess would always begin our day with awesome tips, recommendations and history!
I was very nervous to book into a Topdeck whilst travelling solo, but I can honestly say it's one of if not the best trips I've ever had and a lot of that had to do with the fact of feeling safe in the group and in great hands with having Jess as our group guide!
I truly hope one day, the next time I book a Topdeck Tour, that I get the awesome Jess as my tour leader!

She had the best suggestions for food and restaurants and was always there to help and provide sight seeing ideas and attractions and maps everywhere we went. Her walking tours were the best we went on by far and her enthusiastic, bubbly and positive attitude lifted the mood of the group every day.
I am sure that we wouldn’t have had the most amazing time we had on our tour if she hadn’t been there to guide us through it all and hadn’t be so willing to help us with any questions we had. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

We visited 18 countries in 33 Days and I cannot explain better value for money with all the stress removed from our shoulders. Our tour guide, Jess, was absolutely amazing! Throughout the whole trip she went above and beyond to ensure we were all looked after and everything flowed smoothly for all her passengers! It felt like we were one big happy family and the trip really exceeded my expectations. Jess made everything easy. We did a quick tour in each major city upon arrival and she helped us set up our bearings before we could go out and explore! She was so very knowledgeable and gave us heaps of insider tips - which were lifesavers at time. Most of the accomodation is great with a few tiny box rooms which is to be expected in Europe. Overall it's super fast paced with quite a bit of bus time, but I don't think there would have been a better way to introduce Europe and we loved every moment!!!!

The best things about having Jess as our tour leader is how you can tell that she genuinely cares about each and every person in the group, especially their safety and quality of their experience. The enthusiasm and excitement that comes through every time Jess was talking to us about the next city was as if it was her first time there even though she had been to some places several times, her alround great vibe and guidance made the trip that much better, not just as a tour guide but as one of the group. A trip I'll never forget!

Her past experience and knowledge is fantastic, from the history of each country, to its places, buildings and famous people which really brings the whole experience to life. It's also the little things that make a huge difference to your trip, like recommending places to visit and foods to try and navigating on the public transport systems which helps you feel more confident and allows the best use of time to maximise all the experiences on offer. She could explain in great detail the history of each city but would also point out some hidden gems, like the shop that has 150 flavours of gelati. Jess and our bus driver Victor were a great pair and their positive attitudes really got us through long bus rides. Jess showed genuine concern and offered help when anyone was sick or in a sticky situation. She's also a good singer and looks 10/10 in a dirndl! I feel very lucky to have had her as my trip leader. I would definitely recommend the trip to others and am having withdrawals already!

She not only helped make every part of the journey exciting, but always ensured we were equipped with the necessary knowledge for the countries we were entering.. I loved every second of this trip, especially all the amazing friends that I made and the phenomenal activities we got to experience such as paragliding, canyoning and all the bike tours! Ion was an amazing bus driver too, every trip was so comfortable and smooth! The majority of the accomodation was great, only a few places such as Avignon, Amsterdam and Prague that were below my standards. There were some amazing places we stayed in, especially Barcelona and Nice as they were extremely modern and central.

A tour th…Topdeck is firstly such a great way to see Europe. Tour is planned so that you see everything you need to see, with enough free time that you can create your own fun. It's worth every penny. A tour though, I think, is only as great as its leader and Jess was as fantastic as they come. As we crossed the border into each new country she was already teaching us something new about its history, and with such enthusiasm and in such a relatable way that it made it easy to listen to and take it all in. It added an extra dimension to every city, being able to walk around a foreign place and recognise historic landmarks and meanings behind them whilst you're there is something special. Seeing the passion in Jess' eyes and hearing it in her voice about what she was doing, made tour every bit more exciting. You could tell she wanted everyone to feel comfortable and really make their most of their time on tour, she would often buy everyone on the bus a little keepsake from each city which was unbelievably generous. She was patient, she was kind, and she was HILARIOUS and I believe the experience was what it was due to Jess as well as Jani. Everyone on our Winter Express tour really lucked out having them on board, and I can't thank them enough for all the wisdom, fun, and laughs they shared - as well as not kicking us off the bus!!!

