I loved the mix of relaxing and active exploring, and the itinerary had the perfect combination of towns/villages to bigger, more vibrant cities. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic, fun (but not trashy spring break party style) holiday in Croatia.

Anyone looking for Croatian sailing experience that isn’t just a booze cruise really need to get onto this. Wes was such an awesome Tour Manager, letting us know everything that was happening every day. Wes gave over awesome information on the days stops as well as Croatia and it’s history. The itinerary was great with plenty stops along the way. Wes would always show us around the stops to let you s know the best places to go and the key points to see. Every night we had a chance to join together for a dinner or a quiet drink or go it alone for some quiet time. Such a fantastic boat, the room was amazing, very spacious with quality fittings and a large en suite. Common areas were very comfortable with plenty of areas in the sun or shade. The pool and spa were great.
Meals were amazing.
The crew were so willing to please with the aim to make the boat experience the best ever.
Best cruise I have ever done, totally recommend a Horizon Sail cruise for anyone looking to experience the real Croatia

Loved the tours and anchoring at sea each morning and moving onto different locations each afternoon. The wine & cheese tour included was brilliant and had a great evening, the national park trip was well organised and tickets pre bought so we didn’t have to que and included in the price, the location was stunning.
The yacht was luxurious, stunning deck, bedrooms, jacuzzi, bar and eating area.
The crew were really friendly, the bar man really happy to help and even enjoyed the captains welcome speech and captains dinners speech.
I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the trip.

The Captain Ivan and his crew were totally amazing and looked after us like pros!
The cabins were truly luxurious and the food was off the charts - probably some of the best food Ive ever had! The staff were fantastic and a big thanks to Mr. Tony!
The route that we took was great and we got to visit some really amazing islands and experience so much local culture.
Wes was an amazing trip Manager with so much local knowledge of everywhere we went, making sure we had everything we needed and also supplied a few cheeky laughs.
Horizon Sail, Wes and Olly, have totally nailed it and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a 'non booze cruise' and something that is at another level from every aspect. Thanks Horizon Sail

Horizon Sail was brilliant! I went as a solo traveller and would definitely recommend. The week was a perfect blend of relaxing and exploring. Wes the tour guide was passionate about what he’s doing, …Horizon Sail was brilliant! I went as a solo traveller and would definitely recommend. The week was a perfect blend of relaxing and exploring. Wes the tour guide was passionate about what he’s doing, really helpful and knowledgeable on Croatian history as well as giving good recommendations for free time. The inclusions with Horizon were well thought out even as simple as arranging the water taxi into Hvar for us so we can explore before the boat is allowed to dock for the night and entry in Mljet National Park tickets pre-purchased so no time wasted waiting around. The itinerary meant we got plenty of time in some beautiful swims spots and we seen some really cute towns. The food on board was delicious and the boat kept nice and clean, Sretan is an older boat and sure the cabins are small but you really only sleep in them. I would do it all again without hesitation. Thanks for an amazing week Team Horizon!

Wes was such an amazing tour guide, he has so much knowledge about Croatia and the surrounding countries, it's a pleasure to be in his company. We all really enjoyed the relaxed and informal nature of this trip, everything seemed effortless. All of the stop offs were great, we particularly liked some of the smaller towns and ports that you wouldn't get the opportunity to see on a larger ship. We brought my partners mum with us on this tour and she had the BEST time. It really is the best holiday for any age! Thanks again to the Horizon team, it was a memorable week!

I feel this was the perfect way to see Croatia, with the perfect combination of history, culture, fun and relaxation. I especially enjoyed all of the inclusions (which was one less thing to worry about!) and the food that our chef cooked for us on the boat. Wes, our guide, was so helpful, knowledgeable and approachable which made the experience all that more enjoyable. My favourite parts of the trip were the wine tasting at hora farm and cycling around Mijet National Park. I have never felt so relaxed in my life and I have made friends for life on this trip. Thank you!

