For the India segment, only the Jaipur hotel actually met the advertised standard. All the other hotels were either homestay-type properties in fields or in remote suburban areas with very inconvenient transportation. The value for money was extremely low.
The itinerary was also filled with so-called “workshops,” which were essentially shopping stops that cost hours of time and were designed to make travelers spend.
Although we did tip both the India and Sri Lanka drivers generously at the end, in India the tipping felt strongly pressured and uncomfortable — especially when the suggested daily tipping was higher than an average day’s wage. If a tour is advertised as private and inclusive, there should not be so many additional side costs and expectations.
By contrast, the Sri Lanka segment was a true 5-star private experience — smooth, transparent, professional, and genuinely enjoyable.

Just a few things to consider, my partner and I were the only ones on the tour which was totally fine, however our driver in India asked us if we wanted to go to his house for lunch I politely declined as I didn’t want to bother his wife however my partner really wanted to go. So we went, as soon as we got the his daughter pulled out all these paintings she had done so of course we felt obliged to buy one and felt quite forced. That’s was fine. Also make sure you have cash as not many places take card when you’re visiting the monuments. When we were in Nepal the timings from one city to another were very inaccurate. From Pokhara to Kathmandu it took us just over 10 hours however the itinerary said 5 hours. It’s actually longer from each city in Nepal so bear this in mind if you don’t like being in a car for too long. The roads in India were great however in Nepal they are still very much under developed however there is a lot of work going on to improve the roads. Having said that the road works did not delay us in any way I really do thing Tour Radar should change the timing between cities as they are very inaccurate. Overall a great experience the Taj Mahal really is spectacular and a must see. The people in Nepal a so beautiful and so humble and beautiful. Happy we did this trip for the inexperienced traveler it is an eye opener but worth it!
