You can always find me hunting down the perfect snack, the tastiest drink or the prettiest vista. When I'm on the road I’m always eager to challenge my comfort zones and seek out experiences that get the blood pumping, Other days though, I can’t resist a historical museum or an art gallery. If I can do all that with a couple of tasty snacks and brand new friends, even better.

The Balkans really are a hidden gem of Europe that have such a rich history and array of things to do. Our tour guide Chloe had amazing local knowledge for each destination and gave great information on both things to do and eat as well as demonstrating a great understanding of the history! I couldn't have asked for a better guide :)

Brilliant way to visit countries. Chloe, our tour guide was faultless. Really helpful & generous. I would definitely look into another trip with Busabout.

Visited a few countries along the way, each with their own history and interestingly contrasting living standards for neighbouring Eu…I thoroughly enjoyed this trip with Busabout from Split to Athens. Visited a few countries along the way, each with their own history and interestingly contrasting living standards for neighbouring European countries. Pictures can not do justice for some of the views I got on this tour, especially in kotor and meteora. May be cutting out tirana and going for a coastal town in Albania might be a git with travellers. Our guide Chloe was a dream, had good control on everything without being overbearing. She is also good damn fun!

But it was a lot, a lot of travel time and very little sleep so I was struggling by the end. Brilliant experience though! Breakfasts were small and not very much choice. Would be nice to have something as a substitute for meat if veggie. Chloe was awesome, great tunes. Miguel was cool too. Great duo. Nice locations, would not have thought to go to some places like meteora for example. Perhaps could have taken a day or so longer to get down to athens to enjoy locations more and minimize travel time each day.

The communication between Ivan and Chloe was amazing. The structure and knowledge Chloe expressed I could not fault! Captains dinners I felt were pricey for what I got. Overall I’m really happy with my experience and I would do it again.

Chloe was the perfect guide and had extensive knowledge of Croatia and its history. She can recommend and answer every question you have. The boat, rooms and crew were all great and as expected. I would highly recommend the tour as long as you keep in mind that there will be additional costs involved. More importantly, The adventure is what you make of it.

Then there is Chloe, who was absolutely fantastic, made everyone feel welcomed since day one. Made me drink my liver to death and climb mountains even tho I was hungover but knew I’d love it and would only of did these things for her, someone I’d truely recommend for a trip of a life time and someone I think I’ll forever have a everlasting memory with. TOOT TOOT!

The only reason I gave this trip a 4 star on accomodation was because there were a few finishing touches that could have been fixed before we all got on the boat, but most of them, as soon as they were brought to attention were fixed.

Her knowledge of Croatian history was second to none and she was always willing to answer any question thrown her way. Migel our driver kept the coach clean and comfortable. He is reliable, always on time and patiently and calmly took us through borders. Mostly importantly, he is a very competent and safe driver. He also took care, handles and lock up our luggage nice and safe. All in all, very pleased with the itenary we followed. We covered a great deal and saw a lot
of sites on this trip without being stressed ......great tour!

The tour was full of pleasant surprises and totally exceeded our expectations. Even though we’re much older than the average BusAbout backpackers, we found that the content as well as the pace of the tour quite suitable and satisfactory. Our guides Gaby (1st half tour) and Chloe (2nd half), and drivers Tony (1st half) and Miguel (2nd half) were all fantastic! Many thanks for their flawless job in making our first Balkan tour such a success!