When I was researching Croatia tours, I was looking for a tour that would take me to …I had the most amazing time, I met some fantastic people and the places that we went to were absolutely beautiful! When I was researching Croatia tours, I was looking for a tour that would take me to some of the slightly smaller islands as well as the big ones! I also was not looking for just a booze cruise, I wanted to be immersed in the Croatian lifestyle and culture and learn about its history. This trip did exactly that and then some! The extra activities included in the trip (compared to other tours) and the depth of knowledge and passion of Wes and the others at horizon; which we were lucky enough to have join us made the trip easy, enjoyable and educational. This trip is exactly what I wanted out of a Croatia tour and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

WOW!!! What a trip. My wife and I booked this last minute at a great price. The whole experience was better than we'd expected. The comm's before the trip were exceptional and you could feel the onboa…WOW!!! What a trip. My wife and I booked this last minute at a great price. The whole experience was better than we'd expected. The comm's before the trip were exceptional and you could feel the onboard team really wanted to do everything they could to make your holiday dreams come true. They obviously know and love Croatia and took us to some beautiful swim spots and harbours for the evening. Each day started with a suggested itinerary, but this could be changed if people asked, not something you normally get on a tour! Wes always had in depth knowledge of where we were going and possible eateries for the evening, all of which we loved. Join in a group meal or go your own way, no problem. The boat isn't luxurious but more than adequate. I think we were super lucky because of the group of passengers onboard, all very interesting and well travelled from 29-75 years. To bond so quickly and genuinely with a multi-national group made the holiday for us - a truly memorable experience - we feel blessed. Thankyou Wes and all the Horizon Sail team, you are special and we wish you all the best and will be looking at the 5 year reunion trip!

Wes was the perfect tour guide, full of enthusiasm and fun whilst also being respectful and kind towards tourists and locals alike. It was clear he was popular with locals & colleagues and he was in demand by all members of the groups including those from other boats! He was extremely knowledgeable in terms of Croatia and it’s history which made our trip not only fun but also a learning experience! He provided us with great and trustworthy recommendations and advice in regards to places to eat/drink at and things to do. Wes made sure only the best time was had by all! Not only was he professional and funny through out everyday, He made each and everyone one of us his priority. 30 people and he knew everyone’s names on the second day! Mind you 26 of us where mostly girls with blonde hair. I couldn’t even make out who was who!

I like the fact that the facts and stories about the countries visited are never boring and that the accommodation is excellent, despite being in a hostel most of the time. It's amazing how Wes identified the couples, the party girls and so on, in the group and managed to put us in the most suitable rooms. We were a couple and feared the big party mixed dorm, but instead we were grouped with two other nice couples and we had an amazing quiet time. I can't recommend Wes and Busabout enough! Thank you. (I was on the tour with Wes for 1 month and he only got better) there were many times when accomodation wasnt great, I got lost in Paris, passangers were crabby (including me at times) and we got stuck in 8hrs work of italian traffic, yet he went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and happy as well as everyone else.
Not only was he an amazing tour guide, but he was an amazing person to be around and i can confidently say a true friend.

The only thing about this tour was that it is a little fast paced so it does feel like you are on the move a lot trying to cramp everything in perhaps 10-12 from split to Athens would leave more time to explore. But overall it was a great experience and Wesley aswell as Gabi the Busdrivwr did an outstanding job. would book again if I had them both guaranteed on the same trip :-)

This was an amazing trip to go on, and I would recommend the trip to anyone who has ever had the slightest idea of going to the Balkans. My only complaint is that the trip does move along quite quick…This was an amazing trip to go on, and I would recommend the trip to anyone who has ever had the slightest idea of going to the Balkans. My only complaint is that the trip does move along quite quickly so there are few places that you get to see really in depth, but it gives a great overview of the region. The coach bus is new, clean, and air conditioned, and our bus driver Gabor was so friendly and helpful.
Wes was a fantastic guide! He is funny, friendly, and knowledgeable about the region. He was always recommending places to go and the best ways to utilize our limited time in each city. He kept the long coach rides fun, was always available to answer questions, and was a great guy to just hang out with. I would definitely take another tour with Wes, he really turned a good trip into a great experience!

