We were particularly impressed with his calm approach to solving problems a few travellers had over the course of the trip.
Most of all me made sure we all had a great time 10/10

His information is balanced, entertaining and informative and he seriously made a group of strangers into close friends within a week. Raul was also amazing, super responsible and knowledgeable, he was not only fun but he helped me translate countless Spanish and Portuguese phrases instantly. This trip was the highlight of my holiday!

I had a great time during the Iberian Adventure tour and cannot imagine how it could have worked out any better.

--> Michael our Guide was excellent and had the perfect level of fun, authority, know-how, social empathy, self-organisation and responsibilty of course. He had an open ear for all kind of personal questions or problems. But more important was that he was familiar with all of our destinations and did know when to be where during the Lagos pub crawl. Additionaly he gave us valualbe insider tips how to deal with the locals (e.g. in flamenco show, at a hammam bath, with Marroc people during the excursion) and how to orientate in the single cities.
I really liked that he was always in good mood and also joined for a beer in the evening.
--> Our travel group consisting of different nationalities was great.
--> Beforehand I was sceptical how stressful such a bustour would be. But it was definitely not the case. Especially the two days of staying in Lagos and Tarifa as well as our busdriver Raul made it pretty relaxed vacation. I have never ever experienced such a relaxed, responsible and still funny busdriver than Raul who was always in-time when picking us up. Generally it must be emphasized how great Michael and Raul interacted together. If they didn't told us I would have guessed that they are friends from school.

It was obvious in every respect that his main intention was to make sure we got the most out of our trip. With his extensive knowledge of each of the islands and cities we went to, he was always able to give a recommendation (or flag down a local islander to help!). He truly went above and beyond what was expected of him. My friend and I were travelling to Paris and Barcelona on our own after our Greece tour, and he even made us an itinerary with loads of recommendations for cool restaurants, bars, and must-see landmarks- all on his own time! It is truly obvious how dedicated he is to his job and I was so lucky to be on one of his tours!

After our original tour guide fell unwell and not having a guide for a day or so in Paros he lifted spirits and got everyone excited and ready for the next few days. I can’t thank him enough for making the trip what it was. Without an awesome guide the group doesn’t gell as well and I can safely say waking away from this tour that I am leaving a bunch of 38 others that I can call my best friends. I will miss Mike, his generosity, support and love for what he does rubs off on everyone he meets. Can probably say there is no other tour guide out there like him. Thanks Mike, your a bloody legend and I’ll miss ya.

I tend to prefer to do my own thing. Having said that, I can honestly say that having Michael as our tour guide, he has changed my opinion on guided tours. He was outstanding! Knowledgeable, personable, reliable, are just a few immediate adjectives that come to mind when describing his awesomeness. I do not think I would have nearly had as much fun had I not been guided by Michael on this trip. He was the secret sauce needed to make this one of my favorite and memorable trip! I’m very thankful and grateful for all he did.

Of course a great tour can’t happen without the help of a tour guide and I don’t know if I would have the words to do Mike justice. His banter and knowledge of the islands really set him apart from anyone else. We followed all of his recommendations and were never disappointed. The quality of our trip was always his number one priority and he always ensured we were well taken care of on any activity. Within hours of meeting Mike you forget he’s your tour guide and he becomes the friend you have always wanted to travel with, a friend that you don’t want to leave behind. I could go on forever about the tour and our guide. 100% satisfaction from these two Aussies!!!

He was not just our guide, he was our fun time, our jokestar, our brother, our dad, our second hand man, disco buddy, drinking buddy . You name it mike had a answer or resolution for it.
When the spirits were down he brought them back up - from the boat rides feeling like stinky hot asylum seekers to long ass bus rides on bendy roads, mike was there to entertain us all with a dry joke or 10.
Can’t thank you enough for making Greece 10 times better. Hopefully you get some new disco shorts and don’t break them!

There was a lack of information from the busabout corporation in some areas however, such as: Which transfers were and weren’t included, if you weren’t staying at the recommended accomodation (it’s not our fault if it’s fully booked out so we have to stay elsewhere), also there was confusion over the ferry timings for some travellers due to differences in the onsite itinerary and the print out. I think the experience would be made almost perfect if there was clearer outline of all inclusions/exclusions and costs at the travellers expense under different circumstances.
All that aside, our guide was the best! Michael made the experience smooth and entertaining. His experience clearly showed, through the little recommendations he made and know-how quirks to navigating the islands as easily as possible which made it a breeze. He went above and beyond his role for everybody on the tour in one way or another and was the core which made the trip so much fun. So thanks!

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Mike or this tour. Mike was extremely experienced and radiated confidence, fun and positivity. Mike was professional, kind and playful and although distracted, maintained and sustained a level of consistency with his natural nurturing abilities. He gave every member of the group the confidence to conduct the tour to whatever pleased them, and always put our safety first. He acted as a great facilitator to ensure we all had the time of our lives. It was an unbelievable tour and was much more enjoyable with a larger size tour group. Mike had unbelievable continuous knowledge about wherever we were, and continuously gave us advantages by being on the tour. He would recommend local places to eat, drink and shop, and confidently gave us alternative choices and guided whatever decision we wanted to make. Mike made me feel very safe as he was always counting, and knew almost immediately if someone was missing. His experience really showed. It also didn't feel like he was more powerful or above us, he just fit in and conducted us. It was really special to be apart of this Busabout group because he genuinely cared about the group and I have no doubt whatsoever that he tries his best to make the trip the best for everyone individually - and that must be so hard with such a big group.

