Everything went smooth, well organised and a good driver. Note that this is not a dedicated nature tour with focus on finding birds and wildlife. Note that this is not a dedicated nature tour with focus on finding birds and wildlife. The Parks visited are very similar, with best being Wilpattu. Yala was too crowded leading to that you inhaled much diesel fumes. Madu river boat safari was a big big disappointment. It was not focused on nature apart from the purple-face leaf monkey. The other "stops" along the safari was to pay to see a crocodile, to pay to see cinnamom preparation, to pay to have your feet chewed on by fish, to pay to have a coffe break. The Mangrove focus was a short 5 m "trip into the Mangrove". Basically it was a boat tour on a lake
We had a great time in Sri Lanka and could experience the country with a local and like local people see it. The train rides where fun but could have been more for the tour planned.

The tour could be improved by reviewing the transit times by car. We felt like we spend too much time on the road. The agenda was often too packed to have time for relaxation.
The Stamford hotel was unacceptable and no guests should stay there. I left a review with photos on Google to look up.

Our adventure began on a beautiful day, but shortly after the tour started, heavy rain set in. Despite the downpour, we enjoyed every moment, thanks to our fantastic guide, Chandana. The rain persisted for the first three days, leaving us thoroughly soaked, but the stunning scenery and unique charm of each place we visited made it all worthwhile. Chandana’s kindness and expertise greatly enhanced our experience, helping us find joy even in the rainiest moments. Once the weather cleared, our experience became even more delightful, making it a trip to remember. We attribute much of this memorable experience to the thoughtfully arranged activities. I highly recommend Stelaran Holidays for a trip to Sri Lanka.