If you're thinking of exploring the Balkans, but wouldn't know where to start, this tour was ideal. Wes our guide informed us about each place before we arrived and gave us so much more of an historic…If you're thinking of exploring the Balkans, but wouldn't know where to start, this tour was ideal. Wes our guide informed us about each place before we arrived and gave us so much more of an historical insight than I'd expect, whilst making the trip really fun. You do spend a significant amount of time on the coach, but our driver Gabor made the trip so smooth and you see so much of the unspoilt countries that you wouldn't otherwise. Some of the highlights for me were the ancient Greek site of Delphi, Lake Ohrid and Sarajevo. I wasn't sure what to expect from a group trip but we all found things in common and the nature of the trip meant that whilst we enjoyed the local drinks and clubbing in Macenonia, most of us were also fairly interested in the culture and history and held back tears together as we took in the moving Gallery 11/07/95 museum in Sarajevo to commemorate the war crimes of the 90s, before stepping outside to soak up the peaceful vibes of the city today. Although there are group dinners most evening you have time to explore on your own too. - As an aside, most of the accommodation is in hotels rather than hostels which was a pleasant surprise and countries were more affordable than much of Western Europe (though slightly more in tourist places) and I caught a full ballet in Belgrade for the equivalent of 10 euros.

Croatia and Montenegro are stunning, Alabania is interesting, and Greece is fascinating. On top of this the nightlife in all is fun and cheap. The long bus trips are made easier by some world class coastline.
The unexpected highlight of the tour however was our guide Wes, what an absolute champion! Wes is definitely one of the best in the business, from day one on the bus he was hilarious and made the trips fly. He’s is crazy knowledgeable about each area, particularly the complicated history of the balkans. You can tell he is passionate about the area in (he’s not shy to tell you) and it’s pretty contagious. It became clear very quickly how lucky we were to have Wes as a guide.
I would confidently recommend the balkan highlights tour, as well as any tour that Wes is the guide.

A couple of the places we ate at had great/terrible food and bad service, but Wes made sure to make note so he could take it back to his superiors. I wish the bus had wifi we could use and was an actual Busabout bus, but other than that, it was a pretty comfy journey. The places we stopped at were incredible, Wes was brilliant and I'm so glad I did that amazing tour!!!

It's hectic! Rooming people based on survey questions would be great, too. I liked the tour guide. Wes Baimbridge, a lot. I understand that he picked up the tour last minute and didn't know much about the region off the top of his head. His research was a good attempt but I think he should address certain matters with more sensitivity, i.e. it's distasteful to continuously make a joke about Albania being a poor and underdeveloped country with brusque and aloof citizens. It would have been better to discuss why Albania had a more difficult time transitioning to a market economy than, say, Croatia. Nothing too dense or academic. I think it's important that people don't leave the tour dumber than they started. It's arguably better that no one knows anything about a country than to think it's just comically poor. Other than that, I saw that Wes took his job very seriously and was very meticulous about reservations, communication, making sure we were comfortable, etc. Thanks! Will do this again.

I like the trip. The guide give complete liberty to follow the group to the party or not. So if you dont want to go to party every night you can do another plans by your own. So if you dont want to go to party every night you can do another plans by your own. The food on the boat was good but the alcohol was expensive. I highly recommend the cabin upgrade, the cabins below the deck are very warm and very very tiny. Even if it says that the trip is for "all ages"...I think the majority of the people who do this kind of trips is between 20-30 years....so you have to be prepared for that!

Room were excellent and our guide Wes was very helpful. If I had one complaint on board drinks could be a bit cheaper. Croatia was beautiful, clean and everyone everwhere spoke English. I go agian in a heartbeat.