I haven’t met a tour guide yet with such inspiration, motivation and genuine love for their role. The level of professionalism maintained through the whole trip was outstanding! Michael has a phenomenal ability to gel a group and fantastic people skills that created atmosphere every step of the way. With a wealth of knowledge of both modern and Ancient Greek history and culture, his insight complimented the trip. The choices of restaurants, bars and accommodation was exceptional, as was the choice of islands visited. By the end of the trip, the entire group felt like a family and we were all very sad to say our goodbyes. I am going to highly recommend travelling with Michael.

He's a keen student of history and culture and has done a lot of reading so has lots of fascinating titbits to impart on his tour group. He made sure everyone in the group was involved to the level they were comfortable with and he's a good laugh. Michael is always hungry and likes talking about food non-stop so I would say this is his specialty and therefore he is an excellent guide on where to eat wherever you go. I especially liked the beach picnic that Michael organised as part of our tour and the deep fried bananas for desert! Great trip - thanks Michael.

I would go with the recommended for mykonos and santorini, but stay at casa di roma in paros and francescos in ios (in ios it is in town so saves you a 40min walk home after partying, and if you head to the beach during the day its a 5min bus ride for 1.80euro). Nimah and michael were great tour guides in their own respects, super different, but the combination was great.

Everything was well organised but still allowed us the flexibility to do our own thing or to change plans as the group wanted. He always made sure we were safe & introduced us to the people he knew who could also look out for us.
He without a doubt made the experience 100x better & we wouldn't have seen everything or had as much fun without his input.

Though it was a flexi hopper you still needed to book your ferrys 2 weeks in advance.
Most of the reccommended accommodation wasn't the best and overpriced for what it was... though convenient for pick up drop off.. i would reccommend doing your own research for close better options.
Two nights at each place was a bit rushed too... i would reccommend to stay at least 3 but then you wouldnt get to stay with the same group/tour guide.
All in all i had the experience of a lifetime with some amazing people and i cant wait to visit again. Yamas!

Jacqui was the best! Happy and helpful, but also really good to have a few drinks and party with, she also drops some mean Blink182 karaoke. Micheal was great fun, we only had him for a few days in Ios but he helped us fit in with the new group and runs a pretty awesome pub crawl.

Michael was always a prepared man who thrived on everyone having a good time and trying out new things, he was helpful in many ways and always brought the best in people. By having a great tour guide it no doutbly makes the whole adventure a great one which I will cherish forever!

We loved how our tour guide got involved in what we did and how he really looked after us! Such a great experience and i wish i could do it all over again!

Paros was my favorite island and the Antiparos Cruise is by far the highlight of the trip. I had a great group, a super energetic guide, and I've never gotten more likes on my posts/photos than the ones taken in the Greek Islands!
My guide was Michael aka the Crazy Canadian. This man has more energy than he knows what to do with and there wasn't a single day or moment where he wasn't on his A-game.
He really knows how to get everyone involved and makes sure that every second of the itinerary is packed with laughs or knowledge.

The tour had the right mix of relaxation and party time which was made even better by the fabulous bunch of people on the boat. Michael was our tour guide. He made an effort to get to know everyone and ensure we were all having a great time. His knowledge bombs and story time were entertaining and always well researched. We had some great group debates and learned heaps about Turkish culture. The crew Sonny, Murat and Mohammed made sure we got to all the best places and had the best food, drink and Turkish hospitality. I want to go back!

Having Michael there with us made it super easy as it was all organised and he knew all the best spots to go/things to do/see/eat. Michael knows all the fun bars on the islands so it's well worth hitting the town with the group at night! Michael goes out of his way to make sure everyone's having a great time! Never have I met anyone that at any time of morning, day, or night would make 40 hungover and exhausted Australian…Michael was the kind of tour guide that after 1 day you would want as your best mate. Never have I met anyone that at any time of morning, day, or night would make 40 hungover and exhausted Australians hysterically laugh, and have that radiating positivity that would make us all anticipate the next day as if it was our first. I firsthand experienced Michaels kind-heartedness during the tour, when getting my drink spiked in IOS he did not leave my side until the hospital he found and organised stabilised and secured me. I will never forget his help that night and his infectious energy that made my Greece travels the unforgettable experience it was. Love you Mike!

Busabout was an amazing way to experience the islands, whilst making new friends and being toured by an amazingly knowledgeable and fun guide! (Michael was incredible, such a top guy! knew everything about everything and also knew how to show us a good time). I'll definitely be going back to the islands soon!!

Busabout is a great thing to do especially when you have a tour guide like Michael who really made it the best it could be with his bubbly and bright personality! Personally I do think the busabout is a bit prices for what you pay as it dosnt include meals accomodation and really the only thing you get out of it are discounted drinks and ferry tickets. If it wasn't for our tour guide Michael and the great group of people we had I would be saying otherwise!

As this was my first time venturing to Europe, having a knowledgable tour guide was instrumental to ensure I was making the most of my holiday and not stressing about transfers, not finding my accommodation and getting lost!
The recommended accommodation with Busabout was brilliant. Each location was central, clean and employed friendly staff to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible.
Strong communication, sense of humour and insightful 'knowledge bombs'; Michael ticked every box.

The boat itself was really nice, very spacious and very clean.
The staff were very attentive and accomodating.
Michael was awesome. He was really knowledgeable and passionate about Turkey and he took his role in both entertaining and educating us very seriously (with a bundle of jokes thrown in). He espouses passion for his job and the culture in every conversation, interaction and activity he undertakes.
It was very easy to feel at home and comfortable with everyone on the boat. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the sun from the beautiful waters of Turkey and make amazing friends along the way.

Michael was the type of guide to not only point you in the right direction of a great pub, bar or club, but come with you and make sure you had an awesome night! Although he was the type of guide to take you to hospital when you were sick also (as I experienced first hand). Every person on our tour unanimously said that they were happy we were blessed with "the best guide" :D