The tour ended up being the best thing I have ever done, our fam was so lucky to have jess as a tour guide, her warm and friendly personality instantly made everyone feel at ease from day 1. Jess shared her knowledge of the different countries and cultures and was also willing to help us plan our free days making sure we made the most of our time in each place. Jess was more then a tour guide to our group she was our friend always coming out with us and ensuring we were all having the absolute best time. My enjoyment of this trip is in huge part thanks to Jess she was an amazing tour guide and friend.

I was quite hesitant to go on this kind of tour, but from day one Jess managed to alleviate all my concerns. She had the perfect line between friend and guide. She was able to teach us comprehensive knowledge about each place - whether it be trivia, history or the basic language, we always felt prepared for the next destination! But she was also able to be a friend. She got to know each of us personally and ensure we were always comfortable. A stand out for me, was that she went above and beyond to meet my dietary requirements for each meal. As a vegan in Europe this meant so much, and showed she really cared! Whether it be running games on the coach, planning surprises for people's birthdays, telling us the best hidden spots in each country, or helping us plan an itinerary on our free day - Jess went above and beyond to make sure we made the most of our experience. My topdeck was one of the best experiences I've ever had, and Jess was a huge part of why it was so special.

Very organised so I felt safe like I was in really good hands! She gave us the right amount of informative and relevant information about the countries and cities we were visiting and even gave us language tips! She had such a great playlist! Always had the right song for the right mood and scenery!! She really did such a fantastic job and coped so well when half of us got stick canyoning she really handled the situation so well! Loved Jess she was so kind and fun and she really ensured we had a trip of a lifetime!!

Everything I wanted and more from 2 and a half weeks around Europe. It was a fast paced trip, but our guide and driver did their best to help make it as relaxing during the downtime as possible. Jess, our tour guide, really knew her stuff, and gave us the perfect amount of information to add context and history to our surroundings, but not so much that it was an information overload or boring. She was very friendly and accommodating to everyone, and made sure that everyone felt wanted and looked after on the trip.

I had a few instances were I was in trouble in some countries, physically. Jess helped me find police stations and sat with me in the ambulance until I was transported off (she only left because she was told she couldn't come) with tears in her eyes. I can honestly say I had the most traumatic experience on tour but Jess was the most amazing rock and support, it felt like I had family with me in Jess. She still has helped me with documents I have been sent regarding this experience, providing her assistance in what to do and where to go. Jess easily organised and supported me through the most memorable holiday I have had and probably will have

Jess had a huge …Best experience of my life! And to be perfectly honest it wasn't just the cities we visited that made it that way. What made the trip was ultimately the people and the memories made. Jess had a huge part in that and was the best guide I could have asked for. She was extremely sweet; always telling us to be careful and that she loved us. She had the most adorable jokes and would often come out and make memories with us, memories that make certain songs an amazing reminder and make me smile everytime I hear them. Jess was also full of knowledge and would always update us on tips and tricks for each place we visited. There basically wasn't a answer she couldn't give. Jess was also extremely calm in any situation and dealt with everything and anything with ease. The accomodation was pretty wonderful and I can't really complain about it at all. I loved my topdeck experience and Jess our guide and Seb our driver made it fabulous, I can't imagine anyone else would have lived up to them, they were that great. I'm constantly telling my friends to go on a topdeck tour because I such an unforgettable, unbeatable experience. Thank you topdeck and thank you Jess for making it so perfect!

I spent 9 days on 'March on Rome' which was also the first 9 days of the ''Winter Spirit' tour so I left the group in Rome and they kept going through Europe. I didn't think I'd get so attached to the tour life but I did and I was so sad to say goodbye. Jess turned my life around without even knowing it. Her 'yassss' attitude and positivity created an amazing adventure not to mention her wealth of knowledge on every destintion. Jess brought us all together and made sure we knew everything there was to know about good food, shorter ticket lines and good photo opportunities. I will never forget this trip and I will never forget Jess.
