From the moment we were met in Cusco by our guides and support team, we knew this was going to be something special, not just a hike, but a deeply moving, flawlessly orchestrated journey through history, nature, and culture. Every detail had been thought of. Our guides were knowledgeable, full of warmth and humor, weaving stories of Incan engineering, ancient rituals, and mountain legends into each day’s trek. They had a sense for when to pause for photos, when to rest, and when to simply stand in silence as the clouds rolled across the Andes. The staff, the team of porters, chefs, and support crew were nothing short of heroic. Somehow, while we hiked with light packs, they would race ahead to set up an immaculate campsite! Reaching Machu Picchu on the final day felt like the culmination of something much greater than a hike, it was a pilgrimage. Our guides secured the perfect timing to enter through the Sun Gate just as the first light hit the citadel. This journey exceeded every expectation of comfort, care, and connection. The professionalism and heart of every guide, porter, chef, and organizer turned a challenging trek into an unforgettable, soul-stirring experience. If you’re dreaming of the Inca Trail and want to do it in absolute style and comfort, this is the team to trust.

It is pricey compared to some other treks found in the Cusco region, but it is worth every penny. First of all, it is a one of a kind trek, following the old Inca path straight into Machu Pichu. Only a certain amount of people can do this trek everyday. Secondly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing on the trip. The porters are incredible men who carry all our things everyday without complaint, even up mountains. Our lunch sites and evening campsite were always set up and ready for our arrival each day. I honestly don’t know how the logistics runs so smoothly. I was expecting bland food everyday, but no, incredible meals given at breakfast, lunch and dinner. They literally carried a portable kitchen around with them. It was a great way to try new Peruvian foods. To be woken each morning by the porters with coca tea with a view over the Andes is something I will never forget. Willian, our guide made sure everything ran smoothly and ensured we were happy everyday. He gave incredible talks about the Incan history and you can really tell it came from his heart with the passion he explained it. Nilton also made sure we were always looked after too. One thing to note, if buying the Huanyna Pichu ticket, if the weather is bad you may need to chose between classic photo of Machu Pichu and the guided tour (included in your tour) or climbing that mountain (which is non refundable). This is not made clear on the when booking here. I was lucky to have been able to do both. I will remember this trip forever.
