About me:Hi, I’m Omar. I was born and raised in a Berber village on the Atlas Mountains and trekking the Atlas Mountains is in my blood. I have been working more than seven years as mountain guide in the high atlas mountains as well as in Moroccan desert. I really like to present my culture through our trekking. I have studied and speak good conversational English. I enjoy talking about Berber culture and the mountains. My favourite food is a good Moroccan date and I always carry a pack on the treks. We had an amazing time in the Atlas Mounts, we were blessed with good weather which made for stunning views of the mountains. Omar our guide was helpful and very informative and shared a wealth of kn…We had an amazing time in the Atlas Mounts, we were blessed with good weather which made for stunning views of the mountains. Omar our guide was helpful and very informative and shared a wealth of knowledge about the local area. We were group of 8 ladies the eldest being 75 and all the walks were manageable for all of us with assistance from Omar for one of our group to ensure she made it to the top of one of our steepest climbs. We had lovely fresh food prepared for our lunches in the mountains and also back at our accommodation in the evening. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable 3 day trip which I would highly recommend.

He took me into the hi…Humbling insightful experience seeing into the lives of those who lost the most in the earthquake Oct 2024 • Solo Amazing trip. My guide was Omar and he was friendly and kind. He took me into the high atlas mountains to help me interview the Berber people affected by the earthquake for a short film. He went above and beyond by intoruducing and translating for me as we went into the homes of people who still hadn’t received help. Thank you Omar
