About me:I like to travel, but I like to do it a bit different to the norm, to get off the beaten track, and find the dirty underbelly of the cities, the places where the tourists don't go and the locals hang out. I love live music, and don't drink so I really like to find those spots where I can have a good night. That said, I still enjoy my time having a boogy with my pax at bar.

The biggest positive for me was that Busabout chooses accomodation (fixed travellers) that is in the best location. Staying at Paradise beach club and Far Out beach club was amazing. Same goes for accomdation in Santorini, considering how expensive Santorini is, I thought we would be staying very far away from the main part of Santorini.
Organision was great!
Ryan and Ben were awesome! Busabout should be so appreciative of such amazing staff. They were always making sure everyone was having a good time and they were constantly interacting with every single person on the tour.

The trip offered a nice blend between experiencing the culture and beauty of the islands, as well as partying at night. If seeing the Ancient Greek culture is important to your trip I highly recommend doing the alternative options such as going to akatiri and Delos, if not you will miss out on much of the Greek culture. If lounging on the beach is more your thing there are many beautiful beaches on these islands. The tour guides were very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. There was never a dull moment when they were around. The individual experience for this trip is up to you, if you want to party in night and relax on the beautiful beaches in the day this is trip for you. if you would like to see more of the Greek/ancient Greek culture, the trip might feel slightly limited at times- but for me it still provided a good mix of both!

At the beginning of the trip he really made an effort to get to know each of his passengers which was pretty cool. The tour itself was pretty well organised and it was nice knowing I didn't have to worry about where I was going or what I was doing, I just had to follow the group. I would highly recommend this trip if you want to see the Greek Islands and have limited time to do it. Thanks for the best week Ben!

In a country like Greece, where not everything runs on time and it can be a little hectic, having a well planned trip with trained guides makes the journey so much more enjoyable and taking the stress out of your hands. As a Flexi, I was able to take full advantage of the many cultural experiences Busabout had to offer, such as culinary delights, traditional plate smashing and boat trips to secluded beaches and idyllic swim spots. However, I was also able to have some down time if required, but why would I?!
With guides like Ben and Emma, fostering friendships couldn't have been any easier. They were a complementary and dynamic duo, mingling with our entire cohort, bringing everybody together and making the effort to get to know every person on our tour. It definitely made you feel like you were part of a family. Their charismatic and energetic personalities were crucial to keeping us feeling positive after a big night out.
As a Flexi I booked private rooms, so while it varies from the Fixed offer, everything was fantastic and service at all of our accommodation was excellent. The Greeks are so hospitable!
Highly recommend a Busabout tour for anybody who would like a fantastic, stress-free Greek island experience

The accomodation could of been a bit better on Mykonos and Ios. We did upgrade in Ios because of this.
That was really the only thing that I felt was disappointing.

I recently completed a Busabout tour of the Greek Islands which covered Athens, Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Ios. I had never been to Greece before prior to this. I opted to go ‘Flexi’ which means that I was able to choose to stay longer at certain islands – which was fantastic as I wanted to spend more time relaxing in Paros and then partying myself to breaking point on Ios (I strongly recommend spending four night on Ios).
Flex also allowed by to book my own accommodation, which I did in Paros (Siroco's Rooms And Studios) and Ios (Francesco's - which is in Ios town).
As a outcome of having a flexible itinerary, my tour group and guides changed twice during my tour. In total I was part of two groups, and with four different tour guides (two in each).
Nadia and Megan were my starting guides, taking me from Athens to Mykonos to Paros - They were outstanding in their organisation. A week or so before I had even arrived in the country I knew what the plan was. During the tour they were knowledgeable of the local history, customs and went out of their way to answer any of our questions, as well as get the tour group out to be social.
After this, I hopped to Santorini and joined Ben and Ryan’s group. These guys, if they weren’t a comedy duo - they should be. Upon joining the new group they went out of their way to introduce me to all my new travel companions. Like Nadia and Megan, everyone was well informed of the itinerary - and Ben and Ryan provided ample opportunities to party at night, especially on Ios.
Overall, my Busabout experience was fantastic thanks to the work of Naida, Megan, Ryan and Ben. I would highly recommend to anybody wants to explore Athens and the Greek Islands. Everyone else in the tour group had a blast, and I was just one of those.

