"In the spring of 2011, for the first time at the age of 20, I set foot on foreign soil and felt an incredible weight lifted. It was replaced by a feeling of ease and comfort. It was liberation! Liberation from the stresses presented in my life but also liberation from the confinements I put on myself in order to be the person I was expected to be. They say when you travel, you can be anyone you want. I saw an opportunity to be the person I truly am - the person I didn't know I was yet. As I landed in Southeast Asia for the very first time (but certainly not the last), I remember feeling like the world was mine for the taking... and it was! Every path of possibility was laid out in front of me. All I had to do was choose one and walk it. I realized quickly that travelling isn't simply about where you go and what you see. It's about the memories and friends (more appropriately, family) you make along the way. The perspective offered to me by the locals, their culture and open-minded people from all over the world has significantly changed my life. The only thing I find more fulfilling than helping others realize their dreams of seeing the world and meeting other like-minded people, is the act of doing just that myself."
