Pinky, our guide, was great at allowing us to see Vietnam at its best and balancing when to do our own thing and the tour activities. The highlight for me was Hoi An and Castaways. The history that Pinky told us about in Hoi An most certainly made this park of the trip enjoyable. Likewise, we were taken to restaurants and ate cuisine that if we had not been on a tour we might not have experienced. Thank you very much, Pinky. I have loved my time in Vietnam and will definitely be back in the future!

Such fun, best few days. Definitely enjoyed the backpacker crowd whilst travelling. The restaurants were quite expensive choices - I am travelling for 4 months and chose cheapest dinner option each night as I thought it was best to stick with the group. I really like that I feel I fully saw/explored Vietnam to the full! One thing would be some of the buses were rather uncomfortable and not the best service. But I fully understand that this is necessary in some places - unsure of alternative. Thank you Pinky + Tru :)

The Cambodian tour was such a disappointment so I didn't expect much for Vietnam. However, Vietnam has been the best experience ever - there is absolutely nothing I would change about my time with the group - I would only ask to make the tour longer!
Our guide, Pinky, was the main reason I enjoyed the trip so much. Not only did she have a brilliant knowledge of the history and background of Vietnam, but she was genuinely a lovely person who had heaps of energy! Not only have I made friends for life with other group members, but I'd love to come back and visit Pinky in Vietnam again. This will be the hardest tour to leave because I've loved every minute. Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime trip, it was truly magical and something I'll never forget. <3

Pinky was the best guide and was so knowledgeable, giving information and fun facts at every opportunity. The best part was the Dark cave + zip lining! Pinky was always attentive and made sure that we were happy at all times. She was fast to recommend the best dishes when going to eat. Even when we had free time, she messaged to ensure we knew where to go. The bamboo basket boat was incredible, to see the around Hoi an, such a beautiful place that is filled with amazing lanterns. Thank you Tru Travels + especially Pinky. xx

See more of the history of where we were instead of parties but that's obviously a personal preference. I really did not enjoy the overnight bus - however rest of transport was great. Pinky was always there to help with anything and was a generally great tour guide for anything we needed. I've really enjoyed my tour.

My group was great though and knew how to have fun but also to see, feel, live. From sharing our experiences of the night buses (hit & miss) to helping each other caving to making sure everyone got back okay. My group really made the trip considering I was 1/10 Aussie to UK people. Pinky was very helpful and although there was a language barrier she still kept us informed of what, where and why... also when. Making sure we kept to a time but also changing plans to suit what we wanted to do as much as possible. I found the tour to be a good value and definitely did things I wouldn't have done if I was solo and the knowledge that I didn't have to organize hotels, hostels, buses or tours was great & easy. Would I recommend Trutravels... Yes. Just ask for Pinky and do a little research as her english is good - I imagine much better than your vietnamese - but if you have a lot of questions it would be easier if you did a search to get an idea and then ask as its very hard to people from around the world and know what everyone means.
P.S. : don't verse Pinky in limbo!

My highlights would have to be the sand dunes, hai van pass, banana boats, zip line and castaways. Pinky Pinky was an amazing tour guide. She was very informative and joined in with the group activities and nights out. The only thing I would change is some of the accommodation, I think nicer hotels/or hostels that are social would be better.

She seemed to organise our trip so easily but with 12 people I'm sure it was not easy. She took opportunities to book buses/transport/extra accommodation when the group was busy doing other things so she made it so seamless for us. She did all the hard work. Pinky ate with us every evening so we all felt like a family. She was relaxed and had a great sense of humor. She loved to give everyone funny nicknames. When people in our group decided to go and do other things instead of planned activities on the itinerary - Pinky even helped them to book transport! She was very understanding and never got annoyed with us even though we are very annoying! Days like the sand dunes tour day, the jeep tour day and the day with cycling/boats were my favourite and I would recommend more adventure activities like those! More exploring! I have to say my favourite thing about the tour was the fact that Trutravels cares about animal welfare and we never went to ride on any animals as that would have been very uncomfortable for me. Thanks for a great trip <3

The itinerary was fab, the group was fab.
Pinky did take us to some nice places that you wouldn’t necessarily have found had you been travelling on your own.

But sadly I can’t give her more than 2 stars. I feel there was a severe lack of communication, and almost zero motivation to get us having fun in the evenings, she would take us to a restaurant (a pretty expensive one too for example the American diner in Hue, I have no idea what indication we gave to want westernised food this was literally on day 3 I do not miss that food yet...) but then if she left after food, would not really recommend any bars except for the karaoke which was one of my fave nights but again we only went there because we had all suggested karaoke.
The trip was 100% made worth while by the Castaways experience, and sadly that was nothing to do with trutravels. The staff at castaways are second to none I would recommend them any day, and I’m just glad that it was booked through the tour so for that thank you TruTravels.
It makes me really sad to leave such a poor review as my previous tour with you guys was amazing. We had 3 tour guides and 27 guests and everyone’s needs were catered for, this tour had 11 and I somewhat felt like we had to push pinky for answers a lot and I felt very much the last to know everything, maybe that just speaks about myself but with so little guests I would have hoped that we . She knew a lot about Vietnam which was good for the informative parts but otherwise no recommendations for the free evenings at all and information regarding the hotels was lost, for example I had no idea what time we were supposed to be checking out on the last day and when asking wasn’t really given a set answer still.
This is nothing on Pinky’s own personality she is a lovely girl and she has not had any cross words with anyone, I just feel somewhat let down by the lack of leadership.
I will probably book with trutravels again because I have so much love for you as a company, except I will make sure that I get a western tour guide so to limit the language barrier and communication issues.

The tour is jam packed and there is something for everyone; from a cooking class, kayaking, caving, lantern making, cliff jumping, orientation tours, museums and a taste of the Vietnamese nightlife and markets... etc etc. I have had the best experience and would 100% do another Trutravels tour! So I had just gone to write a review, only to find that TruTravels had written on my behalf, except minus anything negative. On the final day of our tour we were given a form to complete in regards to our positive/negative experiences on the trip. I am very angry to see my "positive" section has been posted as a review here without any of the "areas for improvement". The same goes for all other members that were present on my tour and definitely had more written in the "areas of improvement" than the reviews I can see. Vietnam is amazing, but knowing that these reviews were suspiciously missing any of our negative feedback makes me wonder how many others are too. Vietnam is great, the activities are great (I mean who doesn't love quad biking sand dunes?), but small groups (only 4 of us), bed bugs and tour guides that take us to restaurants purely to receive "bonuses" for bringing in customers doesn't really endure someone to reusing TruTravels. Buyer beware: if my groups reviews had been written without our permission on our behalf and mysteriously uttered, I'd think twice before handing over my money.

It was great being in a group of 13 and Pinky was great at knowing anything you asked about Vietnam! I loved staying in the backpackers hostel in Ninhvana and Castaways.