A lot was poorly organised, information was never given and i never felt like i really knew what was going on. I also did not feel like i got value for money on this trip. Considering the amount i paid, hostels were awful and nothing was included other than one gyros and a handful of bus rides. Ferries are considerably cheap as well. If i was going to go to greek islands again i would not do it with bus about.

The guides are incredible and one in particular is Lucie busabout! Lucie was one of mine and many others favourite! Lucie knew exactly what she was talking about when saying her knowledge about what place you were arriving too and making the information not an overload or boring but really interesting and easy to follow.
Also you can count on never second guessing Lucie with anything including where the nearest ATM was, the coolest bars, restaurants or the coolest places to go see and explore. Lucie also is real enough to tell ya if something is worth spending those tight pennies on that you have saved so much on and what's really worth spending your money on.
So if you planing to travel around Europe I suggest doing it with busabout and hopefully you get the chance of meeting the amazing Lucie! :)

Ben was a considerate, caring guide and did his best for catering to everyone's needs. He was one of the best guides of which there are only three I appreciated over the whole 3 months of my travel with busabout with the various guides.

The flexibility with this service is beyond comparison. Busabout covers all the most popular pets of Europe and you have the ability to stay as long or as little as you like in each place. If you love a place, stay longer, if you don't love a place, jump on the bus and move on. It's perfect. You get the bonus of a knowledgable guide who tells you all about the history of each place your through, tells you the good places to eat, where to drink, what you should be paying, sights to see and how to make the most out of each destination. Busabout also offer discounts on tours and excursions as well as helps with organising accommodation. The guides on the buses all help you out as much as possible and are all super friendly and approachable. It's so easy to make friends on the buses and you travel with all likeminded people to share your experience with.
Busabout also offer tours outside the four loops. For example; festivals such as San Fermin (running of the Bulls) La Tomatina, Sail Croatia, Greek Islands, Italian Adventure, Music Festivals and heaps more. I was lucky enough to partake in Sail Croatia with Busabout as well as the Greek Island Tour Flexi Hopper.
I've just finished the Greek Island tour and I cannot rate it highly enough. You had the flexibility to stay as long as you liked at each island, 2 nights on 4 islands with the option of staying longer if you wanted. Busabout offered excursions at each islands whether it be visiting some famous beaches or my favourite, taking a boat out for the day and swimming in the beautiful crystal clear water and visiting a private island with a traditional Greek barbecue. You had the option of staying at the recommended accomodation or he freedom to choose your own with the tour guide helping or with transfers etc. You also had the option to partake in the group activities such as bar crawls, dinners and other little things or you could choose to do your own thing. Ben was our tour guide on the Greek Islands and he was absolutely fantastic. He always wanted what was best for his tour group, staying out until the wee hours of the morning with all us drunks making sure we get home safely, showing us all the best places to eat and drink, taking us to all the most beautiful places on the islands. He was friendly to everyone and easy to get along with. He did his damndest to make sure everyone in our group was happy and having fun.
The Greek Island Tour is up there with my Sail Croatia tour. Busabout really know how to travel and see the best let's of Europe in a friendly, flexible and fun environment. As I said, I can't recommend them highly enough. For a solo traveller, group of friends or couples, if you're not travelling busabout you're doing it wrong.

I was blown away with the dedication, enthusiasm and knowledge our busabout guides had and Ben was definitely one of my favorite guides! He made me and my brother's busabout experience one we will never forget! We had 3 consecutive days with Ben and each day we always looked forward to our bus days. With fun games, on board entertainment (such as music and movies) and different activities to book at each new city we arrived at.. I would not think twice about doing busabout again as it was a very big highlight on my holiday and a fantastic way to meet many new people and see Europe.
