My sail Croatia trip experience with Busabout went above and beyond every expectation I had. I went knowing that on a gulet sail boat that the rooms would be small and the bathrooms simple. But you will be surprised how quickly you get use to the sail boat life, you come to realize that your room size doesn't matter as you are close to never in it anyway. Despite the hesitation of the make-shit shower situation, the sweaty and saltiness state your body gets into and the heat of the summer days I actually couldn't imagine showering in any other way.
There were 18 of us on the sail, plus the crew, and our tour guide Lydia. The crew were laid-back and friendly and willing interact with us. Lydia was absolutely incredible! She was knowledgeable about every town we stopped at and shared the info and tour tips and agenda with us with a charismatic flare. Her passion for travel and Croatia itself is infectious! She really become 'one of the boys' and was fully engaged with everything we did. From seeing the sites, to eating meals, to tanning, to banter, to 'jolling' (partying). We had the most unbelievable vibey dynamic amongst us all. A trip and people I will remember for the rest of my life! I would do it all over again!

Was a really good way to meet people.I liked how all i had to do was make it to the bus stop other than that everything else was done for you untill you arrived at the destination. The tour guides on the bus made the trip more interesting helping us plan things to do in the place we were going to and also mention abit of history or fun facts along the way. For a smooth easy holiday I recommend busabout.

We travelled through Europe for two months and a definite highlight of the trip was our Busabout tour of the Greek Islands with our amazing guide, Lydia. We went to Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, and Ios. We had our own accommodation for most of it, except for Ios where we stayed at the recommended accommodation which was excellent. All the activities and tours made available were so much fun and not too expensive either! It was great meeting new people on our travels too. Lydia was such an amazing guide! She had so much fun with us and had everything organised for us at all times. She knew so much about the islands and about the customs in Greece, and was super lovely which is always a bonus. I'd definitely recommend this tour (and beautiful Lydia as a guide!).

The thing I enjoyed most about the bus about tour was the optional extras, they allowed those who were keen to participate in pre arranged activities and if you wanted to do your own thing then you could do that also!

There was a ferry strike which put the schedule off right from the get go, but Lydia, our tour guide, quickly managed to organize an impromptu walking tour around Athens. She was extremely fun and very good at socializing. Our tour group had various conversation groups, as happens, and she perfectly fit into all of them.
On the way to various islands, she helped arrange for transfers to our hotels as we had forgotten to do that. The schedules were well laid out, and all the activities we joined were well worth it. The tour itself is quite good, but our excellent fellow tour groupies, and our amazing guide Lydia made it an absolute smash! We got all of the fun, relaxation, and sites we could have asked for, while hanging out with a very cool group of people!

I think busabout it's self is a pointless tour company in the sense that I could have got accommodation and ferry tickets myself and I would have saved over $700 I didn't need the glimpse of history I got or the so called cheap dinners and drink. In saying that there are people who would probably love it. One girl in my group was so inspired by Lydia she wanted to become a tour guide so I think it speaks for itself

She will give you the hot local tips. For instance:-"When you hail a taxi on Paros-you stand piller straight, shoot one arm out straight out. When taxi stops, jump in say destination. No chit chat absolutely none. No, none or you'll find yourself stumbling down a goat track."
**all in a English accent** We promptly broke all four rules haha ha. But that's travelling.
She is so lovely you forget she's actually "working" (I mean would you call holidaying work?) and try drag her around everywhere.
She keeps the whole group connected and informed of every last detail. Such a lovely change.
Wherever she ends up I'll be sure to book another tour! She's going to have travel groupies...if there's such a thing!!
You'd be silly to pass her up!
